Four soldiers killed in acthon have been honoured with memorial stones

in a special ceremony in Leicestershire earlier today

Three of them had been previously unidentified.

Today's dedication service followed an 18`month investigation

by the Royal British Legion to identify them.

We unveil these stones, on which are recorded the n`mes

of the men of North West Leicestershire district...

Today's ceremony to dedicatd the memorial stones means that

the sacrifice of four service men, who have been killed since 0945

I think the feeling is that, over the last few years, service men

have come very much into thd public eye, only because of the conflicts

They are not suddenly men who were in the past, they are here `nd now.

Friends, relatives, and members of the Armed Forces attended

the event to pay their tribtte to Reuben Nicholls, who died in Korea,

George Bott and Ronnie Bowm`n, who were killed in Cyprus, and, more

recently, Adam Morris who lost his life while serving in Iraq.

Historians worked with council and Ministry of Defence offhcials

to search records for the n`mes of the four men.

With their names now engravdd for generations to come,

the people of Coalville will finally get to say a permanent thank you to
