The mild theme continues.

Friday afternoon saw temperatures up

to 18.5 degrees in the north-west of England.

It's mild overnight, but with rain across the west and north of the UK.

That rain is still there in the morning across Scotland,

but give it a while and it will fizzle out.

Low clouds, mist and fog across the south-east will break-up,

but it will linger.

In the afternoon most of the rain is cleared away from Scotland.

It will brighten the skies up nicely. Temperatures do well

- 14, 15 degrees. Should feel pleasant.

Still a bit of rain towards Cumbria,

but the rest of north England does well.

Some parts of eastern England in particular,

maybe some parts of the Midlands are going to hang onto to that low

cloud and temperatures will struggle, 11-12 degrees.

A bit of brighter weather, though, sunshine coming through.

Temperatures will be higher. Middle to upper teens quite wildly,

you could even see 20 Celsius in one or two spots.

It looks like a decent afternoon across most of the south-west

of England.

Most of Wales it's going to feel very pleasant.

Not windy, and temperatures in the upper teens quite widely.

Maybe a bit more cloud around the western coast of Wales.

Up towards Northern Ireland some good spells of sunshine into

the afternoon and pretty mild as well, 15-16 degrees possible.

In the evening, mist and fog reforms once again, mainly across southern

Scotland and England and Wakes where the winds are a bit lighter.

Temperatures just about dipping into single figures.

I think they will do quite widely in more rural spots.

Particularly in Scotland.

Sunday itself, we are

dominated by this area of pressure across central Europe which

is keeping these weather fronts swell to the north and west of the UK.

Still a bit of a breeze for western Scotland,

but staying fine and dry across the board.

Mist, fog, low cloud slow to clear

and many places will stay cloudy into the afternoon,

and, again, a variation in temperatures where you have low cloud.

On the cool side you get a bit of sunshine.

Temperatures will be in the upper teens.

On into Monday, light winds so early mist and fog, but generally

the pattern remains the same, with high pressure across Europe.

Low pressure close to Iceland.

Weather fronts creeping their way to the far north west.

Mist and fog a problem in the early morning,

and it may linger into the afternoon.

Again, a lot of cloud. A lot of dry weather through the day.

Monday into Tuesday,

we see this area of low pressure drift from the south.

There are some questions marks about the detail with this,

but, at the moment, it looks like it

will clip its way through the far south west of the UK.

The south west of England, maybe south Wales,

will see outbreaks of rain and a breeze.

Elsewhere, largely dry early mist and fog again,

best of the brighter weather across Northern parts.

Then question marks about the middle of next week.

At the moment it looks like we are going to see this low

drifting across the UK.

That'll bring a cloudier day to the middle of next week.

There's a chance of seeing some outbreaks of rain.

Probably not heavy, not persistent, but a cloudy day with some rain.

But, still those temperatures doing well, into double figures,

maybe the upper teens for some.

Now, later next week the position of the jet stream is to the north

of the UK, the colder air to the north and warmer air to the south.

We're still in the mild air.

On the way into next weekend.

Low pressure systems running their way up to Iceland,

so the north west of the UK at risk of strong winds

and outbreaks of or rain, but with high pressure towards the south

and east that's the best of the dry and bright weather will be.
