Welcome to South East Today, I'm Natalie Graham. | :00:08. | :00:09.
A loving mother, adored by her husband - | :00:10. | :00:13.
tributes to Debbie Masters, who died after being | :00:14. | :00:14.
I was talking to some other people who actually | :00:15. | :00:22.
know them that live down there and | :00:23. | :00:24.
they were in tears this morning and everybody is going down | :00:25. | :00:27.
40 junior doctors are set to be removed from a Kent hospital | :00:28. | :00:34.
amid concerns that patient safety is being compromised. | :00:35. | :00:37.
We'll be live in Canterbury with the details. | :00:38. | :00:39.
The council leader accused of doing a sweetheart deal | :00:40. | :00:42.
with the Government survives a vote of no confidence. | :00:43. | :00:45.
The first state visit to a state school - | :00:46. | :00:48.
how a secondary in Sussex made history with a delegation | :00:49. | :00:50.
And there were spitfires over the White Cliffs of Dover - | :00:51. | :01:04.
a special fly-past to mark Dame Vera Lynn's centenary. | :01:05. | :01:16.
The mother of three boys who died after being hit by a car | :01:17. | :01:20.
on Battle High Street has been named as Debbie Masters. | :01:21. | :01:25.
Her family said this evening she was "a loving wife and mother, | :01:26. | :01:28.
who was adored by her husband, and will be missed forever." | :01:29. | :01:31.
A special fundraising campaign has been set up to help | :01:32. | :01:33.
Sussex Police are investigating reports that the 34-year-old woman | :01:34. | :01:37.
driving the car may have been under the influence of alcohol | :01:38. | :01:42.
Debbie Masters of battle this right by her family as a loving wife and | :01:43. | :01:55.
mother. She was well known and loved in this small Sussex town which now | :01:56. | :01:59.
was to reach out and help the family she has left behind. | :02:00. | :02:04.
I think it is horrible, knowing that three kids have lost their mum and | :02:05. | :02:09.
let's hope their dad fights wrote all. They need their dad mainly now. | :02:10. | :02:17.
They live a few doors down from us. Her husband, her three children, I | :02:18. | :02:21.
saw them all the time. The shopkeeper says she used to bump | :02:22. | :02:22.
into the family most days. I was talking to some | :02:23. | :02:25.
other people who actually know them that live down | :02:26. | :02:29.
there and they were in tears this morning | :02:30. | :02:31.
and everybody is going down Debbie Masters died after her car | :02:32. | :02:39.
collided with her and her family on Sunday. Her two children were | :02:40. | :02:44.
treated for minor injuries, husband was seriously hurt. -- three | :02:45. | :02:48.
children. They are a better getting reports that the driver may have | :02:49. | :02:54.
been under the influence of alcohol. The primary school will be | :02:55. | :02:56.
supporting pupils in a special assembly tomorrow. While the | :02:57. | :03:04.
children are here, they are children and we feel that connection very | :03:05. | :03:08.
strongly and it is certainly fair to say it is had a big impact on the | :03:09. | :03:12.
staff here who are really coming to terms with such a shock. A special | :03:13. | :03:17.
service of prayer will be held at Saint Mary's church on Sunday and | :03:18. | :03:20.
Nicky Moody support fund is being set up so people can help the | :03:21. | :03:26.
family. -- a community. So they can express in a practical way back and | :03:27. | :03:31.
concern and give something to the family to bring support and their | :03:32. | :03:36.
needs over the weeks and months ahead. -- care. Mrs Masters family | :03:37. | :03:42.
say she was adored by her family and will be missed forever. | :03:43. | :03:43.
Jon, what's the latest on the police investigation? | :03:44. | :03:53.
Earlier today, Sussex Police say the 34-year-old driver of the black | :03:54. | :04:01.
beetle that crashed into the cafe head was still in hospital and they | :04:02. | :04:05.
are awaiting the results of blood analysis. They are appealing for any | :04:06. | :04:09.
witnesses who have any information to come forward. Meanwhile, a | :04:10. | :04:14.
petition has been started here in Battle, some businesses and | :04:15. | :04:17.
residents have big concern, they say, about the speed that some | :04:18. | :04:20.
traffic comes through her and also the state of parking along the | :04:21. | :04:25.
narrow high Street. They say they have been warning for some time that | :04:26. | :04:29.
it was only a matter of time before a serious crash occurred. | :04:30. | :04:30.
Thank you. In a controversial move, | :04:31. | :04:31.
more than 40 junior doctors are being withdrawn from a kent | :04:32. | :04:34.
hospital, amid concerns that patient Health Education England has | :04:35. | :04:36.
requested the removal of more than half of the Kent | :04:37. | :04:41.
and Canterbury's trainee doctors, because of a shortage of permanent | :04:42. | :04:44.
consultants who oversee training. The trust has written | :04:45. | :04:50.
to all its inpatients, to reassure them that there will be | :04:51. | :04:52.
no immediate changes to their care. But campaigners are deeply | :04:53. | :04:56.
concerned that it will mean an end to emergency care - | :04:57. | :04:58.
and will lead to the ultimate Our health correspondent | :04:59. | :05:01.
Mark Norman reports. In the next 12 weeks, | :05:02. | :05:05.
more than half of all the junior doctors in | :05:06. | :05:08.
this hospital in Canterbury | :05:09. | :05:09.
will be removed. Removed by Health Education | :05:10. | :05:12.
in England who say that doctors aren't being trained | :05:13. | :05:14.
properly and are not So, it is a difficult issue | :05:15. | :05:16.
for us to deal with. Of course it is, making changes | :05:17. | :05:22.
to hospital services What is really important | :05:23. | :05:24.
is that we run safe services today, we need to make changes in how we do | :05:25. | :05:30.
it going forward to ensure that we continue | :05:31. | :05:36.
to provide good care to our patients Health Education England | :05:37. | :05:39.
are responsible for overseeing all They told us today that | :05:40. | :05:43.
in Canterbury, there aren't enough consultants | :05:44. | :05:48.
to supervise the role. That 42 out of 76 trainees | :05:49. | :05:50.
at the hospital will be removed and that it will affect | :05:51. | :05:56.
about 50 patients a day But how does a hospital run with 55% | :05:57. | :06:04.
fewer junior doctors? Some inpatient services, | :06:05. | :06:08.
such as heart, move to either Margate or Ashford | :06:09. | :06:10.
but the trust insists patients will It will mean that some services, | :06:11. | :06:14.
a very small percentage of services do move to one | :06:15. | :06:23.
of the other sites. at some point in the future | :06:24. | :06:28.
to continue that excellence but most importantly the education | :06:29. | :06:32.
of those junior doctors. However, for more than a decade, | :06:33. | :06:34.
campaigners locally have fought to keep services | :06:35. | :06:36.
at the Kent and Canterbury and some fear that the trust are planning | :06:37. | :06:39.
to downgrade or possibly even close | :06:40. | :06:41.
the hospital and they are What are we going to have left | :06:42. | :06:43.
there is nothing and we are not going to have | :06:44. | :06:47.
a hospital in Canterbury, This might be pre-consultation, | :06:48. | :06:49.
this might be temporary but if they manage to bring them | :06:50. | :06:53.
back, and they don't know how they are going | :06:54. | :06:55.
to employ consultants when they have | :06:56. | :06:56.
got a hospital with nothing there, So I think the long-term | :06:57. | :06:59.
thing of east Kent hospitals at the moment | :07:00. | :07:03.
all the Kent and Canterbury is nil. And campaigners tell | :07:04. | :07:06.
me they're planning another march through Canterbury | :07:07. | :07:08.
to argue their case. Health Education England say | :07:09. | :07:10.
the temporary changes to services Well, let's cross | :07:11. | :07:13.
live to Mark Norman. After today's announcement, | :07:14. | :07:17.
how reassured will patients The trust has spent all day | :07:18. | :07:25.
insisting that patients will receive the best possible care and that care | :07:26. | :07:29.
will be safe. I have spoken to the Royal College of nurses, they have | :07:30. | :07:32.
some concerns because nurses will have to remove along with the junior | :07:33. | :07:36.
doctors. They are not sure of the details. There was a meeting here at | :07:37. | :07:40.
the hospital this morning, I am told that some people quite upset that | :07:41. | :07:43.
the changes but there with the determination to see this through. | :07:44. | :07:46.
Campaigners have said to me this evening they had one big question, | :07:47. | :07:51.
why are there not enough consultants at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital? | :07:52. | :07:55.
They say no one is being called to account that they want answers to of | :07:56. | :07:58.
those questions. Thank you. | :07:59. | :07:59.
?10 million and rising - Southern Rail passengers start | :08:00. | :08:02.
to benefit from a new compensation scheme for disruption. | :08:03. | :08:09.
An attempt to oust the leader of Surrey County Council over | :08:10. | :08:13.
an alleged "sweetheart" funding deal with the government has failed. | :08:14. | :08:16.
A motion of no confidence in David Hodge was called | :08:17. | :08:22.
after he backtracked on a proposal to raise council tax by 15%. | :08:23. | :08:31.
This programme exclusively revealed a secret recording of the council | :08:32. | :08:33.
leader telling colleagues he'd obtained a "gentleman's agreement" | :08:34. | :08:35.
Shortly afterwards the authority set the tax rise at 4.99% rise instead, | :08:36. | :08:39.
Our political editor Helen Catt reports. | :08:40. | :08:43.
It was the backroom row that became embarrassingly public for the | :08:44. | :08:46.
Could the Prime Minister explain the difference | :08:47. | :08:52.
between a sweetheart deal and a gentleman's agreement? | :08:53. | :08:56.
In the substance of what he's asking is, | :08:57. | :09:00.
has there been a particular deal with Surrey County Council that is | :09:01. | :09:03.
Today, the man who caused his leader to squirm | :09:04. | :09:11.
The Chancellor has just announced billions of extra | :09:12. | :09:16.
funding for social care, only weeks after the local | :09:17. | :09:28.
government financial settlement was made final. | :09:29. | :09:29.
Would that have been achieved if we hadn't had | :09:30. | :09:35.
set out such a strong case for investment or if we hadn't made | :09:36. | :09:38.
sure social care stayed in the headlines? | :09:39. | :09:41.
In Surrey, he faced down a vote of no-confidence in his leadership. | :09:42. | :09:46.
Liberal Democrat opponents pointed to miss sent text messages which | :09:47. | :09:50.
sparked rumours of a sweetheart deal and to a secret recording leaked to | :09:51. | :09:53.
I think it has been very damaging to Surrey's | :09:54. | :10:13.
reputation, there have been numerous damaging headlines about Surrey | :10:14. | :10:17.
County Council in the media and I think talk of secret deals and | :10:18. | :10:25.
gentleman's agreements, that doesn't put Surrey in a good light. | :10:26. | :10:30.
In the end, his fellow councillors backed | :10:31. | :10:32.
His future, it seems, secured, though he didn't | :10:33. | :10:39.
want to speak to us this evening after the meeting. | :10:40. | :10:41.
This was Surrey's last full meeting before elections | :10:42. | :10:43.
As several councillors observed this morning, that is when | :10:44. | :10:50.
we will get the final verdict on this episode from the voters. | :10:51. | :10:53.
Helen Catt, BBC South East Today, Kingston. | :10:54. | :10:56.
There's more in-depth coverage and analysis of today's meeting | :10:57. | :10:59.
The RNLI is to provide lifeguards on Hastings beaches | :11:00. | :11:09.
Following an agreement with Hastings Borough Council, | :11:10. | :11:14.
the charity will introduce three lifeguard stations at Pelham beach | :11:15. | :11:17.
Lifeguards have previously operated on beaches in the area, | :11:18. | :11:23.
but the service was run by the local council and supported | :11:24. | :11:26.
The RMT Union has announced it will push back it's latest strike | :11:27. | :11:31.
action to allow for fresh talks with Southern Rail in the ongoing | :11:32. | :11:34.
dispute over the safety of driver-only operated trains. | :11:35. | :11:38.
RMT members were due to go on strike for 24 hours on the 4th of April | :11:39. | :11:48.
but will now strike instead on Saturday 8th April - | :11:49. | :11:51.
An RMT spokesman said the issue of safety is "fundamental" | :11:52. | :11:55.
and must be "addressed at the negotiating table". | :11:56. | :11:57.
Twins, whose bodies were found at the White Cliffs of Dover | :11:58. | :11:59.
on New Year's Day, had rucksacks containing the ashes | :12:00. | :12:01.
of their dead parents, an inquest has heard. | :12:02. | :12:03.
A coroner said Muriel and Bernard Burgess, | :12:04. | :12:06.
who were 59 years old, had been struggling to come to terms | :12:07. | :12:08.
with their parents' deaths, particularly their mother's in 2014. | :12:09. | :12:13.
The siblings fell more than 200ft in an area known | :12:14. | :12:16.
An innocent man who panicked or a lying manipulative killer. | :12:17. | :12:24.
The question jurors have been told they now have to answer in the trial | :12:25. | :12:28.
of a man accused of murdering Sussex teenager Shana Grice. | :12:29. | :12:31.
The 19-year-old's throat was cut at her home | :12:32. | :12:33.
Her former boyfriend Michael Lane is accused of stalking, then killing | :12:34. | :12:38.
Today the jury has been hearing closing speeches from both | :12:39. | :12:43.
the prosecution and defence - as Sara Smith reports. | :12:44. | :12:48.
Michael Lane doesn't deny being at Shana Grice's flat on the morning | :12:49. | :12:52.
she was murdered but he says she was already dead when he arrived. | :12:53. | :12:56.
He admits lying to police on his arrest | :12:57. | :12:58.
but his defence counsel told the jury today | :12:59. | :13:01.
that was because he was panicked and terrified by the | :13:02. | :13:05.
conclusion that police would and did jump to. | :13:06. | :13:07.
There was, said his counsel, no direct evidence of his | :13:08. | :13:10.
involvement, it was all circumstantial. | :13:11. | :13:12.
But the prosecution asked the jury to decide if this | :13:13. | :13:22.
really was an innocent man who was panicked or a lying, | :13:23. | :13:25.
He told a friend Shana would pay for leaving him. | :13:26. | :13:28.
She did, it was said, with her life at his hands. | :13:29. | :13:31.
She was found dead, her throat cut at the flat she had shared with | :13:32. | :13:35.
Michael Lane had stolen a key to her home and put | :13:36. | :13:38.
Several times she had reported him to police for | :13:39. | :13:43.
stalking but on one occasion had been given a penalty notice herself | :13:44. | :13:46.
The judge told the jury this case had given | :13:47. | :13:51.
rise to a great deal of emotion and that they would need cool heads. | :13:52. | :13:55.
They weren't there, he said, to like or dislike | :13:56. | :13:57.
Michael Lane or take a personal view | :13:58. | :13:59.
about Shana Grice's behaviour, but to take an objective | :14:00. | :14:04.
Sara Smith, BBC South East Today, Lewes Crown Court. | :14:05. | :14:18.
It's coming up to quarter to seven, this is our top story tonight: | :14:19. | :14:21.
Debbie Masters was "a loving wife and mother, who was | :14:22. | :14:24.
adored by her husband, and will be missed forever." | :14:25. | :14:26.
Tributes paid to the 37-year-old who died after being hit by a car | :14:27. | :14:29.
Police are investigating why the car mounted the pavement. | :14:30. | :14:32.
A day later than planned there were blue skies and Spitfires | :14:33. | :14:36.
over the white cliffs of Dover for Dame Vera Lynn's centenary. | :14:37. | :14:43.
It was a bright, breezy and chilly day today. Bring back again for | :14:44. | :14:48.
tomorrow. I will have the details for you in the forecast a little | :14:49. | :14:50.
later in the programme. If you have a story you think | :14:51. | :14:52.
we should be covering on South East Today, | :14:53. | :14:54.
we'd like to hear from you. You can call us on 0345 300 37 47, | :14:55. | :14:57.
or send us an e-mail to We are also on Facebook or you can | :14:58. | :15:00.
tweet us, @bbcsoutheast. Thousands of Southern Rail season | :15:01. | :15:13.
ticket holders have been paid a total of more than ?10 million | :15:14. | :15:16.
in compensation over the past three months | :15:17. | :15:19.
for delays to their services. The Government blames | :15:20. | :15:23.
the disruption on poor performance by the operator - | :15:24. | :15:24.
and industrial action More than 40,000 | :15:25. | :15:27.
passengers have applied for refunds as part | :15:28. | :15:31.
of the new one-off But tonight many commuters said it's | :15:32. | :15:33.
all too little too late. I have had the letters | :15:34. | :15:41.
saying that I am due a compensation amount | :15:42. | :15:44.
on my annual season ticket and I followed | :15:45. | :15:49.
the instructions but nothing has It's not easy, that | :15:50. | :15:52.
is why I never claim. Because I think the process | :15:53. | :15:55.
takes longer and I would rather have an | :15:56. | :15:57.
operator that runs the trains as they should be run, | :15:58. | :16:02.
you know, it's very frustrating Well our reporter Amanda Akass | :16:03. | :16:05.
is outside Lewes station for us now. Amanda, the government | :16:06. | :16:11.
could still end up paying out a lot Yes, that is right. This is a | :16:12. | :16:27.
one-off government funded scheme designed to payback commuters a cost | :16:28. | :16:34.
of two among's worth of travel, in recognition of what is described as | :16:35. | :16:39.
unprecedented disruption on the services. Destruction that led to | :16:40. | :16:44.
the cancellation of up to 60,000 services due to a combination of | :16:45. | :16:48.
poor performance by Southern, problems on the track and that | :16:49. | :16:52.
industrial action. The government estimated 84,000 commuters could be | :16:53. | :16:57.
eligible for this was not so far, 40,000 have claimed. They had paid | :16:58. | :17:01.
back ?10 million at the moment. That could grow a lot further and people | :17:02. | :17:05.
have until the end of April to put those claims in. That is all about | :17:06. | :17:11.
the disruption from 2016 but as the 2017, the transport select committee | :17:12. | :17:14.
have been asking the wrong minister if there is any chance the scheme | :17:15. | :17:17.
will be extended for this year as well. -- rail minister. | :17:18. | :17:21.
At the moment, given the absence of industrial action which is making | :17:22. | :17:24.
it impossible to run an adequate service, I'm not aware of any | :17:25. | :17:26.
proposals to continue this beyond the 30th of April | :17:27. | :17:29.
but obviously we can't see into the future. | :17:30. | :17:35.
It really is the future of disruption which is the question in | :17:36. | :17:40.
the minds of all the commuters here this evening. The are empty and | :17:41. | :17:44.
Southern holding fresh talks but we do know they are still planning to | :17:45. | :17:48.

yet if there is an end to all that destruction we are seeing. Amanda, | :17:54. | :17:56.
thank you very much. -- disruption. St Catherine's College in Eastbourne | :17:57. | :18:04.
has become the first state school in East Sussex to teach its pupils | :18:05. | :18:07.
Mandarin - and today they enjoyed a special visit from Chinese | :18:08. | :18:10.
officials to inspire the students. Mandarin is the official | :18:11. | :18:12.
language of China - spoken by around a billion people, | :18:13. | :18:14.
making it the most although most people | :18:15. | :18:17.
only use 3,000-4,000. That compares with 26 characters | :18:18. | :18:26.
in the English alphabet. And researchers have | :18:27. | :18:29.
found that people who speak Mandarin use both sides | :18:30. | :18:31.
of their brain to understand it. So as Lauren Moss reports - | :18:32. | :18:34.
it should equip the Eastbourne pupils with some useful skills | :18:35. | :18:36.
for the future. Learning about Chinese culture and | :18:37. | :18:50.
traditions. The new School programme being rolled out at St Catherine's | :18:51. | :18:57.
College. Annie is one of those leading the programme. Our children | :18:58. | :19:02.
might not go to China but the Chinese are definitely coming in | :19:03. | :19:04.
here, there is a massive tourist industry. I think there will be | :19:05. | :19:08.
properly more and more industries that liaise with China so it is a | :19:09. | :19:16.
massively brilliant opportunity. By becoming a completion of cotton, | :19:17. | :19:19.
learning Chinese philosophy, Mandarin will be on the school | :19:20. | :19:24.
curriculum from September. People can understand China deeper with | :19:25. | :19:31.
language learning. I believe this is very important long term. Some | :19:32. | :19:36.
campaigners say that deeper understanding must also include | :19:37. | :19:40.
China's current political situation. Lastly, a group of lawyers and human | :19:41. | :19:43.

impact on lives. Alex, you performed a recital earlier. What did you say? | :20:23. | :20:31.
What does that mean? In English, it means sorry, my Chinese is not good. | :20:32. | :20:37.
They hope that will not be the case in St Catherine's College. A group | :20:38. | :20:40.
of children will did them a visit China next week in a hope to make | :20:41. | :20:47.
them stand out in the future. Good luck to them. | :20:48. | :20:49.
They had to wait an extra day for blue skies | :20:50. | :20:51.
but today two Spitfires flew over the White Cliffs of Dover | :20:52. | :20:54.
to mark the 100th birthday of Dame Very Lynn. | :20:55. | :20:56.
The fly-past was cancelled yesterday because of bad weather. | :20:57. | :20:58.
But the pilots said they were determined to take | :20:59. | :21:00.
to the skies this morning to honour the forces' sweetheart, | :21:01. | :21:03.
Simon Jones is in Biggin Hill, from where the Spitfires took off. | :21:04. | :21:06.
Quite a sight and quite a sound, Simon. | :21:07. | :21:14.
Yes, it has been a day of history. These historic aircraft taking to | :21:15. | :21:21.
the skies above the historic white cliffs. All to celebrate the life of | :21:22. | :21:26.
the historic lady he means so much to see many people. -- who means so | :21:27. | :21:32.
much to so many people. # There will be bluebirds over | :21:33. | :21:35.
the White Cliffs of Dover #. The sound of the Spitfires | :21:36. | :21:40.
accompanied by the dulcet tones of Dame Vera, a centenary | :21:41. | :21:47.
celebration to honour the women who would travel to conflict | :21:48. | :21:52.
zones around the world to give morale boosting performances | :21:53. | :21:55.
to British troops. I mean, Dame Vera Lynn, | :21:56. | :21:56.
she is an icon. It is both, it is mixing | :21:57. | :22:04.
icons, the iconic spitfire and the icon | :22:05. | :22:06.
that is Dame Vera Lynn but of course it is tied up with so much more | :22:07. | :22:09.
and all the A very proud moment | :22:10. | :22:12.
and a real privilege. It is just a short flight | :22:13. | :22:18.
from Biggin Hill to Dover but one the organisers | :22:19. | :22:20.
were determined to recreate after yesterday's disappointment | :22:21. | :22:24.
at the weather. Yesterday, people were shivering | :22:25. | :22:28.
in the fog, the wind and Today though, perfect conditions | :22:29. | :22:33.
to enjoy the fly-past. It didn't work out first yesterday, | :22:34. | :22:44.
though we had loads of veterans here which I know she would be | :22:45. | :22:48.
thrilled with and loads of other As far as I am concerned, | :22:49. | :22:51.
Dame Vera Lynn is 100 all year and as far | :22:52. | :23:05.
as I am concerned, that wonderful lady all year, | :23:06. | :23:07.
it's exactly what we will do. Dame Vera talking to her | :23:08. | :23:11.
daughter still fondly We did have a trouble one time | :23:12. | :23:13.
when we just started a concert And the boys had to rush up | :23:14. | :23:17.
and hold the sides on. And as today shows, | :23:18. | :23:23.
if things don't go according to plan the first | :23:24. | :23:25.
time, you can try again. Dame Vera said she is humbled by all | :23:26. | :23:39.
the fuss that is being made. The organisers admitted when they could | :23:40. | :23:42.
not take to the skies in the Spitfires yesterday, they were very | :23:43. | :23:46.
upset. And veteran turned to them and said get a grip and that's why | :23:47. | :23:50.
they decided to do it all again today. Dame Vera says a secret to a | :23:51. | :23:54.
is reading and watching television. We are probably all doing OK. | :23:55. | :23:56.
Thank you. It is not a fuss. It is thoroughly | :23:57. | :24:05.
deserved. We are pleased the weather got a grip. | :24:06. | :24:07.
Rain again tomorrow. Earlier of course, clear blue skies, nothing | :24:08. | :24:17.
like the temperatures we had last week,- 18 or 19 Celsius. It was more | :24:18. | :24:23.
like seven or eight in some places. It was feeling is lovely and | :24:24. | :24:26.
sheltered spots. We have got those cool air mass with us and into | :24:27. | :24:31.
tomorrow, some places across the UK will be seeing some snow. Not ours. | :24:32. | :24:35.
We will be seeing some rain. Tonight, it stays dry and clear. | :24:36. | :24:41.
Again, quite a cool night, temperature dropping to two or three | :24:42. | :24:46.
Celsius. Along the coast, slightly milder at around five or six | :24:47. | :24:50.
Celsius. There will be some sunshine early tomorrow, it will not last all | :24:51. | :24:55.
day. This is the reason why. This area of low pressure. There is the | :24:56. | :25:00.
snow. For us in the south-east, we will seize rain. Heavy at times, | :25:01. | :25:04.
breezy, passes through quite quickly. From about nine o'clock in | :25:05. | :25:10.
the morning for a time, all of us seeing the rain, is statistically in | :25:11. | :25:13.
the early part of the afternoon. Behind it, there are some sunshine. | :25:14. | :25:18.
It stays pretty breezy. Southerly winds around 20 mph will stop below | :25:19. | :25:24.
average temperatures for the time of year. Seven or eight Celsius. It is | :25:25. | :25:31.
feeling chilly and then as we go from Wednesday over into Thursday, | :25:32. | :25:34.
there will be some rain at times. Many of us holding on to clear skies | :25:35. | :25:39.
in the early part of the evening. Another cool night, temperatures of | :25:40. | :25:45.
rural spots, around freezing. One or two Celsius, or five along the | :25:46. | :25:49.
coast. Further outbreaks of rain as we had to the day on Friday. | :25:50. | :25:53.
Critically during the afternoon. Ten or 11 Celsius but many of us staying | :25:54. | :25:59.
around eight or nine. It is a wet, windy end to the day. As we go over | :26:00. | :26:04.
into Friday, the charge that you could see some heavy rain for a | :26:05. | :26:07.
time. Good news, that is going to clear and actually as we look | :26:08. | :26:12.
towards the weekend for Saturday and Sunday, the sunshine will be back | :26:13. | :26:16.
again. It is going to be a bit breezy, temperatures doing quite | :26:17. | :26:20.
well, highs of 11 or 12 Celsius. Chilly overnight. Saturday, perhaps | :26:21. | :26:26.
some frost in places. By the afternoon lots of sunshine around, | :26:27. | :26:31.
make the most of it. Into the new Wii, perhaps turning unsettled | :26:32. | :26:34.
again. The next couple of days, heavy rain during the middle part of | :26:35. | :26:39.
the day for tomorrow, rain at times for Thursday and Friday and just | :26:40. | :26:42.
like that, clear blue skies as we head towards the weekend. A lot of | :26:43. | :26:49.
rain and cold temperatures. It is March I suppose. | :26:50. | :26:51.
