And I'm at the Manchester dogs home as the people here get ready for its

grand reopening. First, Manchester Dogs Home

is re-opening in a few hours time, more than a year after a big fire

destroyed its buildings. Good morning, the dogs here are

pretty excited. I don't know if you can hear them! They are pretty

excited. At the moment there are around 100 dogs staying at this dogs

home, 30 of which are up for adoption. Back in September 20 14th

sadly this dogs home was burnt down. Since then people in the local

community and many others have come together and raised more than ?2

million to get this place back up and running. We managed to get in to

have a sneak preview. These dogs are getting

comfy in their new home. And the newly-reopened centre

is better than ever. Each kennel has glass windows

and doors, and each dog The kennels even have underfloor

heating to keep them warm. The one thing that we've really

missed out on over the last 12 months has been an adoption centre

here, so to have the new kennels here and to have such wonderful

kennels here is going to mean that we can get people back

onto the site and start doing So far there are around 20

dogs living in the home, with other parts of the centre

to reopen later this year. But although these dogs have a nice

and comfy place to live now, Steve says the best place for them

is with a new owner in their home. The people who are in charge of the

dogs home said this is one small part of the rebuilt. In the future

they hold to build a bigger centre which will hold more dogs and keep

them all safe and warm. For now, back to you.

people more control over It will be up to adults around
