One of London's busiest hospitals is giving its security staff

body cameras, after a dramatic increase

in the number of attacks on nurses and other frontline workers.

The trial at Guy's and St Thomas' comes as more than 70

people were arrested in the last six months.

Some patients were banned from the hospital altogether.

It's being supported by the Met who hope the cameras will ddter

They are preparing for work. Work at a hospital. So, perhaps this is a

sign and sound of the times. From next week, they will be doing this

for real. Like London's polhce, they will be putting on body worn

cameras. To tackle a growing problem with attacks on staff. The

statistics will tell you whx. There were 850 incidents between @pril and

September this year. That is up from 620 from the same time in 2015. A

rise of 27%. Over the same period, 75 arrests, up from 30 last year. It

is hoped the new cameras will help to reassure staff and patients.

Hello. Staff can feel intimhdated and very threatened by the

individuals involved. And it can be emotionally very upsetting for them

and makes it difficult for them to do their job. And also that can

affect the patients who also feel intimidated and threatened. Bosses

here have already been taking steps to protect staff. 26 patients have

been excluded from the hosphtal More than 100 have been issted with

behaviour contracts. And thdy say they've spent a long time trying to

find the most secure video system possible before launching the

scheme. This system is one that loads directly onto a securd server,

so the footage cannot be pl`yed around with or deleted. It will go

to the server, then we will downloaded onto a disc and provided

to the police. So it is sectre in terms of patient confidenti`lity? It

is one of the most secure sxstems that we could find. The six,month

trial is being backed by thd Met Police, which says hopes will be

rolled out across the NHS in London if it is successful.

Yes, when he opened the prosecution case this morning, he warned the

jury that listening to the dvidence would require strong stomachs as

well as broad minds. The sulmary of the evidence we have heard so far

has been very graphic and gruesome. Stefano Brizzi was originally from

Italy and came to the UK in 201 . He is charged with murdering PC Gordon

Semple. It Metropolitan Polhce petrol. That was an April the 1st.

He is also charged with dislembering his body and concealing it from the

coroner. He says what happened was an accident, a result of a drug

fuelled sex game gone wrong. And the jury heard both men had extreme

sexual preferences and had lade contact via the gay dating `t

Grindr. They said PC Semple had gone to his flat and spent much of the

afternoon there and at some point was strangled to death. His body was

not found for one week. When police officers got to the flat, they

banned the horrific scene and Stefano Brizzi met them at the door

saying, I have tried to resolve the body. I have killed the polhce

officer. Satan told me to. There were emotional scenes in cotrt this

afternoon when the jury was shown CCTV footage of Stefano Brizzi in a

shop buying power tools, a bucket and cleaning materials. He had to

leave court and the session was abandoned for the day. He h`s

admitted obstructing the, r`bbi concealing the body. He denhes

murder. The case is expected to last three weeks. -- obstructing the

coroner. Talk of affordable housing

Dagenham. They are going very well. Not quick as we would like to. I

want to Southwark to have one. Definitely, I will be so

disappointed if that didn't happen. The estate I grew up on, thd youth

club is being talked about being closed down. There is more politics

that goes on in London. But I'm sure, in time, we will get there.

And we will be able to change a lot of lives. Still plans to sort out

before they can be sure of success in their first appearance in the

opened. The counter terrorism command of the Metropolitan Police

with a ?25,000 armed raid. So, why does the National Crime Agency

believe some criminals choose Spain? There is a large expat Brithsh

community in Spain. They like to mix with that to evade capture. We now

have an extremely good and close partnership with our Spanish

counterparts. And we want to make it so that Spain is not a safe haven

for these people. There are three other wanted men from London whose

names were published on the list today. Jamie a court from south

London was one of them. One of the suspected killers of Stephen

Lawrence. Matthew Salmon is suspected of making and possessing

indecent photographs of children. And another is wanted in connection

with fraud by false representation. Although Shane O'Brien has been

linked with Spain, he could be elsewhere. And Josh's mum h`s this

appeal. The desperation that you feel to put an end to that part of

this horrific experience and journey that we will be on for our rest --

the rest of our lives withott him. It doesn't matter where you are if

you can help us, please do. They hope the Spanish operation will help

to bring more of the UK's most wanted to justice at home.

conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Looking around, I was like, I

recognise these spaces. These guys walking around. Then I realhsed two

Hamza. I didn't want to be `round criminals. He became possessed with

working out in his cell, colpleting thousands the day. When he was moved

to a category B prison, he turned his focus to the indoor rowhng

me and when I stopped, the lonitor stopped. And he went, my God, that

is quick. Then he came with these records. He asked if I could beat

them. I said yes. And then H did one after the other. And within a year

and a half, I set nearly evdry British record on a rowing lachine.

Now a rowing record holder, when he was released he headed for the

London rowing club. But he kept his past the boat race, mostly dducated

and upper-class people. I w`s paranoid I accepted. I was rowing

with a lot of guys from the Met They didn't have a clue that the guy

sitting in front of them spdnt ten years in prison. What did they say

when they found out? They wdre gobsmacked. Everyone has

preconceptions of criminals. They were shocked no one expected it or

questioned his past. Everybody thought he was really great for

coming out. Performed and accepted, he has released a book about his

life and has a new sporting career ahead of him. I want to become a

professional triathlete. I want to do iron I want to become successful

in sport and give back something through sport. I understand the

achieve in sport, the more H can show the impossible

Now, in a era of impossible computer games and social media,

you may think youth clubs are a thing of the past.

But one that's still going strong is St Andrews in Westminster.

It's popular with local children and parents

And it's celebrating a rather special birthday.

launched in 1866 in market Street, Soho, the world's oldest yotth club.

Saint Andrews was founded bx the Victorian businessman and

philanthropist, George Godolphin. The club moved to Westminstdr in

1885. And it became equipped with its own games room and gym. Today

the club celebrates its and its current high Street. A Sophos macro

youth Centre, from five to `dult hood. On average, the club sees more

than 700 young people through its doors each year. And offers them a

safe and active environment. It has become a pillar of the commtnity.

to do this stuff. And it is important, because people lhke me,

but have aspirations. I want to be the best football coach in the

world. But you cannot just say that. You have to put it into practice.

heavily on public donations. Given the club is always trying to invent

new ways to funds coming. Wd have to look after ourselves. Every year we

have to raise around ?400,000 to keep the door open and Saint Andrews
