today. Temperatures hitting 23 Celsius in south-west Scotland.

Widely, it was 20 or 21. A lovely day in Blackpool. Significantly

warmer than average in Glasgow. It is much warmer than Prague, but at

least hear the rain has stopped. Warmer than Paris and Lynn, and on a

par with Barcelona and Rome. Temperatures may get higher towards

the end of the week. It should feel very pleasant out there over the

next few days. Just one or two showers across the north. We saw

these shower clouds bubbling up today, mainly over Scotland. This

risk wind kept temperatures only 12 degrees in Kent, but this cloud is

bringing in a change tonight and through tomorrow. That low cloud is

invading from the north Sea, pushing inland, across the Pennines and

through the Welsh Marches. Not as cold as it was last night. For

central and eastern areas, a bit of a great start to tomorrow. That

cloud will lift, thin and brake and the sunshine comes through. Sunny

for a while, then we will see some patchy cloud and maybe a few showers

across the north. Possibly not quite the blue skies that most of England

and Wales saw today. A bit more cloud around, so not quite as warm.

It will not be anywhere near as windy across the south-east and East

Anglia. Disappointingly cool and cloudy on some of those North Sea

coasts. Some sunshine for Northern Ireland and Scotland. Temperatures

not as high as today, and possibly a few more showers around. Rather cool

and grey in the far north-east of Scotland. The north-east hangs onto

a bit of cloud on Thursday, but elsewhere we will see sunshine

developing more widely, and those temperatures beginning to creep up.
