lots of sunshine. Then more rain lots of sunshine. Then more rain

pushes in from the west for the Bank Holiday Monday.

Good evening. There's a feel of autumn about the weather at the

moment. It's thanks to the fact we are pulling our off off the British

Isles from the north making for a cold feel by day and chilly nights.

Still some showers to contend with across England and Wales. Some heavy

through the small hours of Friday, particularly around the Bristol

channel and into the south-east towards the end of the night.

Further north, the breeze eases The showers fade away and with clear

skies, temperatures will fall down into single figures in northern

England, Northern Ireland and southern and central Scotland. For

Friday, he wassier showers hanging back across the far south-east of

England for the morning rush hour. A bit of cloud across eastern areas

first thing, perhaps producing one or two showers, but overall, fine

weather to get the day under way across England and Wales. The best

of the sunshine perhaps for northern England.

For northern Scotland, some showers around at first. We are likely to

see some of those throughout the day as we do continue with the northerly

and north-westerly breeze. A drier day, more sunshine and a slightly

lighter breeze. Those factors should combine to give us a slightly warmer

feel. Temperatures elsewhere a couple of degrees down on the

figures we'd expect for the time of year. It's that cool feeling that

will take us on into this weekend. Into Monday, a Bank Holiday for

some, it is looking like the forecast could change dramatically.

Here is Saturday. A lot of sunshine around, a lot of dry weather. Some

heavier showers possible for northern England pushing into East

Anglia later in the day. Saturday night is looking unseasonably

chilly. We could see a touch of frost. Very

unusual for temperatures to be that low in August. It's thanks to this

ridge of high pressure, still with us for Sunday. Plenty of sunshine to

come and temperatures again in mid to high teens. What comes next

leaves us with a question mark about its exact detail and timing, an area

of low pressure looks as though it will work its way across the British

Isles on Monday.
