Amazing pictures of a giant dust storm in America.

:00:00.:00:09.

Ayshah meets the world's most famous school girl.

:00:10.:00:13.

And move aside Formula 1 - we meet the star of Formula E!

:00:14.:00:17.

First, to the floods that have left thousands of people homeless

:00:18.:00:27.

Villages have been cut off and streets turned into lakes.

:00:28.:00:34.

Many people waited on their roofs to be rescued.

:00:35.:00:37.

The Indian Prime Minister has promised almost $2 million in aid.

:00:38.:00:39.

In neighbouring Pakistan, families were airlifted to safety

:00:40.:00:42.

Next - check out these amazing images of a giant dust storm

:00:43.:00:51.

These time-lapse pictures show the storm, known as a haboob,

:00:52.:01:01.

Weather forecasters issued a dust storm warning, but it was later

:01:02.:01:06.

She's the most famous schoolgirl in

:01:07.:01:14.

the world - and now Malala Yousafzai wants to share her story with you.

:01:15.:01:17.

Nearly two years after she was attacked

:01:18.:01:19.

on a school bus in Pakistan, Malala is releasing a book about her

:01:20.:01:22.

extraordinary life and it's written especially for young people.

:01:23.:01:24.

Ayshah went to Edinburgh to meet her.

:01:25.:01:26.

Back in 2012, Malala, was an ordinary schoolgirl

:01:27.:01:30.

I was sat on the school bus, I and my friends,

:01:31.:01:36.

I was on my way back home but then suddenly our bus was

:01:37.:01:41.

Then that man, he suddenly pulled out a gun

:01:42.:01:47.

Her crime in the eyes of the Taliban was speaking up for the rights

:01:48.:01:54.

When I was 11, I started writing a blog for the BBC.

:01:55.:02:00.

And at that time our education was banned,

:02:01.:02:03.

we could not go to school and more then 400 schools were destroyed.

:02:04.:02:07.

And I wanted to learn, I wanted to become a doctor at that time.

:02:08.:02:10.

But I wanted to make that dream come true.

:02:11.:02:14.

She was badly injured and flown to the UK for treatment.

:02:15.:02:19.

Two years on, she has recovered extremely well.

:02:20.:02:22.

And now she speaks out about her dream for girls

:02:23.:02:25.

Her passion for what she believes in means that world leaders

:02:26.:02:38.

and the media often want to hear what she has to say.

:02:39.:02:40.

I think I am not speaking to only 500 or 200 people, I'm not only

:02:41.:02:44.

speaking to the camera, but I am talking to millions of people,

:02:45.:02:48.

raising the voice of those children who are deprived of an education.

:02:49.:02:51.

When the teacher asks me questions in school.

:02:52.:03:00.

Now Malala wants even more people to hear her story

:03:01.:03:03.

My message to all young people all around the world is that they have a

:03:04.:03:09.

They should not wait for someone else, they should not

:03:10.:03:13.

wait for politicians or other people to come and speak for them.

:03:14.:03:16.

Her campaign nearly cost her life and Malala still travels the world

:03:17.:03:21.

But for now she has to prepare another big milestone, her GCSEs.

:03:22.:03:30.

Next up - to a cool new sport that you might not have heard of yet!

:03:31.:03:34.

Formula E uses high speed racing cars that look just

:03:35.:03:37.

But the difference is, they're all electric to make them

:03:38.:03:41.

The Championships start this weekend.

:03:42.:03:47.

One of the stars, Sam Bird, is with me now.

:03:48.:03:55.

Thank you for coming in this morning. What are the key

:03:56.:04:00.

differences between Formula one and Formula E? They are fully

:04:01.:04:08.

functioning electric racing cars. The sound great, they are very

:04:09.:04:13.

fast. They handle very well and I cant wait to drive them. How do they

:04:14.:04:21.

sound? They sound very futuristic. Like a futuristic spacecraft. You

:04:22.:04:27.

need to cars to complete a course. Why is that? The batteries do not

:04:28.:04:34.

last much longer than 30 minutes. When you are racing, you have to be

:04:35.:04:39.

very strategic with your power management. Half way through the

:04:40.:04:43.

race you have to jump out of one car and into the other. Will there ever,

:04:44.:04:51.

point when the battery runs out by accident? Absolutely. Hopefully in

:04:52.:04:57.

the future, if we can improve the technology and get to a stage where

:04:58.:05:01.

we use more than one car and one battery, that will take it

:05:02.:05:07.

mainstream and make it more viable for the future. What was your route

:05:08.:05:13.

into this car driving? I started with go-karting. It was always a

:05:14.:05:18.

dream. If any kids are watching, follow your dreams. I look forward

:05:19.:05:21.

to seeing you in Beijing. Thanks Sam,

:05:22.:05:24.

and sticking with thrilling sports, Canadian rider Brandon Semenuk has

:05:25.:05:26.

won the urban freeride event in the Were you glued to

:05:27.:05:29.

Strictly last night? If you love the show,

:05:30.:05:43.

then head to the Newsround website. We've got the goss

:05:44.:05:45.
