People concerned about planned changes to NHS services in Dorset

have gathered in Bournemouth to voice their concerns.

Campaigners hope to save Poole's accident and emergency department,

as well as other services facing closure in the county.

Dorset is facing having one of their accident and emergency departments

closed. It is the most striking and controversial change proposed. The

Royal Bournemouth becoming the county's major emergency hospital

with another A downgraded. Clinical commissioners say treating

patients and specialist centres will save lives but these campaigners

disagree. I cannot get my head around an argument whereby the

closure of one of the A is actually going to save lives. There

has been a huge pressure on A this winter and the Red Cross has

gone so far as to call it a humanitarian crisis. Maternity and

Hospital's maternity unit. The Stafford midwives there were
