A special church service has been held in Battle,

to mark the life of a 37-year-old mother who was killed

by a car whilst out walking with her family last Sunday.

Officers have said they are investigating reports the driver may

have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.

On Mothering Sunday, remembering a mother of three,

in the church just yards from where she was hit while out

The whole town seems so desperately affected.

One thing he did say to me as I was talking

about this service today, is that he wanted to express his

gratitude for how very kind so many people have been to him,

to the boys and to the family in this time of need.
