Hull and East Yorkshire's new maternity unit opens,

giving more choice to women, but it's only thanks

A midwife led unit was promised almost six years ago and it's only

because a private funding that this has been able to be built now.

weather forecast for the week. Women in Hull and East Yorkshire

are finally being given the chance to give birth in a unit lead

by midwives, without doctors. It's supposed to be an option

across England, but for the last six years there has been no such centre

in the Hull area. And it's only happened now

thanks to a donation of hundreds of thousands pounds

from a local woman. This report by Kate Sweeting has

some flash photography. It might look like a hotel,

but this is Hull's long awaited midwife led unit,

a place where women can have their babies safely with little

or no medical intervention. The new centre offers a home from

surroundings, relaxed surroundings, surroundings, relaxed surroundings,

birthing pools in each room and a hotel like feel to the environment

will provide a relaxing environment for the women.

The centre is named after Fatima Allam,

whife of Hull City owner Dr Assem Allam, who funded most

front of doctors and midwives. They are doing a great job and they are

there for you. But you need your own time and your own privacy and it is

risk of complictations, but for those needing medical

choice about where and how they have their babies.

Two bodies have been found at the house of a missing

Bernice Williams was last seen more than two weeks ago.

Today police said they were linking the missing person investigation

to the discovery of the bodies at her house in the small village

I'll take you back to the beginning of this story.

On 25th March, police put out an apeal to try and find

50-year-old Bernice Williams who had gone missing.

She was a very active member of the community.

It's understood she was a a churchwarden at Lutton St

Nicholas Parish Church and a primary school teacher

at Sutton Bridge Westmere Primary School.

In fact, many of her pupils posted messages on social media hoping

that she would be found safe and well.

But today we got the news that two bodies had been found,

that of a man and woman, in the house believed

They were discovered at the weekend and although police havent yet

revealed their identities they are linking the two cases

and that missing persons appeal has now been taken down

At the moment they are still investigating the cause of death

and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

But they say at this stage they are not looking for anyone else

But of course anyone with information should contact them.

Car parking charges in some Lincolnshire market towns could be

reintroduced after just a year of free parking.

East Lindsey District Council says some people are staying too long

It wants to reintroduce charges for staying more than a few

visitors can leave their cars here all day for free while they popped

to the shops but the council says too many are taking advantage of

that. People visiting or working in the town are parking in the car park

all day. We really want to use car parking as a mechanism to help drive

the economy of the town. Parking charges were introduced in 2013 but

traders say it put off shoppers and they were scrapped in April last

year. Now the council is considering a range of changes to parking,

including bringing in charges after one or two hours. But businesses say

the free parking has brought in more customers and they are concerned

about the change. We found it really beneficial because of footfall

through the shop, convenience. The two hours, yes, it is not bad, but I

think the charge does tend to put people off if they are going to

perhaps meet friends or spend more time in the village. And there's a

mixed reaction from those that use the car park. They want to make up

their minds. It was not that long ago they were giving free time and

charging for the rest of the time and the car park was nearly empty.

Actually two hours would have done. Two hours, yes, I can do quite a lot

in two hours but it would be nice if we could have just a little more. If

approved, the new charges could be in place by the end of May but the

council says they would review them in a year's time to see what effect

they have had. The father of Ryan Smith,

who suffered head injuries in a bike crash, has

received his British Empire Medal after his fundraising

efforts and campaigning. Ryan from Chapel St Leonards

was 16when he suffered a brain injury after colliding

with a van in 2013. His father Mark has campaigned

for a law to force cyclists to wear Mark received the award

earlier this evening. We have visited over 30,000 children

in schools and colleges and there is more children out there now thanks

to Ryan's story protecting their heads that little bit more.

Certainly with what we've achieved over the last three years, we know

we've made a difference. Grimsby Town Football Club have

sacked their manager. Marcus Bignot has been at the club

for six months and has guided the Mariners to a mid table position

in League Two. Almost 2,000 daffodils made entirely

of Lego bricks have been The display in the newly created

King Edward Square is part of the City of Culture year

to celebrate Easter. The flowers will remain in place

until the 18th April. They have sprung up overnight. They

won't need watering. I wonder how many man-hours went into making

them. There's lots of Lego pieces put together to make it like a

proper daffodil. Really nice, really good idea. We haven't got one big

weekend, so we thought we would come and see the daffodils.

50,000 tickets were available for the big weekend event at the end of

May. Tickets went on sale this morning. Let's get the forecast.

Some weak weather fronts to come this week but very little if any

rain to come. Tomorrow looks dry and bright and breezy. That is one of

the week whether France on Wednesday night bringing patchy rain in places

but really trivial amounts of rain. And as I say, many of us will stay

Good evening. Let's cut to the chase the first big holiday weekend of the

year is on the horizon and if you consider last weekend as a taster

for the summer, this weekend is not looking too bad. It will be a bit

cooler, temperatures this week and closer to where they should be at

this time of the year thanks to the north-west breed and the reason for

that, if we look at the jet stream, coming across the Atlantic pushing

from north to south -- north-west breeze. It separates the high

pressure and low price and it allows the northerly airflow to develop.
