Hello, and good evening from Look North.

Stars of the BBC comedy show 'Allo Allo' joined friends

and family in Huddersfield today to say a final farewell to the much

loved actor Gorden Kaye, who died last month.

His funeral was held at Huddersfield Parish Church.

The role made him a household name despite years in other shows

like Coronation Street, and It Ain't Half Hot, Mum.

On Allo Allo, he was the star of the show.

Gordon Kaye's last journey took him to Huddersfield Parish Church,

passers-by stood in silence as the coffin was carried

inside for the 40-minute service attended by family,

This was his roots and he always spoke fondly of it.

I think he rather enjoyed hiding behind the character.

The service today was a celebration of his life and career.

He wanted his funeral here, a Huddersfield boy who worked around

the world after starting out on local hospital radio.

He would be an actor many others admired.

As famous faces left the funeral, a crowd gathered outside

He has gone but will not be forgotten by the millions of fans

around the world who he made laugh out loud.

Muslims in Rotherham say they're being extra vigilant after a hate

after the letter was sent to the Jamiah Mosque in Masborough.

The North East Counter Terrorism Unit says it's looking

at whether the letter is linked to a number of suspicious packages

reported at locations in South Yorkshire last year.

There's concern about increasing reports of Islamaphobia.

to have seen what is material content and please try to produce it

A man's been charged - in connection with a dog attack

in Huddersfield last year - that killed his neighbour.

David Ellam, who was 52, was out walking with his Yorkshire

terrier in August - when he was bitten by another dog.

The Bradford based supermarket Morrisons has announced it's

planning to stock more home grown food on its shelves.

The company says it intends to recruit two hundred

new producers this year - a move which, it says,

will not only help deal with global uncertainties,

It's interesting it has taken a shake-up of global markets

to make us really think about where our food comes from.

It isn't many years ago it was 80% self-sufficiency,

there is no reason why they cannot go back to that.

We cannot be self-sufficient in the exotic things and specialist
