Police in Devon have launchdd a murder investigation after the death

of a 17`year`old boy in Kingsbridge. The teenager has tonight bedn named

as Alex Peguero`Sosa, a forler junior player with Plymouth Argyle

football club. He died following an argument at the bus station. A

42`year`old local man has bden arrested

on suspicion of murder. Hamhsh Marshall reports from Kingsbridge.

Tributes to a popular teenager. Throughout the day, friends came to

A man has died after falling around 25 feet from the roof of a bar in

North Devon. Emergency servhces were called to Riley's on the High Street

in Bideford at around 11:30 last night. Another man, who also fell,

is said to have non`life`threatening

injuries. The dead man is bdlieved to be local and in his 30s.

A Devon woman who lost her lother and grandmother to cancer and

suffered from it herself saxs she now fears

for her six`year`old daughtdr. Mandy Jones has an inherited gene which

increases the risk of getting breast cancer. Today, she was one of more

than 1000 women taking part in Race For Life, organised by Cancdr

Research UK, in Barnstaple. Chloe Axford went to meet her.

Most of the women here at R`ce For Life have a tale to tell about

cancer. Mandy Jones' is mord poignant than most. Her grandmother

died at an early age and thdn cancer struck her mum.

My mum was diagnosed three xears ago. She had terminal cancer when

she was diagnosed. And then that led to me being diagnosed with breast

cancer. If it wasn't for Mul, I may not be here now.

After treatment, including ` double mastectomy and hysterectomy, Mandy

is now clear. But her familx carries the BRCA2 gene, which predisposes

them to cancer. It makes her fear for her six`year`old daughtdr,

Kaicee, who can't be tested until she is 18.

It's always going to be on ly mind, until she can have the test and take

that preventative surgery, hf she wants to.

CROWD: Three...two...one... HORN BLASTS.

Mandy and Kaicee had been chosen to start today's three kilometre race.

There are more than 1700 wolen and girls taking part in this r`ce for

life, virtually all of them affected by cancer in some way. Todax's event

raised more than ?62,000, which will go towards vital cancer resdarch.

Huge crowds gathered in Newpuay this weekend to enjoy the spectacle of

polo on the beach at Waterg`te Bay. Now in its eighth year, the two`day

event featured three polo m`tches, with international stars johning

teams to compete for the coveted Watergate Bay trophy. There were

also a number of polo demonstrations and

live music events to keep vhsitors entertained.

Well, it's just as you can see, a stunning setting. And then xou've

got the sea and the surf and all the Cornish people who have comd out in

support. It's really relaxed and they love watching the polo.

Horses are great, once they get used to the sand. They realise they can

get a pretty good grip on the sand and they can turn well. Thex're
