Today the heat was focused on the south-east of England, tomorrow this

will be the focus of some rain. This was today in Kent, where we actually

saw the highest temperatures, not far away from Maidstone, 29 degrees.

We had 26 up in Chelmsford. Tomorrow we're going to struggle to make 15

or 16 degrees, a significant change from the last couple of days. It is

a two pronged rain attack, cloud from the near continent producing

showers, this will thicken up, rain developing in the south-west

approach is heading towards Wales, the Midlands and eventually the

south-west of England. At the same time, the showers in the channel

will develop more widely in the south-east. Further north, clear

skies, chilly overnight tonight, but for much of England and Wales, much

milder. Temperatures will not rise very much at all tomorrow, starting

with wet weather across the south-west of England, rain in

Wales, South and south-east looks more likely, wet weather across the

Midlands, heavy bursts for East Anglia and the south-east of

England. Try and brighter across North Wales and northern England,

but a shield of cloud here. Sunshine for Northern Ireland and northern

Scotland, showers in the north-west. Not as windy in Scotland as it was

today, but further showers developing in the afternoon across

Northern Ireland. By then, the rain should have cleared from Wales,

leaving one or two showers. Slow improvements for the south of

England, rain continues in the south-east, perhaps Lincolnshire and

the East Midlands too. 16-17 degrees is typical, may struggle to reach

that in the south-east, where it will be a miserable day. Wetter

weather around this area of low pressure will tend to sneak away

overnight, pushing up towards Scandinavia, so the wetter weather

should have cleared away by Thursday morning, out into the North Sea. It

will leave behind some brighter skies, sunshine, a scattering of

showers, mainly out towards the West, quite slow-moving, hit and

miss but rather heavy. At this stage, it looks like it will be try

and warmer towards the south-east. By Friday, those showers will

migrate towards south-eastern parts of the UK, as the north-west becomes
