Hello and welcome back to Newsround with me, Hayley.

0:00:090:00:10

Take a look at this:

0:00:100:00:12

Lava from this erupting volcano is threatening people's homes

0:00:120:00:14

in Hawaii, and

0:00:140:00:16

How cool is this?

0:00:160:00:18

The president of the United States heads to Stonehenge.

0:00:180:00:26

First to Ukraine in Eastern Europe, where a ceasefire has stopped

0:00:260:00:29

the fighting between government forces and pro-Russia rebels.

0:00:290:00:31

There had been fighting in the east of the country

0:00:310:00:37

since April because some people there want the eastern parts of

0:00:370:00:41

Ukraine to become part of Russia.

0:00:410:00:42

But on Friday the two sides called a truce and so far there have been

0:00:420:00:46

no confirmed reports of fighting.

0:00:460:00:47

Leaders say they now want to work towards finding

0:00:470:00:49

a peaceful solution for everyone.

0:00:490:00:54

And if you want to know more about how the fighting in Ukraine started,

0:00:540:00:58

there's loads to find out in our guide on the website.

0:00:580:01:01

Next to the American island state of Hawaii where lava flowing

0:01:010:01:03

from a big volcano is threatening people's homes.

0:01:030:01:05

Officials have declared a state of emergency on Hawaii's Big Island,

0:01:050:01:12

so they can get people living there to safety.

0:01:120:01:15

The volcano's been erupting continuously for more than 30 years,

0:01:150:01:17

but back in June this year lava began coming

0:01:170:01:20

out of a new part of the mountain.

0:01:200:01:24

No one's been hurt and the authorities say they will keep

0:01:240:01:26

an eye on where the lava's flowing to make sure everyone is safe.

0:01:260:01:31

Two women in America have described the moment they came face-to-face

0:01:310:01:33

with a Great White shark.

0:01:330:01:35

They had been out kayaking off the coast of Massachussetts to

0:01:350:01:38

take pictures of seals, when one of them was knocked

0:01:380:01:42

into the water by the big fish, who took a big bite out of their kayak.

0:01:420:01:48

Both of them got away unharmed, but were shaken by the experience.

0:01:480:01:53

It came directly out of the water, underneath the boat, watched her

0:01:530:01:56

backwards and flipped me over.

0:01:560:01:57

I was talking to her, and next thing I am in the water

0:01:570:02:01

and I see a shark as close as you are to me, biting my kayak.

0:02:010:02:04

It was a dark grey, pointy nose, big teeth, big eye,

0:02:040:02:07

it was, like, right next to me.

0:02:070:02:15

To Formula One now, and Lewis Hamilton has qualified in pole

0:02:150:02:17

position for tomorrow's Italian Grand Prix, which will see the

0:02:170:02:19

massive rivalry continue with his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.

0:02:190:02:22

These are pictures from the qualifying session that

0:02:220:02:26

just finished a few minutes ago, in perfect sunny conditions

0:02:260:02:35

at the Monza race track.

0:02:350:02:36

The two Mercedes drivers are battling it out for the world

0:02:360:02:38

championship, and with just a few races left, Nico Rosberg's

0:02:380:02:41

ahead of Lewis Hamilton on points.

0:02:410:02:42

You can catch the race tomorrow, live on BBC1.

0:02:420:02:45

Stonehenge in Wiltshire is pretty

0:02:450:02:46

spectacular and well worth a visit.

0:02:460:02:51

But you might not expect to bump into one of the most powerful

0:02:510:02:54

world leaders while you're there.

0:02:540:02:56

Check this out.

0:02:560:02:56

How cool is this?

0:02:560:02:57

This is spectacular.

0:02:570:02:58

Barack Obama, the president of the United States, finished

0:02:580:03:02

a busy week at the NATO summt in Wales when he decided to take

0:03:020:03:05

a look around Stonehenge yesterday.

0:03:050:03:10

Meanwhile this family were sightseeing so it became less

0:03:100:03:12

about the stones and more about the selfies.

0:03:120:03:14

Later the family said the president was awesome.

0:03:140:03:23

The president said seeing Stonehenge has ticked one thing

0:03:230:03:27

off his lifetime to do list.

0:03:270:03:30

How cool is this though, really?

0:03:300:03:33

Spectacular, isn't it?

0:03:330:03:36

Next - between them, top swimmers Ellie Simmonds and

0:03:360:03:40

Ollie Hynd both won gold medals at the recent European Championships

0:03:400:03:42

and the Commonwealth Games.

0:03:420:03:43

And this month they're trying to get more people to take up

0:03:430:03:47

the sport through a series of fun swimming relays across Britain.

0:03:470:03:49

Jenny caught up with the busy pair.

0:03:490:03:53

The Newsround audience know you for getting medal after medal.

0:03:530:03:56

You got a gold at the Commonwealth Games and

0:03:560:03:58

the recent European Championships.

0:03:580:04:00

You must be thrilled.

0:04:000:04:02

Ho do you feel?

0:04:020:04:03

It has been an amazing month.

0:04:030:04:05

Very busy but I have achieved all my goals so I'm really happy with

0:04:050:04:08

the last month.

0:04:080:04:09

To be this good you guys must really put in the hours in the pool, what

0:04:090:04:13

are your training regimes like?

0:04:130:04:14

For me I am in the pool eight or nine times a week for two hours.

0:04:140:04:20

Logging between 40,000 and 50,000 metres.

0:04:200:04:22

I train eight sessions a week and on top of that we have to do the gym,

0:04:220:04:29

and I also go to college as well.

0:04:290:04:31

A lot of hours and effort but then the outcome is competitions

0:04:310:04:33

and swimming well.

0:04:330:04:47

There will be lots of kids watching you guys and they

0:04:470:04:50

want to know what top tips you have for them about how to make it?

0:04:500:04:54

There are loads of sacrifices that you're going to have to give but

0:04:540:05:06

just find out what you enjoy the most and where your talent lies.

0:05:060:05:09

Just go out there and train or do whatever you want and enjoy it.

0:05:090:05:12

It is not easy but the outcome is worth it in the end.

0:05:120:05:15

It is not easy but the outcome is worth it in the end.

0:05:150:05:18

You meet so many amazing people so they don't have to be Olympic

0:05:180:05:22

champions, just taking part is important as well.

0:05:220:05:23

Now to a warning of giant slimy proportions.

0:05:230:05:25

Massive slugs up to 6 inches long - that's the size of my hand -

0:05:250:05:29

are taking over Britain's green spaces, eating plants,

0:05:290:05:31

small rodents and even poo.

0:05:310:05:35

It's thought they have been carried over from Europe in salad leaves.

0:05:350:05:38

They are munching plants in people's gardens in south

0:05:380:05:40

and central England and the normal slug pellets gardeners

0:05:400:05:42

use don't seem to stop them.

0:05:420:05:44

It's hoped they will be stopped by the cold weather in the winter.

0:05:440:05:49

That's all from me, but head online to check out

0:05:490:05:51

the guy who's built an entire pirate ship in his back garden.

0:05:510:05:54

Newsround's back tomorrow morning, so I'll see you then.

0:05:540:05:56

Bye!
