A 94-year-old woman from Sussex who had ?600

:00:21.:00:22.

stolen on a trip to her local shops

:00:23.:00:24.

says she was left so traumatised she thought she would die.

:00:25.:00:27.

Daisy Payne had just withdrawn her pension money

:00:28.:00:28.

from the post office in Whitehawk when it was taken from her purse.

:00:29.:00:32.

This is the moment 94-year-old Daisy Payne picked up ?600

:00:33.:00:35.

from her local post office in Whitehawk.

:00:36.:00:37.

She had been ill and hadn't been able to collect her

:00:38.:00:41.

Minutes later, the money had been stolen.

:00:42.:00:44.

I was sick. I kept crying.

:00:45.:00:46.

I have lost weight. I just wanted to die.

:00:47.:00:48.

Because the neighbours all round said they

:00:49.:00:52.

thought I was on my way out, I was so drawn

:00:53.:00:57.

and what with the worry, losing all that money.

:00:58.:01:03.

After leaving the post office, Daisy and her friend walked

:01:04.:01:05.

By the time they left there, the money had been taken.

:01:06.:01:10.

These people just prey on the older and the vulnerable

:01:11.:01:16.

I hope they rot in hell, whoever it is.

:01:17.:01:27.

I think whoever has done this does need the full force

:01:28.:01:30.

Local shopkeepers or so upset they have

:01:31.:01:33.

Devastation. Total devastation.

:01:34.:01:36.

She is the heart of this community and certainly

:01:37.:01:38.

has a special place in my heart and I felt something

:01:39.:01:41.

had to be done to let her know that we are all

:01:42.:01:44.

Daisy grew up here in Whitehawk and spent most of her

:01:45.:01:48.

life caring for her mother, who died at the age of 100.

:01:49.:01:51.

She is now extremely angry at the person who

:01:52.:01:53.

I don't want to meet them because I would be sorry

:01:54.:02:03.

Sussex Police say they are looking into the incident on the afternoon

:02:04.:02:13.

Daisy says she is determined not to lose her nerve

:02:14.:02:17.

over what happened as she doesn't want

:02:18.:02:19.

And since that report aired on our early evening news programme

:02:20.:02:27.

we have had lots of calls and offers to help Daisy Payne,

:02:28.:02:33.

we'll be passing on all those good wishes to Daisy.

:02:34.:02:36.

South East MEP and former Ukip leader Nigel Farage says he intends

:02:37.:02:39.

to use his platform in Europe to convince people there

:02:40.:02:41.

they should support a good deal for Britain during Brexit.

:02:42.:02:44.

Last night Mr Farage confirmed that he won't be standing

:02:45.:02:47.

Speaking on this programme earlier tonight he said he thought

:02:48.:02:52.

he'd be more useful campaigning on the continent.

:02:53.:02:56.

There's been a dramatic increase in the number of men in Kent seeking

:02:57.:02:59.

The Release The Pressure campaign was launched in response to figures

:03:00.:03:04.

revealing that suicide is the leading killer of men under 45.

:03:05.:03:09.

Charlie Rose speaks to one man who reached out.

:03:10.:03:22.

Mike Stubbs calls this song Pain No More.

:03:23.:03:29.

He says making it gave him the therapy

:03:30.:03:37.

he needed to cope with his mental health issues.

:03:38.:03:39.

Coming out of hospital after a suicide attempt and

:03:40.:03:44.

being at complete rock bottom, you know,

:03:45.:03:46.

I really wanted to write something passionate and meaningful

:03:47.:03:48.

I kind of just put it online to show my friends

:03:49.:03:52.

It got shared so many times all over the world and I was getting fan mail

:03:53.:03:58.

in the hundreds daily just from people

:03:59.:04:00.

who also suffer from mental health and depression.

:04:01.:04:02.

And it really did make you want to continue on

:04:03.:04:05.

A campaign aimed at ending male suicide in Kent has seen

:04:06.:04:13.

more than 6,500 men call a special helpline in the past year.

:04:14.:04:17.

It comes after Prince Harry revealed he sought help after not thinking

:04:18.:04:21.

And the Duke of Cambridge said the British stiff upper lip

:04:22.:04:27.

should not be allowed to endanger mental help.

:04:28.:04:30.

I've seen a number of sad situations that come from suicides

:04:31.:04:33.

particularly and self harm, and I think it is just a tragedy

:04:34.:04:37.

And for Mike, it is also the social side of making music which has been

:04:38.:04:44.

As it has helped others, it has fed him and inspired him to do more.

:04:45.:04:53.

Newly married and with a record label interested

:04:54.:04:55.

in his music, these are better times for Mike Stubbs.

:04:56.:05:02.

Football now and it hasn't quite gone to plan

:05:03.:05:05.

for Brighton and Hove Albion tonight.

:05:06.:05:08.

They lost 2-0 to Norwich in their latest Championship match.

:05:09.:05:11.

Our reporter Ian Palmer is live in Norwich now.

:05:12.:05:14.

Well, it wasn't all that bad when you think about it. Brighton scored

:05:15.:05:30.

twice but they were both own goals off the back of keeper David

:05:31.:05:38.

Stockdale. It didn't help matters that they came from Ian Prichard who

:05:39.:05:45.

Brighton were keen on signing early in the season. But when I spoke to

:05:46.:05:49.

fans after, they said they didn't care. It doesn't matter. Where still

:05:50.:06:00.

going up. Where happy, where calm. It was all right. A day out. I'm

:06:01.:06:08.

still hungover. Ever so hungover from Monday. When you think about

:06:09.:06:19.

it, the last time these two sides met, Brighton won 5-0 against

:06:20.:06:26.

Norwich. It is the vagaries of the championship, so difficult to get

:06:27.:06:29.

out of this league and they have got out of it. The next chance they have

:06:30.:06:35.

to be the official champions is against Bristol city a week

:06:36.:06:37.

tomorrow. That's it from me, the national

:06:38.:06:39.

weather forecast in a moment but first let's get the picture

:06:40.:06:42.

in the South East with Nina Ridge. Quite a bit of cloud at the moment.

:06:43.:06:54.

We might keep that cloud throughout the morning. It's not really until

:06:55.:07:02.

Sunday that we start to see something a little bit brighter with

:07:03.:07:07.

more sunshine on the way. It's not going to be particularly cold

:07:08.:07:12.

tomorrow morning. We can see one or two showers scattered around. A bit

:07:13.:07:19.

of cloud, a bit of rain here and there. That weather front bringing

:07:20.:07:23.

the rain is clearing away to the south-east. Try and brighter through

:07:24.:07:29.

the afternoon. It won't be as mild as today.

:07:30.:07:30.

marathon. Here is the outlook for the weather for the next few days

:07:31.:07:36.

and Helen Willetts has the National forecast.

:07:37.:07:41.

While unusual to see snow in May, it will be a shock to the system. We've

:07:42.:07:51.

seen some interesting contrast. 19 degrees cost is in Scotland in the

:07:52.:07:55.

sunshine today. In the sunshine only 11. The differences we are behind a

:07:56.:08:02.

cold weather front. Seeing a stepped down in temperatures. The cold air

:08:03.:08:06.

filtering sound so there will be a widespread ground frost across the

:08:07.:08:10.

country. The week weather front still with us so we could cheat

:08:11.:08:17.

patchy mist and fog. The best chance of seeing the meteor shower

:08:18.:08:20.

overnight will be in those clear skies further north. A better chance

:08:21.:08:24.

for south overnight. We start Saturday morning with the line of

:08:25.:08:27.

cloud, the weather front from Northern Ireland through Wales, the

:08:28.:08:29.

Midlands coming

:08:30.:08:30.
