Meet the orphan sea lion pups who are tasting freedom again.

First, at Newsround HQ we've heard from some of you who are worried

about people dressing as clowns to deliberately try

and frighten others.

You've told us there are lots of rumours about clowns

going around at the moment so we decided to look at the facts.

Ricky's been investigating.

It started in the US and Canada, people dressing up as clowns and

scaring others.

Now there have been reports from police of it happening

here in the UK.

Harmless fun?

Well, not everyone thinks so.

Over the past few weeks, it has also spread

online with lots of people posting videos on social media.

But now some parents say it is getting out of

hand and there are loads of rumours flying around,

like clowns will come to your school

if you don't share pictures of them.

None of those are true.

In the UK, a number of police forces say they are getting calls

from people who have been frightened

when they have seen people dressed as clowns.

The police say there is nothing funny about it.

The police, they've put extra patrols on,

if anybody sees anything and if anybody is frightened,

ring straight away.

The police will come, they don't mind if

it was a joke and not a serious clown.

And we have heard that some of you are a bit worried about this

so we have been taking a closer look at this story and it is important

to say that these sightings are incredibly rare

and no one has been hurt.

And even if it is just a few people having a bit of fun,

the police say they are taking these incidents very seriously.

They say anybody who dresses up as a clown

to scare someone on purpose could get into a lot of trouble.

If you are worried about people dressed as clowns then make sure

you speak to an adult about it.

Next, ex-Newsround presenter Ore Oduba

is starring in Strictly Come Dancing this year.

He wowed us last week with his American Smooth,

but what's he doing this week?

We are at Strictly.

It is week four, it is rehearsal day which means there is a

lot to get through so let's come on in and find Laura.

Hi.

Hi.

Who is a member of the production team who is going

to talk me through everything that we have got to do today.

OK.

What do we have to do, Laura?

Come on.

What have you got to do?

OK.

So you have got your fitting first.

Yes.

Till about half past and then you have a

TV Times shoot at 11 in the banqueting hall.

Oh!

Then you have got lunch and then you're going to

rehearse your block down the walk-through at one o'clock.

OK.

So we've got a fitting first?

You have.

Wardrobe.

OK, Laura, let's walk.

It gets more glamorous as we go through.

That's Ben, who is also a member of the team.

Jo and I are doing the jive this week which is

so full on, it is fast, it is frenetic but it is so Brilliant.

But like Laura said, there is so much more

to get very before we even get to rehearsing that today.

So I've got To do a fitting first and that TV Times magazine shoot

she talked about, it's basically Judge Rinder

dressed as a vampire, me and Claudia Fragapane

getting scared by him.

That's just the life that you lead in

Strictly Come Dancing.

Now, with nights drawing in, there's a slight chill in the air -

autumn has arrived.

But what does that mean for our animal friends who hibernate

during the colder months?

Well, over in Bristol, tortoise owners have been

getting their pets ready for the big winter sleep.

Meet Fred, she is 40 years young,

likes letters and lives the high in Somerset.

Here's Alfie, he's a youngster at 24, also likes lettuce and

enjoys a life of luxury in Gloucestershire.

He has his own bedroom with his own light just

because...

And I feed him regularly, hand fed, just to make

sure that he is fine.

These two are joining lots of fellow tortoises

here in Bristol for their big winter weigh in, a check-up to make sure

they're healthy enough to hibernate.

First off, they are given the once over by a vet.

We're checking their eyes to make sure their eyes are nice and clear,

checking their nose to make sure they don't have a runny nose,

You can just about see inside that mouth just to make

sure it's nice and pink and healthy.

Full marks for both Fred and Alfie here.

Next, they get measured and weighed to make sure they're

healthy for their size.

2.24kg.

And is that about right for...?

That looks about perfect.

Once again, Fred and Alfie are in top shape!

They can look forward to a nice sleep this winter

but not for too long.

In the wild they would hibernate for perhaps 2-12 weeks.

A lot of people in this country presume they can put them down

for six months which is not a good idea so by doing this,

we can put them right and check on the tortoises before

they go into hibernation.

So, these two are all ready for bed.

It's time to say good night to Fred and Alfie.

Finally, nine orphan sea lions have been released back into the wild

in Peru in South America.

Overfishing is causing big problems for these animals and these guys had

been rescued earlier this year after losing their mothers.

They were released near a small island that already has big

population of sea lions so let's hope they can make friends soon.
