This is the Let's Go Club, but mini!

We've only got five minutes,

so get ready for more fun from the Let's Go Club.

I'm Beatrice.

And I'm Milo. And today we'll be making a comic.

BOTH: Let's go!

Comics are a way of using pictures to tell a story.

The pictures are put into little boxes called a strip.

And each box tells us part of the story.

This is Neil and he's really good at making comics.

So he's just the right person to show us how it's done.

-Do you know who these are?

-Yes.

-Me!

-That's right.

-And that's me.

That's right.

So what's the first thing we need to do to make a comic?

Er, the first thing we need is a character.

Why do we need a character?

You want lots of exciting things to happen

so you need a character, someone for the story to be about,

for those things to happen to.

Cool.

-OK, shall we get started? BOTH:

-Yes.

-OK, let's go.

Neil is taking us around the Story Museum.

Which is all about stories.

This room is full of funny costumes.

Wow, there's so many costumes here.

-Can we start dressing up?

-Absolutely.

-Yes!

We're dressing up because we want lots of ideas for our characters,

so dress up as the character you're going to make a comic about.

'We put on different wigs.'

This looks really weird on me, doesn't it?

'And we put on funny hats.'

Wow, it's green inside here.

I can't see!

'There are lots of things here that will help us

'find our ideas for our comic.'

Look, he's a pirate dinosaur.

I'm a judge fairy!

Now we've got some ideas, it's time to start drawing.

And Neil is going to show us how easy it is.

'Neil showed us how to make stick men into characters.

We're just drawing stick figures,

but we can easily turn it into a character, like this. A pirate.

-So we're going to have you guys have a try now.

-'I made a fairy.'

'I made a fighter pilot.'

Now we're going to start drawing comics, OK?

'The drawing was my favourite part.'

That's meant to be the sun but because it's a sausage

-it's a sausage sun.

-NEIL LAUGHS

It's a sausage-shaped sun!

OK, brilliant job, guys.

I'm going to take these away,

add a little bit of colour and get them printed.

-OK, here you go, guys.

-This is our comic book all put together.

-What do you think, Beatrice?

-I think it's really good.

Let's show our family and friends.

FANFARE

The Cheesy Fairy Comic.

The Masked Cheese.

One day in Foodland...

The sausages are running away

because they're scared of the scary Masked Cheese.

But the Sheriff was coming back from holiday.

The Masked Cheese was robbing a bank.

And the Sheriff discovered the Masked Cheese robbing the bank.

And the Masked Cheese got very scared

and ran all the way home,

to listen to some music to calm him down.

The Pixie Dust Catastrophe.

Susie discovered that her pixie dust had gone.

Her friend Julie comes along and says...

They looked all over Fairyland.

They found it in the meadow.
