A major homecare provider h`s had one of its contracts termin`ted

Care UK took over the daycare of more than 200 people

in the Broadland district of Norfolk a year ago.

Now, following a series of problems and warnings

from the county council, it's agreed to hand the contracts back.

80`year`old Neville suffered a stroke a year ago. Care has been

provided by Care UK. He ratds the individual carers, but not the

company, who have now agreed to hand the contract back. I think that s a

good thing really. I wonder why they took so long, to be honest. You

don't think they are organised very well? No, they're not. Soon after

Care UK took over Roger complained about the quality of it is service.

The County Council demanded improvements. They talk abott zero

contracts. That was zero`rated It has care. Got better since then For

me, yes. The County Council says there be ha a gradual transfer of

responsibility so Care UK c`n focus its efforts in Great Yarmouth and

North Norfolk. If Care UK wdre bringing in extra resources to

salvage the Broadland contr`ct it would have a knock`on for the the

will continue to monitor thd performance of Care UK and other

care providers if it becomes clear they are falling short of the

standards expected it won't hesitate to take action.
