Junior doctors are going on strike again, this time for 48 hours.

It's after previous strikes earlier in the year did not solve

an argument that medical staff are having with the government.

Ministers want to change the hours they work and the money that junior

doctors get, especially at the weekends and overnight.

They say it will improve services for patients,

but doctors say the new contract is unfair.

The NHS says emergency services will still be operating.

It is important to be clear that urgent and emergency care will

continue as normal. Therefore, it is some planned care that is affected,

and whilst that is extremely regrettable for those patients whose

operations and procedures may need to be rescheduled, urgent care will
