As the police investigation into the life of Westminster

attacker Khalid Masood continues, a former teacher at his school

in Kent says the man formerly known as Adrian was a smiling

Frederik Jurriaanse was a deputy headteacher

at Huntleys Secondary School for Boys in Tunbridge Wells.

This is Adrian as a schoolboy in Tunbridge Wells. A pleasant,

likeable character is how staff and classmates remember him. Today, a

former deputy head teacher at the school, seen here in the top right

of this picture, described the remedy was told the Westminster

attacker was one of his former pupils.

When I realised that Adrian was the culprit, I was absolutely horrified.

I'm still in a state of shock about it, really. What else can I say?

That one of my former pupils would end up in a situation like this is

absolutely horrific. Adrian later became known as won.

The terrorist who killed four people in the heart of Westminster. His

criminal career began shortly after he left school, Scotland Yard said

he had convictions for assault, grievous bodily harm and could the

wood-mac possessive of an offensive weapon. One of his victims was Danny

Smith in Eastbourne in 2003. He pulled a knife, held it to my

face, and he sort of flinched to do it by distilled their, thinking, he

A recent report into European jihadists found their radicalisation

is often linked to their criminality. Some have suggested in

to won's case it may have happened in prison.

But how? They befriend them. They will help them with anything they

need. They can supply it, they have got all the contacts. And if you

accept what they are giving you, whether it be tobacco, whether it be

helping them to contact their family, there they are going to want

something in return. And detectives are now trying to

establish whether Khalid Masood acted alone.

A body has been pulled out of the sea in Brighton

after concerns that a man had walked into the water and not returned.

The body was recovered by a passer-by four hours

search began shortly after 9 o'clock this morning.

Despite efforts to save the man's life, he was declared

Meanwhile, a search for man who fled a car crash and ran into the sea

off Sheerness has been taking place today.

Police were called to Strode Crescent in Sheerness last night -

three people were later arrested on suspicion of taking

a car without consent while the man ran into the sea -

it's now believed he found his way out of the water.

A Kent soldier who fought during the Battle of the Somme

has been honoured by the Commonwealth War Graves

Commission with a headstone, ninety-nine years after his death.

George Edward Valentine Field from Northfleet served as a gunner

in the Royal Field Artillery on the Western Front,

after lying about his age and enlisting at the age of 16.

He was gassed twice and died of tuberculosis aged 19.
