Well, one family in Ormskirk have rounded up 300 of them in return

You get that awful feeling in the pit of your stomach,

That's our inspiration, really, to try and help and give

So how do you thank the people who saved your child's life?

Well, raising lots of money for them is always a great start.

Over the last two years, the family has raised almost ?10,000

by collecting old Christmas trees, like these, in return

And this year, they've collected over 300 trees.

We are collecting trees to make lots of money for Alder Hey.

They hope to raise enough money to pay for a projector

to distract young patients before general anaesthetic.

It's a great opportunity for people in the local area

And this is where they're brought, to Forby Beach, where they're used

by the National Trust to prop up the sand dunes.

The family say they'll never be able to thank hospital staff enough,

but thanks to Alder Hey, the Force is strong with this one.
