decent day. Saturday could be a much better day, with some sunshine.

It certainly was a pretty wet day across parts of the country, lots of

downpours around. This is a picture from Kent, not particularly nice. We

still have some rain on the way for tonight. Tomorrow morning, some of

that when we'll be lingering, but there is sunshine on the way later

tomorrow. This is the rain bearing cloud for today. You can see the

front sweeping northwards across the country. Still some heavy rain

around the northern areas. To the south of the rain band, it is

relatively mild compared to Scotland, where it could be as low

as minus eight Celsius, but that is the exception. Early on Thursday

morning, there will be rain around, but any of that cloud and rain will

quickly be pushed to the south and west of the UK. Here, spots of rain

are likely through the morning and afternoon. But by the time you get

to the Midlands, most of Wales and East Anglia, the picture looks

different. A beautiful picture for Birmingham and parts of northern

England. Some nice weather in the Western Isles of Scotland, but

pretty chilly. Tomorrow evening, that weather front keeps hugging the

coast, anywhere from Kent down to Cornwall, so we could have bits and

pieces of rain. High pressure slowly start to anchor itself across the UK

during Friday. That will be a dominating feature as we head into

the weekend. That means that the high pressure is pushing away any

cloud and rain. For most of us, it is an improving picture from Friday

afternoon onwards. The weekend is looking a lot more cheerful. There

will be sunshine across most of the UK, although not guaranteed blue

skies. But at least feeling a bit warmer. Light winds on Saturday and

Sunday. It is looking drive this weekend and there will be warm

sunshine. But the nights will be nippy.
