Three women have been arrested on suspicion of terror offences

The arrests are being linked to the counter-terrorism operation

that saw a woman shot and injured in Willesden last week.

Tolu Adeoye is at Scotland Yard for us tonight.

Tolu, what's the latest from the Yard?

Police have told us that the three women are teenagers. Two of them are

18, one is 19 years old. They were arrested at three separate addresses

in east London under the suspicion of admission, preparation and

instigation of terrorist acts. Police say they are now being held

in custody outside London. The Met have confirmed that the arrests were

part of an ongoing terrorism investigation at a house in north

London. It was there that a 21-year-old woman was shot and

injured by armed officers. Six others were arrested, including five

in north London and one in Kent. It was information gathered during that

operation that led to this arrest. We have any more details on the

women who were shot on Thursday night? She was discharged from

hospital yesterday and then arrested on suspicion of the same offences as

the other suspects. That means seven of them are women. One is a

16-year-old boy. Police have described this as a filing of an act

of terror plot. Investigations are very much ongoing, but there have

not yet been any charges. Thank you for that update.

In the last half hour, the emergency services have

confirmed that two children are being treated for life

threatening injuries after a house fire in Essex.

A 13-year-old boy has been airlifted to the Royal London Hospital,

while a ten-year-old boy has been taken to Basildon Hospital.
