Good evening, I expect the Dave met or exceeded your July expectations

because it looked for the most part a bit like that in the southern

isles. One of the great parts would be it was 30 degrees in the London

area, or just about. Further north, 13 under quite a banner of cloud. We

don't care how arty you get with your weather pictures, that is

pretty disappointing for July. But to be fair to Ormesby, things

improved to this later on in the day, you can just about see

Middlesbrough in the distance. A real mixed bag on offer.

Overnight, a bit of a mixture as well. A new set of weather fronts

into Northern Ireland and eventually push on rain into the West of

Scotland. At the same time, some thunderstorms in the southern

counties on what will be a sticky night, 17-19 as a low, much pressure

in the North of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. How are we

fixed for the first part of Thursday? At eight o'clock, some

low-level mark. This could be interesting because these

thunderstorms could deliver quite a bit of rain quite quickly. Quite

localised, not everybody will see them. Drive further north and the

Midlands, North Wales, the rain quitting Northern Ireland, but is

there again all over central, southern and western parts of

Scotland. Then off and running into the day. We're going to push those

thunderstorms or the chance of them ever further through the East

Midlands towards East Anglia. Drier weather following behind. And then,

things come together, and it's a bit of an if, come the latter part of

the afternoon, we will find these thunderstorms breaking out on this

diagonal to the North Midlands up into the north-east of England, and

they could deliver torrential downpours, because we're going to

push some heat into the north of England. 21 perhaps Newcastle, but

not much further south. 29-30 in the south. Through the evening, those

thunderstorms rumble off into the North Sea to leave us another sticky

night, especially in the southern half of Britain. Friday, a quieter

day for the most part, a quieter day but a few showery bursts parts at

the border area and later in Northern Ireland. Again, close

feeling across the south-east. But generally speaking, a little fresher

elsewhere. And then a weather front sneaks its way through Northern

Ireland on Saturday, towards the borders and into the north of

England. Not the only one BBC Sport and Wimbledon,

on together for 90 years.
