Residents in East Kent were advised to keep their windows

and doors shut today, as a huge fire took hold

Around 30 firefighters were called to tackle the blaze.

This phone footage captures the fire before it was under control.

Flames billowing in the wind, black smoke filling the air.

It was just plumes of smoke coming from the roof,

and after about 20 minutes of the smoke coming out

the roof, flames started coming through the tiles.

After that it was all, one after the other,

bits of the roof falling down on each other.

Shortly before 9am this morning, firefighters were called

to the unused Holly Tree pub, a few miles from

The blaze started in the roof and quickly spread.

As the pub lay empty, no one was injured.

It's not stable, so all the firefighting is happening

to stop the fire spreading, and they've remained

A 17-year-old racing driver from Surrey has been airlifted

to hospital after a crash at Donnington Park.

Billy Monger from, Charlwood near Gatwick, was taking

part in the British Formula 4 Championships - this is the footage

from his onboard camera just before the crash.

He was removed from the car after suffering leg injuries.

The driver of the other car was also taken to hospital.

Two Russian warships have sailed through the English Channel

HMS Sutherland tracked the vessels as they made their way

through the North Sea towards the Dover Straits.

It's the third time Russian ships have used the Channel in six months.

The MP for Dover says authorities in France must prevent another

migrant camp from appearing in the Calais area.

More than 1000 refugees were displaced when a fire

destroyed their camp in nearby Dunkirk last week.

Charities in Calais say many are now sleeping in the woods.

In an aid Centre in Calais, the work continues over Easter.

The volunteers here no longer provide accommodation,

but they do travel to help locations, to give out

We're not talking several thousand, but there is still

But, say volunteers, there are still people living rough,

Today, there was no sign of any massive influx

of migrants back to Calais, but we did see small

groups and individuals and a police presence.

But the authorities, they've moved everyone, haven't they?

They've moved them away from the jungle?

Not too much, sometimes 13, sometimes 15.

We need to make sure that we nip this in the bud,

so that we don't start to see repeats of scenes that we saw last

We fought so long and hard last summer, to get rid

of the jungle, that we cannot risk it returning.

That's why it's so important that the French take action,

A situation which - for now - appears to be under control.

It's a bit of a soggy end to Easter Sunday with that rain,

but we have had a good deal of dry weather today.

That rain should be gradually clear as we head through the night,

although some will still be around tomorrow morning.

As you can see, it's fairly patchy, so not really affecting everybody.

We've got that north-westerly wind, as well, continuing.

Temperatures down to about about 7-8 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow morning there will be some remnants of that rain,

certain outbreaks, a few showers throughout the day, in fact.

There will be some spots cloudier than us, but hopefully we should

all see some bright or even sunny spells at some point in the day.

And out of the sunshine, it's probably feeling fairly chilly,

with highs of about 13 degrees Celsius, but in some spots just
