Look at these ingredients I found. OK, so what have we got?

-ALL: Cress.

-Lovely fresh cress. Shall we have a look in

my cookbook and find a recipe? Come on, then. It's over this way.

We're going to make party eggs today.

They really do, don't they?

But before we get started on the cooking,

-what have we got to do?

-ALL: Wash our hands.

Well, we've washed our hands, so let's get started.

Now, who likes eggs?

-ALL: Me!

-Brilliant! I love eggs, too.

And you're going to love this recipe because we

get to add a surprise flavour to the eggs.

The first thing we have to do is shell an egg.

And this means that we peel the shell from a boiled egg.

I've got some of them here on our tables.

Now, who knows where an egg like this comes from?

-A chicken.

-A chicken!

And chickens go...

SHE CLUCKS

Can you pretend to be a chicken with us? Ready?

Now, let's shell our eggs, everyone. I'll show you how to do it.

Knock the egg on the mat to make a little crack in the shell.

My one has a crack.

And then, we're going to roll and crack the egg like this.

Roll and crack.

-Roll and crack.

-ALL: Roll and crack.

Can you hear the noise it's making?

LIGHT CRACKING SOUND

-Sounds like the rain dripping.

-It does sound like the rain dripping.

And then once you've finished,

we peel the shell off the egg.

Be really careful. And just peel the pieces of shell into the bowl.

My one's getting longer and longer!

There we go. And now we give our eggs a little bit of a bath,

to wash off pieces of shell we've left over.

-Splish, splash, splosh!

-ALL: Splish, splash, splosh!

-Looks like a swirly whirly pool.

-It looks like a swirly whirly pool?

Swirly whirly curly pool.

Oh, wow! Look at those. Lovely sparkling clean.

All right, team. The next thing we're going to do

is cut our eggs in half. Some knives are sharp, so you must be careful.

But the knife we're using is a knife you use when you're eating dinner.

So it's absolutely fine for us to use.

And I'll show you how to cut it.

You hold the egg at the top and the bottom, like this,

and then you very carefully cut down the middle, like that.

Lovely!

Now, the way we're going to pop the yolk out is really fun, actually.

You put your finger and your thumb on the edge of the egg, like this,

and you squeeze and pop. There it goes!

ALL: Squeeze and pop.

Excellent.

We're going to use our forks to mash up the yolk.

Mash. Mash.

-Mash, mash, mash, mash.

-Mash. Mash.

-Mash, mash, mash, mash.

Mash, mash, mash, mash, mash.

Next we're going to add some lovely mayonnaise,

which actually comes from eggs.

So take your teaspoon and take another teaspoon

because we're going to play the two-spoon game.

Take a scoop of mayonnaise...

ALL: Scoop.

..And then we slide the mayonnaise into the bowl.

-Everyone say, "Slide!"

-ALL: Slide!

We've got four different types of flavours that we could add.

We've got tomatoes,

we've got spring onions, and then we've got cress,

and we've got lovely bacon as well.

Everyone choose one thing you would like to put in your bowls.

-Cress.

-Tomatoes.

-Tomatoes! Good choice.

Take your spoon and mix, mix, mix!

-Yummy, scrummy, in my tummy!

-ALL: Yummy, scrummy, in my tummy!

And can you mix with us, too? I knew you would! All right.

Grab your bowl like this and then get your fork, and what do we do?

Mix, mix, mix! Brilliant! Well done.

So take your teaspoon, scoop up one portion of the mixture,

and then use your other spoon to slide it into your eggs.

There we go.

In you go.

And off we go.

It fits just perfectly, doesn't it?

Brilliant. Has everyone finished scooping and sliding?

Then we're going to squeeze the two halves of the egg together

to make one egg again, like this.

And squeeze.

Squash! Squash!

Squash!

It's squashed!

Finally, we're going to wrap our eggs up in a little foil blanket.

Ah, it looks really nice and cosy in there.

And once you've finished wrapping up your eggs,

we pop them into a plastic tub.

OK? And that's it! You've done it, team.

You have made your party eggs all by yourselves.

And all we've got to do now is pop these in the fridge to chill.

OK, Monica? Your lovely yellow tub.

And your lovely blue tub, Mr Blue.

Thank you very much.

Now, you might need to get an adult to help you put these in the fridge.

There we go. Now, these shouldn't take very long to chill at all.

-Lovely.

-Don't forget, Katie. We need to make everywhere tidy and clean.
