Residents of tower blocks in several London Boroughs have now been

told their buildings have failed a fire inspection tests.

But unlike in Camden, where residents have been evacuated

until the buildings are made safe, Hounslow Council told tenants today

The council invited residents to tell them what they are doing. They

said they hope it is going to come down in eight days' time so the

begin of July. They say they are putting a 24 hours fire warden on

site, but they are stressing at this stage, they are not announcing an

evacuation. Some may question why. The council

says they have been advised by the Fire Service that the building is

safe enough for people to stay. After the meeting, Ray and his

daughter Kim show us around. Ray's family have told him they are so

core worried they want him to leave I will admit, I have told Kimi, that

just one of the reasons why hundreds of flats have been evacuated in

Camden overnight. It is thought there are now eight councils across

the capital have have discovered similar fire risks to tower blocks.

Each is being dealt with in a different way. In Hounslow the

scaffolding is going up but residents won't be moved. The

council say they will do more fire safety checks on Monday.

One EDL speaker was greeted with cheers when he said he could be

"the first white suicide bomber in England".

The murdered MP, Jo Cox, has been honoured by having a coat

of arms unveiled in the Houses of Parliament by her two children,

who designed the memorial plaque which was installed

Ms Cox was murdered by a far-right extremist last year.

The plaque bears a motto which reflects the unity.

This summer, London is to become the first city to host

the World Athletics Championships AND the World Para Athletics

But it's a sport currently dogged by doping scandals,

so our reporter Chris Slegg spoke to the outgoing UK Athletics

chairman, about whether London 2017 can turn things around.
