Today's club is jam-packed full of pirate-y fun!

Some Let's Go-ers are having a pirate treasure hunt.

I'll show you how to walk the plank in a cool move.

Before all that pirate-y action, this weekend is Rosh Hashanah.

Emily and Fifi are going to tell us all about it.

Hi, I'm Emily and I'm eight.

Hi, I'm Fifi, and I'm also eight.

We love putting on shows for our family and our teddies.

I'm wearing my lovely dresses.

They're my favourite clothes.

And I'm dressing up in my banana costume.

And my doggie onesie.

They're MY favourite clothes.

We live with our mum, dad, and three big brothers.

-We're sisters.

-Twin sisters.

We were born on the same day.

We look just like each other.

But sometimes, we like different things.

I'm happy when I'm outside.

I love playing football in the garden.

And I'm happy when I'm playing with my dolls' house.

The dolls are a bit tired,

so I'm going to put them straight to bed.

We have bunk beds.

We take turns sleeping on the top and bottom.

I like reading, on the top bunk, to my teddies, Harry and Fluffy.

On the bottom bunk, I like brushing Cutiepie's hair.

We have lessons every week.

Well done, that was great.

Our family is Jewish,

and the best time of the year is Rosh Hashanah.

That's the name for the Jewish New Year.

We're making cards to give to our mum.

I've written "Shana Tova".

It means "Happy New Year".

I like your card, because it's nice and colourful.

To celebrate Rosh Hashanah, we always have a feast.

-Juicy!

We're making apples with honey,

and coconut in dates.

We have lots of yummy, sweet food.

Some people believe that means we'll have a sweet year ahead.

We also place a ram's horn called a shofar on the table.

It reminds people to look back over the past year.

We put our smartest clothes on for Rosh Hashanah.

It's time for the celebration to begin. Are you ready?

We have a special bread called challah bread.

When we break the bread, the feast can begin.

Fantastic Rosh Hashanah celebrations, Emily and Fifi,

those apples with honey look delicious.

We couldn't have pirate-y fun in the clubhouse

without inviting the best pirate of them all.

You hopped off the Scarlet Squid to teach us

-how to make something pretty cool.

-It is exciting.

We are going to make paper-plate pirate puppets.

-That is a lot of Ps!

But, as a pirate. I'm more fond of Rs! Ha-ha!

Well, to make sure we really are ready,

let's do the Swashbuckle Salute!

Here we go!

We're definitely ready now. Let's go!

OK, let's start off with cutting one paper plate in half.

Look at these lovely straight lines. Very good.

Now, we need to turn the plate round, and on the curved side,

we have to stick the glue on the curved side.

Just on the bumpy bits round the top of the plate.

And then, we'll turn our whole plate over

and then stick your pocket on there.

That will make a nice little bit to put your hand into.

Now, we're going to paint the other side of our plate.

This is going to be the face.

Colour in the whole plate, so your face is nicely coloured in.

Ruby, what's your pirate called?

Rusty Rosie pirate.

Rusty Rosie pirate! I like that one. That's a good one.

-Owen's got one, as well. What's your pirate called?

-Treasure!

Treasure pirate! We like a bit of treasure.

We'll move over to the red paint to paint your bandannas.

That's what the other half of your plate was for.

Did you guess that? There you are.

Millie, if you could paint your bandanna

any colour in the whole world,

-what would be your favourite colour?

-Turquoise.

-Nice!

Like the table? That's a good colour.

-We're done.

-Now to paint spots on our bandannas.

We'll do that using our sponges,

but you could use a paintbrush or even just your fingers.

-Does it have to be spots?

-It doesn't have to be spots.

You can do stripes or swirls. Whatever you fancy.

What we need to do now is pop some hair on.

If you all take some wool, a couple of bits together,

we'll bunch it together.

Maybe find a few strands, like this.

We'll bunch it up like that.

And then, we'll get some sticky tape,

and we can stick it around,

to try and make little bundles of hair like this.

And then we can stick them on to the back of our bandannas. That's it.

-What's next, guys?

-Decorate!

-We're going to decorate our faces.

We have foam shapes, but you can use stickers, paint it -

-whatever you like.

-You only have to stick one eye on,

because the other one is under the eye patch.

-There. Stick it down.

-Can you draw teeth on the mouth?

You can absolutely draw teeth on the mouth. Go for it.

This is Amber. She loves watching The Let's Go Club and dancing.

Charlie found out about saving lives at sea

when he visited a lifeboat station.

Isabel has created this cool modern art.

She's called it Watch and Glow Stick. Very unusual.

Emily has been busy baking pizza with her mum,

then they ate it for lunch.

What's that?

Oh, yes. It's time to explore the oceans

in a fun fact-finding mission.

Fact fans, today, we're finding out all about oceans.

Dolphins that flip

Surfers with tricks

A scary shark fin

Dare you dip your toes in?

Swelling waves on rocks crashing

Lighthouses that stop boats smashing

Water-blowing whales

And ships with windy sails

Let's dive into those facts.

First, there is twice as much ocean on Earth as dry land!

That sure is a lot of seaside.

The seas and oceans cover so much of the planet

that, from way out in space, the Earth looks like a big, blue marble.

All that water means a lot of sailing,

and, on old maps of the oceans,

sea monsters were drawn to show places that hadn't been explored.

You wouldn't want to bump into them during a seaside paddle!

Next, a blue whale's tongue is as big as an elephant.

Who would have "trunk" it?

Blue whales are the largest animals ever to have lived on our planet.

They might have a giant tongue, but whales don't have any teeth.

And they eat the tiniest of sea creatures -

little critters called krill.

When it comes to being a big mouth, the blue whale has got it licked.

Next... Some oceans are heavier than others.

I'll take THAT with a pinch of salt!

All seawater has salt in it that has washed into the ocean

from rocks on land.

But some oceans have more salt than others and the saltier

the water, the more it weighs.

What's super about salt is the more that's in the sea,

the easier it is to float in.

And that should really float your boat!

And, finally, in the deep, dark ocean,

there are fish that make their own light! Sounds a bit fishy to me.

These bright sparks have a special part of their body

that glows and shines.

The light makes it easier for the fish to catch food,

hook up with their friends, or scare off other sea creatures.

Some shimmery swimmers can even flash their lights on and off.

Anyone for a dance at the underwater disco? Fact!

who's a Chelsea Pensioner.

Here is Victoria doing Abe's crisscross move.

Funky feet there, Victoria.

Heidi and Lara love the crisscross too. Go for it, girls!

And Isla has been cool moving in the kitchen. Crisscross crazy!

This is Austin getting up close with a penguin.

Looks like they're having a splashing time, Austin!

And Myah has been busy in the garden doing some chalk drawing.

Speaking of cool, I've got a cool new pirate dance move to show you.

It's called "walking the plank".

The reason why it's called this is cos it looks like I'm

walking the plank on a pirate ship!

Now, it's not tricky to do and it's so fun.

I'm going to show you how.

The first step is to step onto this foot

and then point this foot on the floor.

Then, you switch.

Step onto this foot and point this one.

Then switch...

Then switch. Then switch...

Then switch.

Remember, if you use your arms to balance and occasionally look

down, it really looks like you're walking the plank on a pirate ship!

So, there you go, walking the plank!

Today's super-cool move.

We'll be using this in the club dance later on,

so look out for it.

We really like playing pirates,

so we're going to have our very own treasure hunt.

The grown-ups have hidden the treasure.

If you like treasure hunts, here's something YOU can do.

Before we search for treasure, we need to look like pirates.

We're going to make our own pirate costumes.

Let's get making!

We're making telescopes out of cardboard tubes.

We're also making Let's Go Club pirate hats.

I can't wait to be a pirate!

My telescope has gold on it.

These will help us find the treasure.

We're using sticky tape to keep our hats together.
