A Sheffield bed manufacturer is under investigation

following the death of a seven month old baby.

Playtime Beds has issued a safety warning on its website stating

that its made-to-measure beds could lead to risk of strangulation

Children's cots, some bunk beds, high sleeper beds and triple beds

North Yorkshire Police has confirmed it is investigating after the death

And anyone concerned should get in touch with them

Police have launched a murder investigation

after a woman was found dead at a house in Bradford.

Officers were called to the address in Bankholme Court

in the Holmewood area of the city at around 4.20pm yesterday.

The woman who's believed to be in her 30s was

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Voters in places like Bradford, Kirklees and Calderdale will have

But a new project is asking us to think about how

Rather than hand cash to those on the street -

Help Us Help in Sheffield - wants us to give it

to established charities. James Vincent reports.

Dave Crook has been volunteering at the Archer Project in Sheffield

for the best part of 20 years, and the charity knows,

without him and his fried eggs, they would be stuck.

This place and many places like it could not run without volunteers.

We have got volunteers who have been here 18 years,

Meals are given out every day, and it will be even more

important over Christmas. Chris has spent time on the streets.

He says this time of year is particularly bad.

It is absolutely terrible, because you need to get

about three sleeping bags, and then you have the thought

of your family, what you have lost, especially around Christmas,

thinking, I could be in my house with my family.

Chris now volunteers at the Archer Project,

and it is one of the organisations involved in a new project

One of the things they are doing is trying to make people think

about whether they should give money to people on the street or give it

We don't want to tell people what to do with their money.

We like the fact that people are generous,

but we want people to help people, and giving money often keeps

people where they are, and doesn't help them move on.

I think that is a very good idea, because if they are giving money

to people on the streets, not all of them, but a good

majority of people, it is going on drink or drugs

anyway, so I think it is a brilliant idea.

Giving it to the charities, you know the money is getting spent

properly then and they are getting the proper help the people need.

Back in the kitchen, the breakfast rush has finished,

but that just means the volunteers have to start on making dinner.
