Tributes have been paid to ` Kent man who died

when his motorbike crashed during an event on the Isle of Man on Friday.

Tim Moorhead from Whitstabld was killed during the qualifying

It's the second death at the event in four days.

He died doing a sport he loved. Today's Tim Moorhead's family paid

tribute. Tim... I was going to say was but he is very much lovdd

husband, father, stepfather, step grandad. He has been loving racing

for quite some time now and we both knew that there was this risk that

something like this might h`ppen and we both lived with it. It w`s the

third time he had entered the grand prix on the Isle of Man. Another

rider was killed on Tuesday. Organisers say investigations into

both deaths are under way. @way from the world of biking, Tim Moorhead

was a lecturer in law at thd University of Kent in Canterbury and

had just had his first book published. I feel he has bedn a

great example to my children and two other people that he has known, and

I'm just very grateful for the time I have had with him, we werd married

approximately 20 years. Racd organisers offered their dedpest

sympathies to Tim's family. Fire fighters were called to

a fire at a fish and chip shop The blaze broke out just

before midday in the basement As many as four fire crews

tackled the flames. Police investigating an ass`ult

on a woman in Ashford have released The incident happened at

around 11.30 on Wednesday evening as A man grabbed her from behind

in Eastbourne say the Bank Holiday has so far been a success, despite

not being able to access thd pier. Part of the pier burnt down in July,

but the local council has installed "pop`up shops" for those who used to

have businesses on the pier. Today traders say the support

from locals Trade has been steady. We are not

making as much as we would have done on the pier but the council are

doing an excellent job. Lots of people have heard of us, thdy want

to come down and see how we are doing. There is a great comlunity

spirit. Space wise we are bht more condensed but we have done the best

we can and we are up and running. A special event on Brighton's
