Good evening. Beautiful day today across many

parts of the UK. Here is a picture from Wales, sunny skies and more of

the same tomorrow. In fact for many of us even better. There is that

last little lump of cloud across central and eastern areas, it's in

the process of melting away. Skies are clearing across most of the

country so that promises a beautiful day tomorrow. It's going to be

chilly, really chilly tonight. The stars are out, clear right across

the country. Eventually by the early hours of Wednesday morning

temperatures in the middle of towns and cities around six or seven. But

in rural spots, or even outside of town two or three and at its coldest

it could dip down to minus two. A nippy morning on the way for many

but a beautiful start to the day. Let's look at the afternoon.

Scotland, not so sunny everywhere because here northern parts of

Scotland, cloud and even spots of rain there from Orkney, but south of

the lowlands of Scotland the weather is looking sensational. A beautiful

day. The temperatures, talking about 15 to 17, but the point is that the

winds are very light tomorrow. The sun is powerful so it's going to

feel very warm, if you are having lunch outdoors tomorrow it's going

to feel very pleasant indeed. Tomorrow evening, fine end to the

day. Things change as we head towards Thursday. We have been

forecasting this low pressure to swing in from the south-west and

that means increasing amounts of cloud already from early on Thursday

and then through the morning into the afternoon we probably get hit

and miss showers anywhere across the southern third of the UK. To the

north of that should be dry and some sunshine on the way. Friday, that is

when things could get interesting. Very warm, humid air comes in from

the south, muggy. You will notice that. That also brings a potential

for thunder storms. It will be warm despite the cloud, temperatures may

even hit 20 in one or two areas. The showers that do occur if we get the

storms will be hit and miss. Some areas will get a downpower, others

won't get any at all. The weekend could bring some showers. It's going

to be mixed. But there will be sunshine around, as well.
