A taxi driver from Deal who was attacked by a passenger says

she feels completely let down by the police after they failed

to process crucial evidence in time for the court case.

Kent Police have now apologised to Julie Prior for their mistakes

which meant her attacker has never been prosecuted.

Unhappy with the demeanour of her passengers, taxi driver

Julie Prior bluntly tells them to get out.

Her dash-cam then records the sound of their reaction.

The lady in the front decided that she was going to hit me,

pull my hair and it was only because she pulled so hard

that my hair came out in her hands and I was able to get out

The assault left Julie Prior with a bald patch on her head

The video recording was handed to police the next day.

The attacker was charged with assault but when the case came

to court more than four months later the police still hadn't given

A magistrate wouldn't give them any more time

I am disgusted, I feel like I've been failed.

It turns out the officer in the case had been on a course and didn't

respond to requests for the video until it was too late.
