Good evening. There is a winter storm heading our way. The Met

office are quite concerned about this one, have issued some amber

warnings because of the strength of the wind we are expecting. 75 mph

gust. This is the extent of the amber warning. He prepared for some

travel disruption and some coastal flooding, but just be aware that

outside of that there will be some lively wind. The satellite sequence

shows this cloud which will be causing trouble moving in quite

quickly from the north Atlantic. It is already quite windy across

northern Scotland. There is some heavy rain to content with. By the

end of the night that heavy rain will be all across Scotland and the

wind will be very strong indeed. Further south it is a quieter story,

with a widespread frost developing. Maybe some patches of fog to go with

it. In the morning, most of the action is taking place in Scotland.

It will be a pretty atrocious started the day with heavy rain, and

more significantly some really strong wind. It will be over the

hills and around the coast. 80 mph, and 75 mph in the lowlands. Notice

how the rain moves south, much colder air follows in behind. We

will see some significant snow showers to going with that. Down the

North Sea coast, the rain will move, and in the North Sea we will see

high tides, some coastal flooding. I suspect the Thames Barrier will be

closed. It is not just the North Sea coast. We could cease and coastal

flooding in the north-west of England. If you want more

the North of England. It will spread south. We see this widespread frost

developing from Scotland. It will move into East Anglia. Very cold

start to the day on Friday. There will be some rain, sleet and snow

showers coming in overnight. Very different day on Friday. The wind in

the east will die down pretty quickly. Bright start. Still some

snow showers in Scotland and at that band of rain moves in we will see

some snow developing for a time across parts of Holland. As we get

on into the weekend there is a lot of cloud around. -- parts of
