Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder

following the death of a woman in Paignton on Friday.

The emergency services were called to Church Street just before 5.30

on Friday morning amid concerns for the welfare of a

The woman, who's reported to have been in her 40s, died at the scene.

A 20-year-old woman has died from injuries she suffered

while operating machinery on a farm near Dawlish.

Two air ambulances were sent to a farm behind the Gatehouse area

of the town, where the woman was fatally injured in an incident

Thousands of pounds are to be invested in CCTV

Cornwall already has a state-of-the-art CCTV hub provided

by the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.

We are in the nerve centre of CCTV near Camborne,

but we can see Truro, Hale, Penryn, Camborne,

Halston, Penzance and Redruth all in one room.

When police officers are faced with a challenging

situation when there's CCTV there it is like having a second

officer looking over your shoulder and if we identify medical

emergencies through the CCTV, we can activate the Ambulance Service very

quickly, so it's got huge benefits for the community generally.

It is this ability that has attracted the police and crime

commission who are now offering to pay for similar systems.

We don't have the same for Devon, so I am interested to see how we can

create a similar hub or hubs in Devon so we can help

I am also still heavily involved in connecting up more

Each town is charged just under ?1,000 per CCTV camera per year

with a dedicated person monitoring the screens for 44 hours a week.

Hello, as was the case on Saturday there was a lot of whether around

today. Showers for some, some saw the staff of postcard material, for

others it was more Christmas card material. We had pictures like that

quite widely across the Midlands and Wales as well. This weather system

has been here for a good part of the day in Wales and the North Midlands

and southern England. It is not that warm underneath that particular

front. Some winter arenas about some of the rain as it clears away to the
