Hello. Cold air is with us for the

weekend. Mild air fights back next

week. Today in the cold air, plenty

of sunshine in southern England. In

Scotland Sunny spells but blustery

showers. For the weekend it is

Scotland that will see the lion's

share of the sunshine. Still

blustery showers out there overnight

and wintry in nature in the hills in

the North. One or two showers in

Northern Ireland, northern England.

Elsewhere mainly dry. There are some

clear spells, a patchy rather than

widespread frost going into Saturday

morning. Sunspots in the countryside

will be colder. Some may come out of

frost overnight depending on weather

it's cloudy or clear. At 9am still

blustery showers in the north-east

of Scotland and the Northern Isles.

Elsewhere dry with plenty of

sunshine to come. Northern Ireland

is rather cloudy but dry. Should I

was working south through northern

England. After that the sun comes

out, especially north-east England.

For East Anglia and the south-east

the sunshine won't last too long.

Thicker cloud into Wales, the West

Midlands and south-west England. The

odd shower running into East Anglia.

In south Wales and southern England

will see more persistent rain into

the afternoon and evening. The

northern England especially in the

north-east and across Scotland away

from the far north plenty of

afternoon sunshine. Technically

milder for some towards the

south-west. It won't feel like that

with the cloud and rain. Still some

rain in South Wales and southern

England on Saturday. Becoming

confined to the far south-west

overnight. Clear skies elsewhere and

aim more widespread frost on Sunday

morning. If you fog patches to the

west to begin the day on Sunday but

here will see some cloud and

outbreaks of rain. The best of

Sunday sunshine in the East of

Scotland, eastern side of England,

another cold day. We'll take some

rain northwards on Sunday night into

Monday. That cold air could produce

a bit of snow in Scotland. It is a

battle between mild air and cold
