Tonight, West Yorkshire is revealed as the crime capital of the country. | :00:00. | :00:08.
The number of serious offences is going up. | :00:09. | :00:10.
We'll hear from a police chief about the challenges | :00:11. | :00:12.
We've lost ?140 million out of our budget over the last few years and | :00:13. | :00:28.
we have 2000 less officers and staff working for us. | :00:29. | :00:30.
We'll also ask her about community tensions in the wake | :00:31. | :00:32.
A hefty fine for the man who illegally demolished his house - | :00:33. | :00:37.
and wrecked his neighbours' home in the process. | :00:38. | :00:39.
It's been part of Scarborough's landscape for more than a century - | :00:40. | :00:42.
but is the Futurist Theatre facing the final curtain? | :00:43. | :00:54.
Later and look North, no, no, no and no. We meet the people who are going | :00:55. | :01:02.
"A month. Join me later for the detailed | :01:03. | :01:03.
forecast. West Yorkshire is the crime capital | :01:04. | :01:09.
of the country according to police The region has the highest crime | :01:10. | :01:13.
rate in England and Wales and there is a growing trend | :01:14. | :01:19.
of violent and serious Our data journalist David Rhodes has | :01:20. | :01:21.
been looking at the numbers for us. The latest figures show | :01:22. | :01:28.
that there were over 200,000 recorded crimes | :01:29. | :01:30.
in West Yorkshire last year. And a quarter of these | :01:31. | :01:33.
were violent crimes. Now the crime rate for England | :01:34. | :01:36.
and Wales stands at 68 crimes The crime rate in West Yorkshire | :01:37. | :01:39.
is 90 crimes for every 1000 people. And the offences being | :01:40. | :01:46.
committed in our region West Yorkshire has a history of | :01:47. | :02:07.
being the scene of some of the country's most notorious crimes. It | :02:08. | :02:09.
was the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, during the 1970s whilst | :02:10. | :02:12.
recently the murder of a teacher and the death of MP, Jo Cox, are crimes | :02:13. | :02:16.
which have captured the world's attention. We turn to the nation | :02:17. | :02:25.
overseas now, a politician murdered. A rising star of British politics. | :02:26. | :02:36.
This gentleman was murdered and the police found 70 different injuries | :02:37. | :02:39.
on his body. Every serious crime has an impact on those left behind. We | :02:40. | :02:48.
were constantly looking over our shoulders, seeing if anyone was | :02:49. | :02:50.
following us, thinking, or have they done it? Why aren't they being | :02:51. | :02:53.
questioned? The fact West Yorkshire has the highest crime rate in the | :02:54. | :02:58.
country is unsurprising to some. It wouldn't surprise me if it was the | :02:59. | :03:04.
top at all. The stuff you see round here is... And bringing your kids | :03:05. | :03:13.
into it as well. Every crime recorded by police is now | :03:14. | :03:27.
being recorded for its severity. If you are caught with cannabis, that | :03:28. | :03:31.
crime has a low score but possessing a gun or a weapon has a higher score | :03:32. | :03:34.
and this is why West Yorkshire is statistically the crime capital of | :03:35. | :03:36.
the country. The crimes being committed here are really strong. | :03:37. | :03:42.
The level of violent crime has started to increase in recent years. | :03:43. | :03:49.
The evidence dates back a century that always find an association | :03:50. | :03:53.
between deprivation and violent behaviour, so it's quite possible | :03:54. | :03:59.
that in an increasingly unequal society, we will see more violence. | :04:00. | :04:06.
West Yorkshire Police say that although crime levels are rising, | :04:07. | :04:09.
the chance of being a victim of crime is still low and 500 more | :04:10. | :04:16.
police officers are now being recruited, but this comes after | :04:17. | :04:18.
years of budget cuts and officers being made redundant. | :04:19. | :04:20.
Meanwhile, a post mortem investigation into the man | :04:21. | :04:22.
who was shot dead by police near Huddersfield on Monday evening | :04:23. | :04:24.
has revealed that he died from gunshot wounds to the chest. | :04:25. | :04:27.
Yassar Yaqub was shot by a West Yorkshire Police officer | :04:28. | :04:29.
after two vehicles were stopped on a slip road near | :04:30. | :04:32.
But the Independent Police Complaints Commissioner says | :04:33. | :04:35.
it is carrying out a thorough and detailed investigation | :04:36. | :04:37.
and has called for more witnesses to come forward. | :04:38. | :04:39.
Our home affairs correspondent Spencer Stokes has the story. | :04:40. | :04:47.
Floral tributes and expressions of anger on the motorway slip road | :04:48. | :04:55.
where Yassar Yaqub was killed in a planned police operation on Monday | :04:56. | :05:03.
night. This is where a vigil was held yesterday evening as family and | :05:04. | :05:05.
friends struggled to come to terms with the death of Yassar Yaqub and | :05:06. | :05:15.
the reasons behind the shooting. All I can say, I've known him a very | :05:16. | :05:18.
long time, spent every single day with him and I know he's not a | :05:19. | :05:21.
person who would shoot at anybody. The dead man's family attended the | :05:22. | :05:23.
mosque at Crosland Moor this afternoon. Some people have spoken | :05:24. | :05:28.
of his criminal connections but his father said he had no convictions | :05:29. | :05:36.
and was a good man. He worked and got everything he ever wanted. | :05:37. | :05:43.
Perhaps that was too much for other people to take in. How are his | :05:44. | :05:51.
children? They are all so devastated. The police took his life | :05:52. | :05:56.
away and had shattered the lives of many. More details of what happened | :05:57. | :06:00.
at the junction of the 62 on Monday have emerged this evening as the | :06:01. | :06:06.
investigation continues. The Independent Police Complaints | :06:07. | :06:11.
Commission inspectors found that Mr Yacoub died of three gunshot wounds | :06:12. | :06:16.
to the chest. One police officer fired the shots after a white Audi | :06:17. | :06:21.
and white Volkswagen were stopped by unmarked cars. The IPCC also say | :06:22. | :06:30.
that non-police issued firearm was found in the vehicle. The statement | :06:31. | :06:36.
also confirms that police were not wearing video cameras and that no | :06:37. | :06:41.
relevant CCTV footage has been found. Don't read into this | :06:42. | :06:46.
something that isn't there to be found. This isn't America, it is in | :06:47. | :06:58.
Chicago and I get very irritated when a small minority want to make | :06:59. | :07:01.
it something that it isn't. What we need here is a period of calm | :07:02. | :07:03.
reflection. The investigation into Yassar Yaqub's death is continuing | :07:04. | :07:06.
at the IPCC said they will be thorough, looking into all of the | :07:07. | :07:10.
circumstances. Three men are still being questioned following the | :07:11. | :07:11.
arrests on Monday. So why has West Yorkshire become | :07:12. | :07:14.
the Crime Capital of England - and how are the police responding | :07:15. | :07:17.
to the community concerns following the M62 shooting | :07:18. | :07:20.
in which a man died? I put this to Assistant Chief | :07:21. | :07:22.
Constable Angela Williams I'm a resident of West Yorkshire and | :07:23. | :07:34.
I'm not worried. It is only over the last 12 months and matches to do | :07:35. | :07:38.
without crime recording. Whilst there is a slight increase in | :07:39. | :07:45.
victims of crime, it is only a very slight increase and not what is | :07:46. | :07:48.
being reported in this latest set of data. What then are the challenges | :07:49. | :07:54.
that West Yorkshire Police force face that other forces don't? We | :07:55. | :08:00.
have a number of challenges in various communities across the large | :08:01. | :08:04.
urban force but we also have to be mindful that we have lost ?140 | :08:05. | :08:07.
million from our budget over the last four years and we have 2000 | :08:08. | :08:10.
less officers and staff working for us. Clearly tensions are running | :08:11. | :08:17.
high after Yassar Yaqub was shot dead on the slip road. What can you | :08:18. | :08:21.
say to the community to give them confidence that West Yorkshire | :08:22. | :08:24.
Police are investigating this? I am not able to refer to the specific | :08:25. | :08:32.
incident, that is being independently investigated, but in | :08:33. | :08:37.
reference to the unrest, there has been a little unrest in Bradford and | :08:38. | :08:44.
an investigation is ongoing into that unrest. There were a couple of | :08:45. | :08:46.
incidents of damage to police vehicle. It looked fairly serious in | :08:47. | :08:51.
the pictures that we saw. It was an isolated incident for around an hour | :08:52. | :08:57.
in Bradford. It is being investigated and we have extra | :08:58. | :09:02.
forces in the area moving forward. Can you give people any answers? | :09:03. | :09:06.
That is what they want. They feel as if the police are not being | :09:07. | :09:15.
transparent about this. We are being very transparent. We are helping the | :09:16. | :09:17.
IPCC with their independent investigation. We are separately and | :09:18. | :09:19.
independently investigating a demonstration which took place in | :09:20. | :09:22.
Bradford we are doing all we can in the community to reassure the | :09:23. | :09:26.
community and and MPs as to our actions. | :09:27. | :09:28.
The wounded war hero who's preparing for an incredible challenge. | :09:29. | :09:33.
Ibi Ali is aiming to run seven marathons in seven days on seven | :09:34. | :09:36.
What could be better than a sunny day on the beach, even in winter? | :09:37. | :09:59.
But bracing itself for a battle royal on Monday and it is all | :10:00. | :10:02.
Set up over 100 years ago, it has been part | :10:03. | :10:06.
This group - Yeah Yeah Yeah - appeared here in 1963. | :10:07. | :10:10.
Indeed, most of the big names did at some point. | :10:11. | :10:12.
Scarborough Council bought the place in this year. | :10:13. | :10:16.
In 2010, it was redeveloped and with over 2000 seats | :10:17. | :10:19.
it is still the sixth largest theatre in the country. | :10:20. | :10:26.
But four years later it was closed and flamingo land now has a ?20 | :10:27. | :10:34.
million bid in for the site. Behind me here is a real row which is | :10:35. | :10:41.
coming to a climax in a decisive council meeting on Monday. It is all | :10:42. | :10:46.
to do with the picture of this theatre. Campaigners say it should | :10:47. | :10:51.
and could easily be saved. It looks blooming awful because the council | :10:52. | :10:54.
have deliberately, purposefully allowed it to look like this. There | :10:55. | :11:02.
is plenty of skill, knowledge, experience, will and money available | :11:03. | :11:08.
to the people to be generated, restore it. The council's plan is | :11:09. | :11:13.
simple. Demolish it at a formerly impound cast and then sell it to | :11:14. | :11:19.
flamingo land and see them invest ?20 million to give Scarborough a | :11:20. | :11:22.
massive tourist attraction. But this man says he can restore the building | :11:23. | :11:29.
quickly, and for nothing, saving ?4 million. I have had tradesmen from | :11:30. | :11:33.
all trades saying they can restore the | :11:34. | :11:58.
building, starting with the cladding. People under the age of 55 | :11:59. | :12:01.
that never seen behind that and it's fantastic. The seating's still good. | :12:02. | :12:03.
The chandeliers are still in there and it just needs restoring. He | :12:04. | :12:06.
needs doing because it is a beautiful building. One of those | :12:07. | :12:08.
built came down to date to look at the futurist. They were quick to | :12:09. | :12:11.
show support to Ken and his fellow campaigners. We will do work for | :12:12. | :12:21.
free and then everyone can decide whether it is structurally sound or | :12:22. | :12:23.
not. The council's response is that the campaigners and this plans do | :12:24. | :12:28.
not step up and their hopes of mega- productions are fanciful. The two | :12:29. | :12:32.
o'clock meeting on Monday could be an -- could be lightly. | :12:33. | :12:39.
A transgender prisoner, who was on remand for attempted | :12:40. | :12:42.
murder, has been found dead in a cell at Doncaster Prison. | :12:43. | :12:44.
49-year-old Jenny Swift - who was previously known as Jonathan | :12:45. | :12:47.
and was from Liverpool - was charged with attempting | :12:48. | :12:49.
to murder 26-year-old Eric Flanagan in Balby. | :12:50. | :12:50.
An independent investigation will now be carried out | :12:51. | :12:52.
by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman. | :12:53. | :12:57.
A transgender campaigner says Jenny shouldn't have been in a men's | :12:58. | :13:04.
prison. There is a reason we put women into women's prisons and men | :13:05. | :13:07.
into men's prisons. Women are at risk in a male prison, whether that | :13:08. | :13:14.
being cis gender women or transgender women, they are at risk. | :13:15. | :13:21.
One of the world's leading chemical companies is considering a planning | :13:22. | :13:24.
application to see if fracking for gas is possible at a site | :13:25. | :13:27.
Ineos has asked Derbyshire County Council if they would require | :13:28. | :13:30.
an environmental impact assesment as part of any application to test | :13:31. | :13:33.
drill a site near Eckington, north of Chesterfield. | :13:34. | :13:35.
Hydraulic fracturing is the process of injecting water and chemicals | :13:36. | :13:37.
into the ground at high pressure to release gas trapped | :13:38. | :13:39.
A West Yorkshire bridge which was severely damaged | :13:40. | :13:45.
by the boxing day floods in 2015 will reopen next week. | :13:46. | :13:47.
Calderdale Council says pedestrians and cyclists will be able to use | :13:48. | :13:50.
Elland Bridge by the end of next week. | :13:51. | :13:52.
It will re-open for cars later this month. | :13:53. | :13:55.
The repairs have cost around ?5 million. | :13:56. | :14:00.
Controversial plans to turn Sheffield Central Library | :14:01. | :14:03.
into a five-star hotel will be discussed at a public | :14:04. | :14:05.
Under the scheme, the library would move to another | :14:06. | :14:11.
site in the city centre, leaving its existing building to be | :14:12. | :14:14.
developed in partnership with a Chinese construction company. | :14:15. | :14:16.
More than 10,000 people have signed a petition against the move. | :14:17. | :14:22.
A man who illegally demolished his house near Skipton - | :14:23. | :14:25.
taking part of his neighbours' property with it - | :14:26. | :14:27.
Joan and Geoff Peel got home from holiday to find holes in a wall | :14:28. | :14:32.
David Eckersall had permission to make alterations to his | :14:33. | :14:37.
home but instead pulled it down completely. | :14:38. | :14:40.
Alasdair Gill was at Bradford Crown Court. | :14:41. | :14:49.
When Jeff and his wife went on holiday in May last year, their home | :14:50. | :14:57.
was as resistant to the elements as ever. When they came back, it | :14:58. | :15:03.
wasn't. Through the gaps, you can see the cars going past. Their new | :15:04. | :15:06.
neighbour had told them he was holding an extension. Instead, his | :15:07. | :15:12.
whole house, once attached to theirs, had gone. Today, he was | :15:13. | :15:18.
fined ?17,500 at Bradford Crown Court. The court heard that he had | :15:19. | :15:24.
building consent for an extension to the property but while work was | :15:25. | :15:32.
being carried out, it became structurally unsound and he decided | :15:33. | :15:34.
to demolish it. The judge called that a catastrophic decision. He | :15:35. | :15:38.
said it was a drastic decision without speaking to anyone at the | :15:39. | :15:45.
council or his neighbours. He hadn't set out to demolish his home, his | :15:46. | :15:49.
lawyer said, it had simply related to a lack of care. But that will be | :15:50. | :15:56.
little comfort to the couple who now require listed building consent to | :15:57. | :16:06.
prepare their property, who face costs of ?10,000 to prepare it. He | :16:07. | :16:15.
may have avoided jail, but he faces a hefty fine and mortgage payments | :16:16. | :16:18.
on a building that is no longer there and he is not allowed to | :16:19. | :16:19.
rebuild. Now when it comes to achieving a big | :16:20. | :16:20.
challenge, you'd bet on our next Ibi Ali, from Selby, | :16:21. | :16:23.
is an ex army captain from the Yorkshire Regiment | :16:24. | :16:26.
who is running seven marathons Ibi was injured by a roadside bomb | :16:27. | :16:28.
whilst he was serving in Iraq. His lost his right | :16:29. | :16:33.
arm but was awarded He's raising money for a new armed | :16:34. | :16:35.
forces rehabilitation A lot of people are making New Year | :16:36. | :16:47.
's resolutions, aren't they? This one beats the lot. Sadly so. In | :16:48. | :16:54.
order to raise the money and finish building the rehabilitation centre I | :16:55. | :16:59.
am doing this. I went through rehabilitation. I was extremely | :17:00. | :17:02.
lucky because I was unable to continue with my career. I was | :17:03. | :17:09.
injured in 2007 and back out in a rock in 2008. My military family | :17:10. | :17:17.
gave me all the support I needed to continue serving. That's an | :17:18. | :17:18.
incredibly quick recovery, because you had your arm amputated and were | :17:19. | :17:23.
back on the front line? That's the nature of military rehabilitation. | :17:24. | :17:26.
Headley Court, which everyone knows about now. We all have an emotional | :17:27. | :17:36.
attachment to that. But the new site in Nottingham will be world class | :17:37. | :17:39.
and it will take us across the next 70 years. You are not exactly a | :17:40. | :17:46.
stranger to big expeditions, are you? Tell us about some of the ones | :17:47. | :17:49.
in the past. I've been incredibly fortunate, having been in the | :17:50. | :17:51.
military on several operational tours, then beyond that I have been | :17:52. | :17:54.
able to help out with other things. I've been to the South Pole with | :17:55. | :18:00.
walking with that we did. I've also done seven marathons in the Sahara. | :18:01. | :18:06.
But you are no stranger to challenges, Harry? I pale into | :18:07. | :18:11.
insignificance next to you. What is the biggest part you are appearing | :18:12. | :18:19.
of -- you are fearing of seven marathons in seven days. I think it | :18:20. | :18:28.
is the same in all of us. I say to my daughter, don't worry about | :18:29. | :18:31.
failure. And yet I myself worry about that. I think, physically, and | :18:32. | :18:41.
it sounds strange, to run the marathons will be relatively easy | :18:42. | :18:49.
compared to the traffic. Is it the logistics? We are lucky that this is | :18:50. | :18:57.
an organised event. There are 30, 35 other lunatics also doing the event, | :18:58. | :19:02.
ultra runners through to the noble runners like myself. I've done a | :19:03. | :19:06.
little bit of running but only since injury. I needed to continue to stay | :19:07. | :19:17.
fit, stay on top of things. Just to get yourself mentally prepared to do | :19:18. | :19:20.
another one after you've just done one so quickly. That to me sounds | :19:21. | :19:23.
like the hardest part. For me, this is going to be challenging but there | :19:24. | :19:29.
are other servicemen and women going through far bigger challenges | :19:30. | :19:31.
whether physically or mentally and that's where this rehabilitation | :19:32. | :19:34.
centre will help them much more than it ever helped me as well. We wish | :19:35. | :19:40.
you all be very, very best. We certainly do. Please tell us | :19:41. | :19:42.
about it when you're finished. Those of you of a certain | :19:43. | :19:45.
vintage may remember the Sheffield Divers Jane Smith | :19:46. | :19:48.
and Tony Ally. Both won medals at the 2002 | :19:49. | :19:49.
Commonwealth Games, amongst other gongs, | :19:50. | :19:51.
and now they're back at Ponds Forge, but in slightly different roles | :19:52. | :19:54.
as Tanya's been finding out. Once a diver, always a diver. It's | :19:55. | :20:17.
in the family. It's always been a family affair. Tony and I used to | :20:18. | :20:23.
train together loads. Now, we are on the next generation, as Jane's girls | :20:24. | :20:29.
have taken up diving, as has Tony's daughter, Grace. I said I would try | :20:30. | :20:38.
Gymnastics and once I got through that, I followed in my dad's that | :20:39. | :20:41.
steps and went to diving. What is it like for you watching her? I'm very | :20:42. | :20:47.
proud dad at the moment. With my background and experience in the | :20:48. | :20:52.
sport, it is very, very, how can I say, it gets me sometimes. I like | :20:53. | :21:01.
that you get to jump up and down on the boards. What do you like about | :21:02. | :21:12.
it? Doing somersaults and stuff. Do you think either of you are going to | :21:13. | :21:19.
be as good as your mum? Don't know. Everywhere you look, there are | :21:20. | :21:22.
families. These brothers and this brother and sister. Watching her | :21:23. | :21:31.
girls, can Jane pull back the years? That is a good dive. Jane Smith has | :21:32. | :21:38.
another medal. After 12 years out of the water, people say to me, can you | :21:39. | :21:45.
still died? I say, no, I am too old for it. But I am up for a challenge | :21:46. | :21:51.
so I thought, let's put myself back into it and see. She is now hoping | :21:52. | :22:00.
to perform at the world Masters later in the year. Tony is back at | :22:01. | :22:05.
the poll watching his daughter but mighty Barlow Jane's lead and go | :22:06. | :22:09.
back to diving? I'm a little bit bigger than I was when I was diving. | :22:10. | :22:14.
I don't know if the board will take by weight now. Doubtful. Thank you | :22:15. | :22:26.
very much. Some news just in and a dirty road Dewsbury man will appear | :22:27. | :22:30.
in court tomorrow in relation to a firearms offence that was committed | :22:31. | :22:39.
on Monday. He was charged in relation to a semiautomatic weapon | :22:40. | :22:44.
and will be charged with possession of a firearm. Two other men have | :22:45. | :22:46.
been released on bail. Now, you may have thought | :22:47. | :22:51.
about giving up alcohol or cakes for January - | :22:52. | :22:53.
in order to get back in shape. But have you ever considered doing | :22:54. | :22:56.
without meat and dairy products Vegan-uary is catching | :22:57. | :22:58.
on as an idea, and thousands of people are signing up | :22:59. | :23:02.
for it online. The demand has meant that a cook | :23:03. | :23:03.
from Sheffield is getting millions of people to watch | :23:04. | :23:06.
all his vegan recipes. James Vincent has BEAN | :23:07. | :23:08.
finding out more. Oh, tea-time. What have you got? | :23:09. | :23:24.
Pie, sausages, a bit of this? Forget all about if you were starting the | :23:25. | :23:32.
New Year as a vegan, for veganuary. It's a thing, apparently. Ian has | :23:33. | :23:42.
been an vegan for two years. What have we got here? It looks good. It | :23:43. | :23:48.
is basically almost going to be a guacamole macaroni. So, you started | :23:49. | :23:57.
it in January as a health thing? And that's what people are doing this | :23:58. | :24:03.
January. Everyone I know who has done veganuary has come out thinking | :24:04. | :24:07.
it is great. We started doing "The videos at the end of June of last | :24:08. | :24:12.
year and since then we have had about 650,000 people on the page. | :24:13. | :24:22.
You don't want to be preaching to people because they don't respond to | :24:23. | :24:24.
it well. If people have got questions, I will definitely give | :24:25. | :24:27.
them answers, but when it comes down to it, I will not try to force it | :24:28. | :24:30.
down people's throats. As a "You can't eat meat, fish, cheese, eggs | :24:31. | :24:39.
or wear leather. Who would want to be vegan for a month? Definitely | :24:40. | :24:45.
not. I like my meat. I would miss most meals. We are designed to eat | :24:46. | :24:51.
meat, aren't we? There's no way I could ever change. I like eggs and | :24:52. | :24:56.
things like that. I couldn't just live on vegetables. Are any of the | :24:57. | :25:07.
lads here a vegan? You can't eat eggs and cheese either if you are a | :25:08. | :25:12.
beacon. I don't know what they eat! Well, stuff like this. Let's have a | :25:13. | :25:22.
go on this, then. Oh, yes. Stop talking with your mouth full. I am a | :25:23. | :25:29.
sucker for an avocado. So, what do you think. No leather. | :25:30. | :25:34.
That wallet would never come out, would it? That have a look at a | :25:35. | :25:40.
couple of the pictures that have come in over the last couple of | :25:41. | :25:45.
hours. That was sunrise this morning and this one, beautiful conditions | :25:46. | :25:52.
there. Keep the pictures coming in. All change actually over the next 24 | :25:53. | :26:10.
hours. It will be cloudy tomorrow with rain spreading from the west | :26:11. | :26:13.
later on after a frosty night. The Prost courtesy of this area of high | :26:14. | :26:15.
pressure but the Atlantic runs three. The weekend not looking too | :26:16. | :26:18.
bad. A run of gentle westerly breezes bringing a lot of ploughed | :26:19. | :26:21.
through and perhaps some drizzle over the Pennines. Some sunshine | :26:22. | :26:25.
further east, especially on Sunday afternoon. There is the cloud lining | :26:26. | :26:33.
up in the Atlantic but right now we have temperatures down to -3 already | :26:34. | :26:38.
over parts of the Yorkshire Dales. Temperatures of -1 in the Vale of | :26:39. | :26:44.
York later tonight. We will see cloud coming in to Western and | :26:45. | :26:48.
northern areas. Watch out on the roads. The breeze will be picking up | :26:49. | :26:55.
towards dawn. The sun rises in the morning at 8:23am. The next high | :26:56. | :27:03.
water time will be at 20 past eight this evening. It is fairly cloudy | :27:04. | :27:10.
start, just about dry until the end of the morning when patchy rain will | :27:11. | :27:13.
stay up and the afternoon looks pretty dismal. Outbreaks of brain | :27:14. | :27:17.
and a freshening south-westerly wind, feeling fairly cold. Top | :27:18. | :27:25.
temperatures struggling up to five or 6 degrees. Six Celsius is 43 | :27:26. | :27:29.
Fahrenheit. Looking further ahead, the weather not looking too bad at | :27:30. | :27:35.
the weekend. Temperatures above average and that is the forecast. | :27:36. | :27:39.
Right, so we need a nice vegan meal to warm us all up. | :27:40. | :27:46.
We certainly do. I will be back for the late broadcast. Good night. | :27:47. | :27:47. |
