You're watching Newsround with me Ricky this Thursday morning. | :00:11. | :00:14.
Last night the third and final debate took place between | :00:15. | :00:17.
Both candidates want to be President of the United States. | :00:18. | :00:23.
Mr Trump called Mrs Clinton a "nasty woman". | :00:24. | :00:31.
He also refused to answer a question about whether he would accept | :00:32. | :00:33.
the result of the election if he doesn't win. | :00:34. | :00:36.
Clinton said that Trump was a "Puppet" for | :00:37. | :00:38.
The vote takes place on the 8th of November. | :00:39. | :00:44.
Next up, we're still waiting to hear what happened to a probe that | :00:45. | :00:47.
The European Space Agency say the signal from the Schiaparelli | :00:48. | :00:52.
lander disappeared just before it was due to touch down | :00:53. | :00:55.
The BBC's David Shukman sent us this from mission control. | :00:56. | :01:02.
There's been a real roller-coaster of emotions | :01:03. | :01:04.
here at the European Space Agency with good news and bad. | :01:05. | :01:08.
What scientists are pleased about is they now have an orbiter | :01:09. | :01:11.
circling Mars, looking at its atmosphere for clues | :01:12. | :01:14.
But the bad news is, a lander they sent to the surface | :01:15. | :01:19.
of Mars seems to have run into trouble. | :01:20. | :01:23.
They kept track of it as it descended. | :01:24. | :01:25.
They know that its heat shield worked, that's very important. | :01:26. | :01:28.
They also know it released a parachute to slow itself down. | :01:29. | :01:32.
But in the last minute, before it was meant to reach | :01:33. | :01:35.
the ground it lost contact and no one really knows what happened. | :01:36. | :01:42.
Thousands of people are trying to escape from one of Iraq's biggest | :01:43. | :01:44.
cities ahead of huge battle expected to take place there. | :01:45. | :01:47.
The Iraqi army is trying to take back control of the city of Mosul | :01:48. | :01:50.
from the group that calls itself Islamic State. | :01:51. | :01:56.
Charities say families and children are likely | :01:57. | :01:58.
Iraq, a country in the Middle East next to Syria. | :01:59. | :02:11.
The second largest city in Iraq, Mosul, is controlled | :02:12. | :02:15.
by the extremist Islamist group that calls itself Islamic State. | :02:16. | :02:20.
Islamic State has killed a lot of people in Iraq and Syria. | :02:21. | :02:26.
It has also been behind deadly attacks around the world, including | :02:27. | :02:29.
When they first started fighting, Islamic State took over | :02:30. | :02:34.
lots of land and cities in Iraq, and the Iraqi government | :02:35. | :02:37.
A couple of years ago, some countries including the UK | :02:38. | :02:42.
and the US began dropping bombs to help the Iraqi army | :02:43. | :02:45.
The Iraqi army began to win back big cities and they had been planning | :02:46. | :02:56.
Now the battle has started with 30,000 army troops | :02:57. | :03:02.
and small groups of fighters from the area. | :03:03. | :03:07.
Mosul is important because it is the last big city | :03:08. | :03:09.
So if IS loses control of Mosul, it could mean an important step | :03:10. | :03:17.
to ending their rule over large parts of Iraq and Syria. | :03:18. | :03:23.
But charities are worried about how the fighting will affect | :03:24. | :03:27.
more than half a million children and their families in the area. | :03:28. | :03:31.
Right now there are half a million children trapped inside Mosul | :03:32. | :03:35.
and parents have an impossible decision to make. | :03:36. | :03:38.
Either they stay and they risk being killed by bombs and bullets, | :03:39. | :03:41.
So what we need now are safe escape routes for children | :03:42. | :03:46.
and their families to escape from the fighting. | :03:47. | :03:49.
Right now, at reception centres in the towns near to Mosul, | :03:50. | :03:52.
we are seeing children arrive exhausted after two days of walking | :03:53. | :03:55.
Many of these children haven't been to school for two years | :03:56. | :04:00.
Many children have been caught up in the fighting and forced to leave. | :04:01. | :04:06.
No one is sure how long the fighting will last for but many people hope | :04:07. | :04:10.
they can one day return to the place that they used to call home. | :04:11. | :04:17.
And if you want to know more about what's happening in Iraq, | :04:18. | :04:21.
And don't forget if you're upset by this story or by anything | :04:22. | :04:26.
in the news, there's lots of advice at over Newsround online. | :04:27. | :04:30.
Now have you ever seen a squirrel that is completely white? | :04:31. | :04:33.
Grey squirrels are one of the most common woodland animals. | :04:34. | :04:36.
But the rarest of the lot are these white squirrels, | :04:37. | :04:40.
and a family of them has moved into a garden in Edinburgh. | :04:41. | :04:43.
According to wildlife experts there could be only around 25 | :04:44. | :04:45.
That's all from me, Newsround's back right here in about half an hour. | :04:46. | :04:54.
We will tell you who has made it to the Great British Bake Off final. | :04:55. | :05:00. |
