Good afternoon, you're live with me, Ricky, and the water slide that's | :00:00. | :00:12.
taken over a city is on the way... Coming up: The giant water slide | :00:13. | :00:18.
that is taking over a city plus why you would be for given for thinking | :00:19. | :00:22.
you are seeing a double. It's Newsround. | :00:23. | :00:24.
But first, zookeepers say they're worried a baby monkey stolen from | :00:25. | :00:28.
its cage earlier this week might struggle to survive without the | :00:29. | :00:31.
right care and attention. Four other primates that were illegally taken | :00:32. | :00:34.
from Blackpool zoo have been returned but the youngest is still | :00:35. | :00:38.
missing. Here's Jenny with more. Cotton-top tamarins are critically | :00:39. | :00:41.
endangered, with only 6,000 left in the wild. Two females and a young | :00:42. | :00:46.
baby were taken on Tuesday night after thieves broke into the | :00:47. | :00:55.
animal's enclosure. I think it is disgusting. We have not ever had any | :00:56. | :00:59.
primates stolen from the zoo and the ones that have been taken very | :01:00. | :01:03.
endangered animals. Two male emperor tamarins were also taken Experts say | :01:04. | :01:06.
individual monkeys can fetch hundreds, even thousands, of pounds | :01:07. | :01:09.
on the black market, one of the reasons why they may have been | :01:10. | :01:11.
taken. The animals can be worth quite a lot | :01:12. | :01:15.
of money but to us the value is not important, we just wanted our | :01:16. | :01:22.
animals back. We wanted to make sure they were in a good condition. | :01:23. | :01:25.
Then on Friday a breakthrough. Lancashire Police found four of the | :01:26. | :01:28.
monkeys abandoned on a doorstep in West Yorkshire. | :01:29. | :01:31.
When I got to Halifax police station they were in small metal cages. They | :01:32. | :01:34.
looked in good condition but obviously they did look scared. | :01:35. | :01:40.
But the baby cotton-top tamarin is still missing and the zoo says being | :01:41. | :01:44.
away from the environment it was born in is worrying. Obviously we | :01:45. | :01:50.
are still trying to find out whether -- where the remaining animal is. | :01:51. | :01:54.
That baby is dependent on its mother at the moment. Police will continue | :01:55. | :01:57.
their search for the baby monkey. It's hoped he will be returned to | :01:58. | :02:00.
his family here at Blackpool Zoo very soon. | :02:01. | :02:02.
In other news: Ukraine's Prime Minister's accused Russia and its | :02:03. | :02:05.
supporters of trying to start a real war in the country. | :02:06. | :02:08.
It follows growing violence between Ukraine's army and pro-Russian | :02:09. | :02:10.
groups for control of important buildings in several towns and | :02:11. | :02:14.
cities in the East. It's all due to a split in the country between those | :02:15. | :02:17.
who want neighbouring Russia to have more influence and those who want | :02:18. | :02:22.
Ukraine to be closer to the EU. Next: Imagine if the main street | :02:23. | :02:27.
where you live could be turned into a giant water slide? Well, that's | :02:28. | :02:30.
exactly what's happened today in Bristol with a 300 foot flume built | :02:31. | :02:34.
as part of a massive art project. The BBC's Andrew Plant's been there | :02:35. | :02:36.
all day. Shooting down one of Bristol's main | :02:37. | :02:50.
streets, it is also one of the steepest in the city, closed to cars | :02:51. | :02:53.
since early this morning and converted into a giant water slide. | :02:54. | :02:59.
It is all the idea of one local artist. I suppose I am getting | :03:00. | :03:03.
people to think about the city in a new way. Imagine if slides were | :03:04. | :03:08.
installed all around it is as a way of commuting to work, wouldn't it be | :03:09. | :03:12.
fun? The key ingredient is the washing up liquid they have been | :03:13. | :03:16.
adding to the slide all morning and the more they put on, the faster | :03:17. | :03:22.
they go. It was really good. Because I am light I was ready fast. It was | :03:23. | :03:29.
really good fun. The first Sunday in every month in Bristol will see the | :03:30. | :03:32.
centre closed to traffic and there are plenty more ideas for plenty | :03:33. | :03:35.
more imaginative ways to move around. | :03:36. | :03:40.
I absolutely love it. Footy and Chelsea have a chance to | :03:41. | :03:44.
go top of the Premier League this afternoon if they beat Norwich. | :03:45. | :03:47.
Manchester City are still favourites to win the league after a vital over | :03:48. | :03:51.
Everton put them top with a game in hand yesterday. Fuham and Cardiff | :03:52. | :03:53.
were both relegated. To a scientific experiment that will | :03:54. | :03:56.
send shivers down your spine next. Twins Hugo and Ross are testing how | :03:57. | :04:00.
extreme temperatures affect the body by trekking across the Arctic in | :04:01. | :04:03.
clothing from both the modern day and 100 years ago. | :04:04. | :04:14.
Hugo and Ross are identical twins and they spent months preparing for | :04:15. | :04:21.
a very different Arctic expedition. The brothers will trek 340 miles | :04:22. | :04:26.
across the Greenland polar icecap to try and raise hundreds of thousands | :04:27. | :04:30.
of pounds for charity. The experience will be very different | :04:31. | :04:35.
for each of them. You go will be dressed in modern protective | :04:36. | :04:38.
clothing while Ross will be wearing the sort of kit used by polar | :04:39. | :04:43.
explorers 100 years ago. The brothers decided who would wear what | :04:44. | :04:47.
by flipping a coin. The experiment will allow researchers to monitor if | :04:48. | :04:52.
and how Hugo benefits from advances in modern technology and nutrition. | :04:53. | :05:25.
They began the exhausting trek earlier in the week so how is Ross | :05:26. | :05:28.
coping wearing the type of kit explorers wore many years ago? When | :05:29. | :05:31.
I stop for ten or 15 minutes I can start to slightly feel the wind but | :05:32. | :05:34.
all I have is a very thin jumper and nothing else. I have three socks in | :05:35. | :05:37.
my shoes and I need to know how they perform in this environment so I | :05:38. | :05:40.
have tripled up to make sure I do not get frostbite and I have just a | :05:41. | :05:43.
pair of trousers, mittens and a hat and a balaclava. I am very trek | :05:44. | :05:46.
should take 22 all going well, the trek should take 22 Finally if | :05:47. | :05:49.
you're looking at this and think you're seeing double, don't worry, | :05:50. | :05:52.
there's supposed to be two of them. These are the pictures from a huge | :05:53. | :05:56.
festival for twins in China. More than 1000 sets of twins attended. | :05:57. | :05:58.
