Good evening. A Yorkshire MP says disgraced politician Denis MacShane

has been let out of jail too early. The former Rotherham MP was released

on Friday after serving less than a third of his sentence for falsely

claiming thousands of pounds in expenses. But Conservative Simon

Reevell says he should have been behind bars for far longer. Here's

our political editor Len Tingle. Before the Rotherham MP has served

less than seven weeks of the six`month sentence he received for

fraudulently using bogus invoices to claim almost ?13,000 of

Parliamentary expenses. I have learned a lot. It has been a

humbling, rewarding experience. I am fitter than I have been for the last

ten years. I am glad to get and see my children, family and friends. But

the MP who won the by`election of the Denis MacShane was forced to

resign was asked what people in Rotherham and thought of his early

release. Do you think people will be angry? I don't know if they will be

angry. It is surprising it is only six weeks but if that is what the

George thought appropriate, that is it. I think justice has been served.

It is a matter of debate if you think he is fair after a third. He

is an example of people who are getting out sooner than they should.

Chris Grayling has introduced a bill about keeping people in prison in

longer. I hope Denis MacShane with have the decency to keep his head

down. Denis MacShane hasn't revealed was Clancy has for the future. ``

what plans he has. Police are investigating after a man

died in a nightclub in Halifax. The 38`year`old was punched and fell,

hitting his head at the Liquid nightclub in the early hours of this

morning. Police say the man who threw the punch left immediately and

may not be aware of the outcome. He is described as in his late 20s or

early 30s with short, dark hair. He was wearing a black long sleeved

t`shirt. I would urge to come forward. It is my belief that he did

not anticipate killing this 38`year`old man. But it is in his

interest and I would ask him to think about the family of this man.

We need to get together and resolve this for him as soon as possible.

The Yorkshire Wildlife Park has said it's saddened to hear of the death

of a Danish giraffe which it had offered to re`home. Marius, who

lived at Copenhagen Zoo, made international headlines when it was

announced he was to be put down despite being a young, apparently

healthy animal. The park near Doncaster said it had room for

Marius in its giraffe house but that it had never heard back from the

Danish Zoo. A swimming pool, closed in Bradford

nearly three years ago, is about to reopen. Manningham Baths is a listed

building, the council closed it because it said it couldn't afford

it. It's being replaced by a women only gym. Architects have worked

round the Victorian design features and say they hope it will help

regenerate the area. That it has been retained as a

leisure facility and involved in health and fitness as it was always

intended to be is a great tribute to the spirit of people here and to the

developers and the investors in people behind it. The conservation

team have been supportive as well. It has an extraordinary amount of

support in the community. Football now and Sheffield Wednesday

extended their great run of form yesterday when they beat promotion

chasers Reading. Huddersfield meanwhile ended their run of four

straight defeats. James Vincent has the round`up.

Sheffield Wednesday 's revival under Stuart Gray. The unbeaten in eight

league games. Stuart Pearce was set for Redding. Then came the second

A real mixed bag of weather today. Is it any better?

As we head through this evening it into tonight it is going to become

host to dry and with clear skies and the light breeze we are looking at

it just trust. Showers fizzling out. We shall have clear skies and the
