The man who set-up Belper Hockey Club was remembered today,

100 years since he was killed fightin in the Battle of Arras.

Henry Gordon Wright's legacy has seen thousands

of players take up the sport, including an Olympic champion.

Side-by-side, players of all ages took a moment to remember the man

Henry Gordon Wright died at the age of 32, during the battle

Today was a chance to remind younger members

of the legacy he left behind, as well as the sacrifice

What we want is for the young players particularly to understand

more about the history of the club and for the local community

to have an understanding of the commitment we have to

celebrating the legacy of Henry Gordon Wright,

and also recognising his place within the wider Belper community.

Amongst those taking part was Ron, 84.

At one point three generations of his family

I've had an enjoyable lifetime down here.

I think the wife wasn't too pleased at times, but there you are.

The game has improved, it's got faster - I've got slower.

Over the years, thousands of players have passed through,

including Holly Webb, who scored the winning goal

for the women's hockey team in the Rio Olympics.

The club want to make sure Henry's vision keeps growing

Fire damaged a large area of Bradgate Park

The blaze, yesterday evening, destroyed

around 1,000 square metres of scrubland.

Marc Rose, who shared these pictures with us,

was there with his family at the time.

The Bradgate Park Trust believes either a cigarette or a barbecue,

which are banned on the site, may have been to blame.

A new virtual reality system for dentists is now in use

Nottinghamshire's Sherwood Forest Hospitals is the first post-graduate

training centre in the world to use the simulator, developed in Holland.

It's hoped that honing basic skills in the dental training suite

at the Kingsmill Hospital will reduce the amount

of more complex work needed by patients overall.

The more that we can actually refine the techniques, the less we will

probably need to do in terms of advanced dentistry

and by practising the minimal techniques on the

simulators means that we are going to get a much better

Over 900 bikers took part in a huge Easter egg run today.

It was the 37th one organised by the Nottinghamshire Fire

and south-eastern England. We saw highs of 25 degrees. Slightly
