Police are hunting a gang who robbed an 82-year-old man

at his home, pulling the wedding ring from his finger.

Detectives say intruders ransacked the house at Bletchley -

before making off with a haul of jewellery.

like that. I just feel sorry for them. Detectives are asking people

with information or who may have seen a getaway vehicle parked up, or

offered items of jewellery, to contact them on 101.

Kevin Birch, BBC look East. Police are continuing to question

an 18-year-old man on suspicion of murder following a double

stabbing at a party in Southend. It happened in the early hours

of yesterday morning. A 17-year-old remains

job next month. The new man starts in June but he has vast experience

and good humour that will not be lost -- Richards Todd. But he is

staying with the National Trust as an adviser.

Now for the Bank Holiday Monday weather - here's Georgina Burnett.

Good evening. As we head through the night, we will see the back of the

rain from this evening. Not all clear overnight. It is quite a

cloudy start to the day. Remnants persisting, and through the day, we

will see a shower. A couple likely to be on the heavy side but being

showers we will not all see those. A fair amount of cloud through the day

but some spots will be sunny. Quite a lot of brightness around tomorrow.

Out of the sunshine, it will feel fairly cool. Temperatures of 11 or

12 degrees, along the east coast in particular, we may not get above

single figures. Through the week, with high-pressure taking charge,

settled weather, sunny spells but frosty nights to come.

more promise, clear skies and some flower -- cloud showers compared to

today. The cloud reducing rain through the south-east overnight

although some rain will be welcome in a garden and mostly dry later

and the coldest weather meaning a touch of frost for the morning of

the brightest weather to start eastern Monday. Showers developing

through the day, particularly for northern Scotland, they will be

wintry over the hills with rain at lower levels
