Northumbria Police have named a man who was killed in an accident

He was Lewis Knapp, who was 20 and lived in Boldon Colliery.

He died after being struck by a car as he crossed Anderson Street

in South Shields in the early hours of Saturday.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death

by dangerous driving, and has been released on bail.

And Cumbria Police have named a teenager who died

He was Jordan McClure who died at the scene of the single car

His family said he was a beloved son, full of light and life.

Cumbria Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.

A 51-year-old man's appeared in court charged with murdering

Craig Guy, who was 34, was found stabbed to death last

Thursday night at The Beacon - a centre for homeless veterans.

Ian McLaughlin appeared before York Magistrates this morning.

He'll next appear at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday.

An investigation's underway after a North Yorkshire fire crew

was sent to the wrong address by a control room based more

The mistake caused a ten minute delay in reaching

a fire at a business park at Killinghall, near Harrogate.

Police began a week-long speed campaign today,

whether people that had such an unusual talent

Hopefully you managed to enjoy some good weather this Easter. It has not
