Around 50 firefighters will stay in Exeter overnight,

to continue damping down hotspots in what remains

Demolition of what's left of the historic building's

facade is likely to start on Tuesday.

what was once a proud and mtch loved Hotel. It is still too dangdrous for

firefighters to go inside. The fire is not owed. We know them using the

thermal imaging cameras that is a hot spot deep in the centre of the

hotel, that you cannot see, hidden away. It is our technology picking

these up. We can show you the damage inside the coffee shop just behind

the Royal Clarence. It demonstrates how hard the firefighters worked to

stop the flames spreading onto the high street. And there has been an

outpouring of gratitude for the emergency services. As someone

suggested to me on Twitter, we should have a parade for thdm, so

the local people can acknowledge them. I think that would be great.

But there are other people have talked about having an active

remembrance around what we have lost and again there is an opportunity to

say thank you to the people who limited the damage as much `s they

did. Structural engineers are trying to work out how they can safely

bring down the facade, but ht is not yet clear exactly when that will be.

We have been told they will try to preserve the bottom half because

that dates back to medieval times. The fire has caused problems

for visitors and businesses in the city for a third day -

and some shops are unsure when they will be able

to trade again. Devon's centre of worship rdmained a

sharing a constituency with those across the Tamar. I love Devon, but

we're Cornish and we cannot have a joint constituency because ht is

just not right, we have a mhnority status. It is weakening our

standing. They do not seem to be prepared to consider a spechal case.

They did it with the Isle of Wight and other parts of the Unitdd

Kingdom. Absent when any of Cornwall's six Conservative MPs but

the protest had the support of former ministers and passed

parliamentarians. A lot of what is here today is about putting pressure

on the current MPs on both sides of the border to say that people are

very unhappy with it. I am witnessing a cultural experhence! I

have never seen anything like it, and it is fantastic to see. This

seat has been designed at a desk in London, and it makes no sense.

Ministers see the boundary changes make the number of voters more

equal. Consultation on the proposals goes on until December.

In rugby, Exeter Chiefs narrowly lost their Premiership clash

with local rivals Bath - the visitors claiming the 13-10

victory in the dying seconds of extra time at Sandy Park.

Good evening. We have had a bright day across the south-west. Lany of

us have been enjoying sunshhne. We still have some cloud out there and

as we go through tonight it will lower, so we will continue to see

the risk of mist and fog. Not a cold night, Stein mailed with

temperatures at 11 or 12. Away from any mist and fog first thing will be

great, but if you have the fog it could kill -- it could lingdr

through the morning. Come ltnchtime it will start to brighten up. The

Good evening. It has been a mild and a bit of a murky day. A lot of mist

and low cloud, but also some warm sunshine. Here was the scene

captured in Perth and Kinross by one of the weather watchers earlier in

the day. A change in weather type during the week, feeling colder

still some mist and fog round over the next few days. Quite a lot of

dry weather still on the cards. Mainly dry out there at the moment.
