Good evening. A woman who suffered a fractured skull when she was blown

over by strong winds near Yorkshire's tallest building has

called for emergency measures to control gales in the area. Today the

owners of Bridgewater Place put plans of how they intend to remedy

the problem on public display. Cathy Booth has more. Panels in the

ceiling are vibrating as the wind blows, but the noise is the least of

the worries. Last year, a woman had her skull fracked should when she

was blown over, and previously, a man had died. Janet says the changes

are not coming quickly enough. I am very concerned that they do not seem

to have any interim plans. It is going to be at least two years

before these are in place, and what are they going to do in the

meantime, do we just have to take our chances on foot and risk getting

blown away again? Lead city council does have plans to shut a busy road

junction and divert pedestrians when wind speeds hit 45mph. `` Leeds City

Council. In the meantime, Janet is planning legal action against the

owners of the building. Police are appealing for witnesses

to a road traffic accident in Halifax last night in which two men

were killed. The accident happened on Ovenden Road when a VW Golf

collided with a lamp post. A 20`year`old and a 19`year`old from

Queensbury died as a result of the impact. A passenger was taken to

hospital with serious injuries. West Yorkshire snowboarder Jamie

Nicholls has finished sixth in the Winter Olympics in Sochi. Back home

in West Yorkshire, his sisters were cheering him on and invited James

Vincent to join in. A cup of tea, stick the telly on and watch your

brother jumping 40 feet into the air, trying to win a gold medal. We

know he will do it, here's a superstar. Some were nervous, some

did not watch at all, others were ready. Come on, Jamie! Now, the

triptych... Yes! Well, he is in third place, so we

want everyone else to fall! But it was not enough, and Jamie was

eventually notched down to sixth place. But there was a lot of family

pride. Fantastic. So pleased for him. He has done really well. Sixth

place. I am really happy, I cannot believe it, I am just happy that

both of us made it into the finals and we both got a top ten. Can not

So from the slopes to the pitch ` and we'll start with Leeds United.

The man who wants to buy a majority stake in the club is expected to

visit next week to try and complete the deal. The team travelled to

bottom of the table Yeovil, who initially had the better of Leeds.

But goals from Ross McCormack and this spectacular free kick from

Stephen Warnock turned it around. Final score, 2`1 to Leeds. That

result leaves Leeds in tenth place. Elsewhere in the Championship,

Barnsley secured a point with a 2`2 draw against Ipswich, Brighton

scored a sole winner over Doncaster, but Huddersfield had the better of

Wigan ` just like the town's Superleague team did last night!

Sheffield Wednesday's renaissance continues with a 2`0 win over

Reading. Wednesday heading for mid`table.

In League One, the results looked like this... Bradford battled Crewe

all afternoon, six goals in the match, final score three apiece,

with Gary Jones scoring twice for the Bantams. Colchester's match

against Rotherham was postponed. Sheffield United put two past

Shrewsbury, but are still in the bottom four. And the top of the

table clash in League Two finished one apiece ` Chesterfield still

clear by three points. York against Cheltenham was goalless. And you can

Football League Show, is right after Match of the Day at 11.45pm.

Let's take a check on the weather forecast. Good evening. As we head

through this evening and overnight, it is going to stay windy, with

showers. In western areas, they are likely to be heavy, possibly

thundery, and they could be wintering over the tops. Overnight

it will stay frost free. Temperatures down to about four or

five degrees. It will be a breezy start tomorrow morning, with showers

from the word go. Into the afternoon, they are likely to become

lighter. The best of the sunny spells, later on. That's all for
