Hull City Football Club has gone to the police to complain that

a magazine article about owner Assem Allam is racist.

The publisher of Tenfoot City says the comments were supposed to be

funny and that people should stop being sensitive.

But police are investigating the article, which contains a string

of insults, including one which is sexually graphic.

It's in this free magazine that the offending comments were made.

An article written by an author known as Tenfoot Tiger talks

about Hull City's season, but refers to the Allam

family - who own the club - in a number of derogatory terms

The words are too offensive to show on television,

but one term refers to a sexual act with a camel.

Humberside Police has confirmed it's now investigating,

and it's being treated as a hate incident.

But one lawyer who's read the article disagrees,

and says it can only take one person to be offended for police action.

It doesn't have to be the person it was referring to,

it can be anybody has read that and feels that way.

Like I say, those words before - harassed, alarmed, distressed -

But then the step up from that is effectively the fact

that it is aggravated by the abusive term with regards to race.

Tonight, Hull City said the comments are totally unacceptable

and confirmed that it's raised the matter with Humberside Police

In a statement, the club said, we are duty bound to report any

incidents of racism, and are proud participants

in a number of initiatives, including the Kick It Out campaign,

the Premier League Equality Standard.

Thousands of children in Lincolnshire could

have the funding for their education cut by ?500 a year each.

That's according to the National Union Of Teachers,

which is warning there'll be fewer teachers and more mixed-age classes

if a new Government funding package is put in place.

Rural schools have long complained that when it comes to funding,

The Government is planning to reform the system and make it fairer.

But at this village school near Boston, they say the Government

We're going to be suffering something like about a ?30,000

That would probably mean we have to lose one class.

So rather than seven year groups, it would have to be six,

and therefore you finish up with mixed age groups across the school.

Some schools appear to benefit from the new formula, but according

to the National Union Of Teachers, by 2019, Lincolnshire will face

a real-terms cut to its education budget of nearly ?45 million.

This would mean around ?500 less to be spent on each pupil,

and would equate to a loss of just over 1200 teachers

Schools will have to make decisions, for example, to cut subjects.

Probably no sixth form provision, that will have to be looked at.

If you haven't got the teachers, they aren't good to be

able to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.

Lincolnshire is a poorly funded-authority in

We've lobbied long and hard at the county council that school

funding should be increased for it to be fair.

And therefore we do not consider that any school

in Lincolnshire should be losing under the proposals,

and that's the response we've firmly put back to Government.

But the Government has dismissed the NUT's figures as misleading.

of funding is higher than it's ever been, as schools like this one,

they're adamant that the new formula is likely to lead to redundancies

and, ultimately, to affect the quality of education

Many of the 3000 people who went naked on a July morning last year
