I think I'm looking forward to the very first moment

0:00:090:00:15

when we walk out on stage and we just experience the fans.

0:00:150:00:20

When the lights come up, the very first,

0:00:200:00:23

very first moment that the fans are going to see us because they have

0:00:230:00:26

no idea how much we appreciate them

0:00:260:00:29

and how much they actually mean to us.

0:00:290:00:31

The Mall Tour last year, we were expecting 500 kids at each city

0:00:320:00:36

and we walk in and there's like 1,200 kids, 2,200 kids.

0:00:360:00:41

Like, 3,000, 5,000 kids. We were blown away.

0:00:410:00:45

Today is the day.

0:00:450:00:47

Today we are in St John's, Newfoundland,

0:00:470:00:49

and we are having our very first show.

0:00:490:00:52

Of our first ever Next Step Live tour.

0:00:520:00:55

It's super, super exciting.

0:00:550:00:57

-I'm very anxious.

-I'm kind of overwhelmed.

0:00:570:00:59

I'm getting emotional.

0:01:010:01:03

And I'm excited.

0:01:030:01:05

I'm a little bit nervous but I think my excitement overpowers that

0:01:050:01:07

and it's just going to be amazing.

0:01:070:01:09

I think it's going to be pretty epic

0:01:090:01:11

because the venue we're in is huge and

0:01:110:01:14

the stage is massive. We're going to have so much space to tumble and do,

0:01:140:01:18

like, big tricks and stuff.

0:01:180:01:19

It's going to be crazy, I can't wait.

0:01:190:01:21

We've done a whole bunch of preparations, rehearsals,

0:01:210:01:25

tech runs and today's actually the first day that we get to

0:01:250:01:28

go on stage and perform in front of all the fans.

0:01:280:01:30

I'm just excited for that first moment where we walk

0:01:300:01:33

out on stage and see, like, the entire crowd and the screaming.

0:01:330:01:38

I know my adrenaline will go up

0:01:380:01:40

and all of a sudden we'll start killing the dance.

0:01:400:01:42

I feel like, in that moment, it just really,

0:01:420:01:46

really reminds me of how truly blessed

0:01:460:01:48

and grateful I am for everything that I've accomplished so far.

0:01:480:01:51

One, two, three, The Next Step.

0:04:370:04:39

CHEERING

0:04:410:04:43

As you can see, it's a very rainy day here in St John's.

0:04:500:04:54

Today is definitely not the day for the beach but we went.

0:04:540:04:58

We did manage to get to Middle Cove Beach

0:04:580:05:01

and see the furthest east point we're ever going to be on the tour.

0:05:010:05:06

I've never experienced anything like it.

0:05:090:05:11

It was freezing cold and windy as ever.

0:05:110:05:14

It was beautiful, even in the rain.

0:05:180:05:20

I can only imagine how beautiful it would be with the sun

0:05:200:05:22

and warm weather.

0:05:220:05:24

I threw the rocks. I wanted to see how far I could throw the rocks.

0:05:270:05:30

I tried to skip some rocks.

0:05:300:05:32

You don't get to see a lot of those kind of rocks where we're from.

0:05:320:05:35

I mean, we're from the city, so you

0:05:350:05:36

don't see any of that stuff very often.

0:05:360:05:38

Guys, I'm pretty sure we found an olive. I'm almost certain.

0:05:380:05:42

At the beach, you have to take a few selfies,

0:05:420:05:45

so, yes, we took some selfies and some group shots.

0:05:450:05:48

Guys, I want to take a picture. You got it?

0:05:480:05:51

At least pull your hoods back, so we can see who's who.

0:05:510:05:53

We were trying to take pictures

0:05:530:05:55

and you can't even see half of our faces because

0:05:550:05:57

our hoods are up and we're, like, trying to smile

0:05:570:06:00

and, like, get in the frame of the camera.

0:06:000:06:02

Newfoundland on three. One, two, three.

0:06:020:06:05

Newfoundland.

0:06:050:06:06

It's really rainy!

0:06:080:06:09

I picked up a really cool stone, actually.

0:06:100:06:13

I'm going to bring it with me all the way to Vancouver

0:06:130:06:16

and maybe like trade it off.

0:06:160:06:17

Drop one there, bring one back with me.

0:06:170:06:19

So I think it's going to be cool.

0:06:190:06:21

It was extraordinary, all of the mountains and the water

0:06:230:06:27

and, even though it is raining, it was still really, really nice

0:06:270:06:30

and a nice moment for all of us as a team to

0:06:300:06:34

kind of take in where we are and what exactly we're doing here.

0:06:340:06:38

-OK, ready?

-One, two, three.

0:06:380:06:42

To get ready for this tour, we've done a lot of prep work.

0:06:540:06:57

I mean, it's just mostly rehearsals.

0:06:570:06:59

Like, we've been rehearsing this past month.

0:06:590:07:02

# Na-na na-na na-na-na... #

0:07:020:07:05

A lot of review and we've also

0:07:050:07:06

come up with a whole bunch of new routines

0:07:060:07:09

and stuff like that for the fans to see.

0:07:090:07:11

It's been a lot of work.

0:07:130:07:14

Rehearsals was a lot for us.

0:07:140:07:16

We learned so many dances in such a short amount of time.

0:07:160:07:19

And just running through the show every day continuously

0:07:250:07:28

and, like, doing it full-out without an audience was, like, hard for us

0:07:280:07:32

and I feel like, with the audience,

0:07:320:07:34

it's going to be a little bit easier.

0:07:340:07:36

Before a show we just like to warm up and get together as a group.

0:07:420:07:46

Do some stretching and stuff.

0:07:460:07:48

In a typical warm-up, we start with a little cardio, like jogging,

0:07:480:07:51

jumping jacks, that kind of stuff.

0:07:510:07:53

Sometimes I lead it, sometimes other people lead it.

0:07:570:07:59

Er, Jordan actually lead it the other day

0:07:590:08:01

and that was pretty intense.

0:08:010:08:03

You know, we're all from different studios, so everyone

0:08:050:08:08

has, like, different exercises that they do in their warm-up.

0:08:080:08:11

So when each person gets to lead their warm-up, it's cool to see

0:08:110:08:16

the way each person has trained and, you know, what they focus on.

0:08:160:08:20

Is it the breath you're putting into the stretching or is it the,

0:08:200:08:24

you know, the alignment of your body, making sure you're

0:08:240:08:27

stretching the proper muscles or is that the conditioning?

0:08:270:08:30

I remember the first day we had rehearsals,

0:08:310:08:33

Jenny did abs with us and we were dead.

0:08:330:08:36

Jenny got up she was like, "OK, let's go."

0:08:360:08:39

We were all like beat on the ground, like, my stomach

0:08:390:08:42

was like throbbing it hurt so much.

0:08:420:08:45

Warm-ups before we do the show, they're pretty intense.

0:08:450:08:47

I love them, actually, because it makes sure that we're nice

0:08:470:08:50

and warmed up, it keeps us in shape throughout the whole tour.

0:08:500:08:52

So I'm really looking forward to being in top shape once this

0:08:520:08:55

tour is done.

0:08:550:08:57

So my solo in the show is called Showstoppa.

0:08:570:09:00

It's from season two of The Next Step.

0:09:010:09:03

It's the solo that I performed at Nationals

0:09:030:09:05

and I love it. It's so high energy and it's so much fun to do.

0:09:050:09:10

The song is so catchy,

0:09:100:09:12

so every single time I perform my solo I come off stage

0:09:120:09:15

and everyone else on the cast is singing my song and I'm just like,

0:09:150:09:18

"Ugh, stop singing it because I already have to hear it enough."

0:09:180:09:21

# When we hear that beat... #

0:09:210:09:23

I have a blast when I dance. Dance is kind of an escape for me.

0:09:250:09:29

So if I am smiling on stage, it's not false, it's really true.

0:09:290:09:33

Because I just love it so much, it just makes me feel really happy

0:09:330:09:36

and, you know, especially on tour,

0:09:360:09:38

seeing all the kids smiling at us, it just makes me smile even bigger.

0:09:380:09:42

So, yeah, I have a lot of fun when I'm on stage.

0:11:370:11:40

Michelle, you're in the way.

0:11:430:11:46

-Her name's Victoria.

-Her name is Victoria?

0:11:460:11:49

-I like calling you guys by your character names.

-OK, Riley.

0:11:490:11:53

Don't call me Riley! Kidding. Don't do it to me.

0:11:530:11:56

I don't think I look like a Michelle.

0:11:560:11:58

-I don't think I look like an Amanda.

-Yeah, you do.

0:11:580:12:02

No, I don't see a Logan.

0:12:020:12:04

-What? That's my name.

-I know, I don't see it for you, though.

0:12:040:12:07

-I see you differently.

-I was supposed to be named Raquel.

0:12:070:12:10

I was supposed to be Alexandra.

0:12:100:12:12

I'm supposed to be named Lauren.

0:12:120:12:13

-Really?

-Yeah.

-You don't look like a Lauren.

-I like Lauren much better.

0:12:130:12:18

-Really? Than Victoria?

-I don't think it suits me.

0:12:180:12:20

What about the boys? Who's been helping with the boys... look good?

0:12:200:12:24

-They don't have to do anything.

-We pluck Trevor's unibrow sometimes.

0:12:240:12:27

Wow, exclusive.

0:12:270:12:30

Exposing everyone.

0:12:300:12:31

Flaws, like bathroom things, nobody wants to know.

0:12:310:12:34

Nine weeks is a long time, so it will be

0:12:340:12:36

interesting to see how we all work together and live together.

0:12:360:12:39

I'd be lying if I said that there aren't going to be little

0:12:390:12:42

arguments and we're not going to get sick of each other a little bit.

0:12:420:12:45

Hopefully none of the boys are too messy because I'm not very

0:12:450:12:48

messy and I don't think I'll be able to deal with the messiness.

0:12:480:12:52

Actually, the girls, they get pretty messy but

0:12:520:12:54

Myles and Lamar keep their stuff really clean.

0:12:540:12:58

You come to our room now, everything is already folded in our suitcases.

0:12:580:13:01

After we wear something, we'll fold it up and we have a routine.

0:13:010:13:05

I'm going to have to work on keeping my area clean.

0:13:050:13:09

I'm a little bit messy and so is Trevor.

0:13:090:13:11

Definitely, I can tell you, I am the cleanest one.

0:13:110:13:13

I actually live with Lamar and Isaac and I'm only one who cleans.

0:13:130:13:17

I think we'll still love each other even though

0:13:170:13:19

we might want to have some alone time sometimes. I know I will.

0:13:190:13:24

But we definitely will get along still.

0:13:240:13:27

Can I please have Logan and Samantha?

0:13:270:13:30

-Whoo!

-Whoo!

0:13:300:13:31

My role on the tour is I am a substitute.

0:13:320:13:35

OK.

0:13:350:13:36

So just in case anybody gets hurt or someone feels sick,

0:13:360:13:40

I would replace them in the group dances.

0:13:400:13:42

SHOUTING

0:13:420:13:45

My role on this tour is the understudy.

0:13:470:13:50

So if anybody gets hurt, any one of the boys gets hurt,

0:13:500:13:53

I'm going to go on and take their place.

0:13:530:13:56

It's a lot harder being a sub than some people think that it is

0:13:560:13:58

because I have to learn everybody's part in everything.

0:13:580:14:02

So, because... God forbid, Logan gets hurt

0:14:020:14:05

or Victoria gets hurt and they do two different sections...

0:14:050:14:08

So, in rehearsals yesterday, Victoria was getting a massage

0:14:080:14:13

by our physiotherapist, so when we were doing the run-through of

0:14:130:14:17

the show, there was a spot missing, therefore I had to fill in for her.

0:14:170:14:21

Which is kind of scary but it was fun, it was cool being on the stage.

0:14:210:14:24

# Everybody, lose control

0:14:260:14:27

# Everybody, lose control

0:14:270:14:29

# This dance is on fire and we own the world. #

0:14:290:14:33

Bowling was a lot of fun last night.

0:14:400:14:43

I never went bowling with any of the cast members,

0:14:430:14:45

so it was cool to just have fun and just unwind and just go bowling.

0:14:450:14:49

It was funny, because I was expecting the big bowling balls

0:14:500:14:54

with the three holes, they're like ten pounds.

0:14:540:14:56

We walk in, the balls are like this big and we were like, "Oh."

0:14:560:15:00

I'm not the best bowler.

0:15:040:15:06

I'll be honest with you, man, I kind of suck at bowling

0:15:060:15:08

but it was fun, it kind of just made us feel like a family.

0:15:080:15:11

SHE SCREAMS

0:15:160:15:18

I got one!

0:15:230:15:25

THEY CHEER

0:15:280:15:31

We're gone for two months and we've never gone for this long

0:15:350:15:38

period of time, so maybe someone will get homesick.

0:15:380:15:42

I mean, maybe I will get homesick.

0:15:420:15:44

I'm going to miss my sister, I think, the most

0:15:440:15:47

because I live with her and being away for nine weeks is going

0:15:470:15:50

to be crazy hard just because I usually see her almost every

0:15:500:15:53

day and I always tell her about my day and stuff like that.

0:15:530:15:56

I'm definitely going to miss my mom and my dad. They've always

0:15:560:15:59

been my biggest supporters, front row to every dance show I've ever

0:15:590:16:03

done, so it will be hard to not have them in the audience for every show.

0:16:030:16:06

I mean, I spend every living, breathing moment with my mom

0:16:060:16:10

and I know she's feeling it too.

0:16:100:16:12

I've already called my mother probably about twice already.

0:16:120:16:16

I don't go to sleep unless I call my mom.

0:16:160:16:19

She just helps me sleep at night, to know that she's still out there

0:16:190:16:22

somewhere. Just not with me.

0:16:220:16:23

There's going to be some time where I'll definitely really,

0:16:230:16:26

really miss my family.

0:16:260:16:28

They know I love them and, I mean, smartphones, FaceTime,

0:16:280:16:32

we've got texting. We're good.

0:16:320:16:35

I won. So it was guys versus guys and it was girls versus girls.

0:16:350:16:39

I won two times in a row.

0:16:390:16:40

The two games that we played, I was number one both times,

0:16:400:16:43

so I'm really happy about that.

0:16:430:16:46

Injuries are constant. It's a thing, it's going to happen. It really is.

0:16:460:16:51

You'll have like maybe a pain in your ankle or in your shoulder

0:16:510:16:54

but we have our massage therapist and she is incredible.

0:16:540:16:59

She somehow, like, massages the injury out of your body.

0:16:590:17:03

In my solo, yes, I did... I did hurt my chin a couple times.

0:17:050:17:10

They love the spider. Every single time I do it

0:17:130:17:15

I feel like it goes quiet like, they're like, "Ohhh."

0:17:150:17:18

I'm like, "I hope that's a good thing."

0:17:180:17:21

In Jordan's solo, she does a lot of salsa,

0:17:230:17:25

so we'll all go back and salsa dance with each other, look at her

0:17:250:17:30

and she looks over in the solo, so she can see us right in the wing.

0:17:300:17:34

We mess around with each other, you know.

0:17:340:17:36

Competing with the boys is always a big thing for me. You know?

0:17:360:17:41

Because they do their flips and so on but I have my flip, so...

0:17:410:17:45

I guarantee you, if I told Jordan to become a break dancer,

0:17:450:17:48

she'd be full-out battling, B-boys. Like, she's crazy like that.

0:17:480:17:53

Yeah, bring it, boys, eugh!

0:17:530:17:54

# Little princess got you running in circles

0:18:060:18:10

# Again, you know it's me

0:18:100:18:14

# And now you look like you're living in a circus

0:18:140:18:17

# Oh, I know you'll see

0:18:170:18:20

# Come here and show me all your moves

0:18:240:18:26

# The way you bump and grove

0:18:260:18:28

# I want to feel what you feel when you're on the floor

0:18:280:18:32

# Babe, he's got you running round and now you're falling up and down

0:18:320:18:35

# I can't let you see until I know what's going on and on

0:18:350:18:41

AND THE BEAT KICKS IN

0:18:410:18:44

# Want you to want me like I want you

0:18:440:18:47

# Cos I know what to do

0:18:470:18:52

# I bet you can't survive and here I'm more...

0:18:520:18:55

# Uh-uh-uh-oh, uh-uh-uh-oh

0:18:590:19:03

# Uh-uh-uh-oh, uh-uh-uh-oh

0:19:070:19:11

# Little princess

0:19:110:19:13

# Got you running in circles

0:19:130:19:15

# Again, you know it's me

0:19:150:19:17

# And now you look like you're living in a circus

0:19:190:19:22

# Oh, I know you'll see

0:19:220:19:25

# You'll see, you'll see you'll see, see, see, see... #

0:19:250:19:29

CHEERING

0:19:290:19:33

# Come on and take a chance and see

0:19:370:19:40

# Where is it now? Where is it now?

0:19:400:19:43

# Where is it now?

0:19:440:19:46

# Where is it now? #

0:19:460:19:48

APPLAUSE

0:19:500:19:52

-Done!

-45 more to go.

-27 more cities.

0:19:520:19:55

# From the first time that I saw you

0:19:560:19:59

# There was something that took me by surprise

0:19:590:20:02

# And then I fell

0:20:020:20:03

# Oh, yeah, I fell for you...#

0:20:030:20:08

On the bus, you're living very closely with all these people.

0:20:080:20:12

There's the front living room.

0:20:120:20:14

You know, we've got a couple of couches and a TV.

0:20:140:20:16

-We've got a fridge here, fridge here.

-Freezer.

-Microwave.

0:20:160:20:19

Yeah, thermostat, you need that.

0:20:190:20:21

We all have our own bunks and then we have the...

0:20:210:20:24

Tiny little bunks to just kind of lay in your coffin.

0:20:250:20:29

So we've got three here, boom, one, two, three.

0:20:290:20:31

On each side, three, three, so it's three, six,

0:20:310:20:34

nine, twelve people can fit in this bus.

0:20:340:20:36

-It gets kind of tight here but we only ever really sleep here.

-Yeah.

0:20:360:20:40

You know what?

0:20:400:20:41

-The thing about the coffins is...

-We're calling them coffins!

0:20:410:20:44

..that is your own space. You know what I mean?

0:20:440:20:46

So if you want it messy, that's fine,

0:20:460:20:48

cos that's the only space that's yours.

0:20:480:20:49

Much more comfortable than you would think.

0:20:490:20:51

Actually, believe it or not. Hey, are we in the back?

0:20:510:20:54

The back living room also has couches and a TV, so...

0:20:540:20:57

-It's not that bad.

-Yeah.

0:20:570:20:59

Boom, boom. We make it rain in here.

0:20:590:21:00

So here is our back lounge.

0:21:000:21:02

This is usually where the guys kind of hang out.

0:21:020:21:04

This is where we have, like, group movies.

0:21:040:21:06

-Lots of movies.

-Yeah.

-Every night, movies, movies, movies.

0:21:060:21:09

Oh, my gosh.

0:21:090:21:11

What I find difficult is like not having a private space.

0:21:110:21:14

Like, I like to read my book before I go to sleep but

0:21:140:21:16

there's always so much happening, people are watching movies.

0:21:160:21:20

The boys usually stay up late

0:21:200:21:22

and talk like either in the back room of the bus or the front room.

0:21:220:21:25

-There's been one, a couple...

-I mean, you know what?

0:21:250:21:27

..moments where we've been up too late

0:21:270:21:29

-and we've been kind of loud but...

-Yeah, yeah.

0:21:290:21:31

So, I mean, we've had to tell them to be quiet a few times.

0:21:310:21:34

Sometimes we'll be up at like, I don't know, really late

0:21:340:21:38

and the girls are trying to go to bed and we're just laughing.

0:21:380:21:40

Like the most energy, just cracking jokes.

0:21:400:21:43

Turn the lights down, can you guys keep it down?

0:21:430:21:45

How are you feeling? Are you blue?

0:21:450:21:47

-Or orange?

-Hmm.

0:21:490:21:50

When all three guys are together, we get on a certain, like, speed,

0:21:500:21:56

I guess. It doesn't stop.

0:21:560:21:58

We just get a lot of testosterone. We just need to

0:21:580:22:02

be like moving and cracking jokes.

0:22:020:22:04

I do have an older brother,

0:22:040:22:06

so I know what it's like to be around that teto...

0:22:060:22:09

-Excuse me, I can't say it.

-Testosterone.

0:22:090:22:12

-Isaac likes to sleep back here...

-Yeah.

-..for some reason.

0:22:120:22:16

Isaac sleeps until about 3.30 every day.

0:22:160:22:19

This guy will sleep in. When I say sleep in, it's like IN.

0:22:190:22:22

He's IN a coffin, like, literally.

0:22:220:22:24

This is my favourite part of the whole bus. This is the washroom.

0:22:240:22:28

-Luckily, there's been no stenches.

-There's been no stenches, actually.

0:22:280:22:31

-That is crazy.

-It's pretty small.

0:22:310:22:34

But, you know, we make it work.

0:22:340:22:36

-Maybe the girls have a different opinion but...

-Yeah.

0:22:360:22:39

There's no showers on the bus, so we've got to shower here

0:22:430:22:46

and we take turns. Whoo!

0:22:460:22:47

So whoever's the smelliest, they go first.

0:22:480:22:51

# Prime time, my time

0:22:510:22:53

# Turn it up... #

0:22:530:22:55

Where's my mascara?

0:22:550:22:56

It's kind of just been like a massive slumber party

0:22:560:22:59

with the whole cast cos we've been living together on the same bus.

0:22:590:23:02

Jordan takes the most body showers. The most.

0:23:020:23:05

And does not wash her hair, so...

0:23:050:23:07

I don't want to damage it.

0:23:070:23:09

-Jordan, cleanliness is key.

-Can you guys stop arguing?

0:23:090:23:12

I'm trying to do my hair.

0:23:120:23:15

We've never really had that moment where

0:23:150:23:17

we're like yelling at each other.

0:23:170:23:18

If there's something we want to talk about we bring it up

0:23:180:23:21

and we work through it.

0:23:210:23:23

Guess what? Tonight's the night I'm washing my hair.

0:23:230:23:25

Whoo!

0:23:250:23:26

Whoo! Jordan!

0:23:270:23:30

We definitely have become closer, believe it or not,

0:23:300:23:33

the amount of time that we spend together has really affected us.

0:23:330:23:38

They truly, truly are like my brothers and sisters now.

0:23:380:23:42

If they weren't before, now they for sure are.

0:23:420:23:44

The trio that we do... Well, at first, it was actually four of us.

0:23:530:23:56

It was myself, Zac, Trevor and Isaac but Zac's not on the tour,

0:23:560:24:01

so we made it into a trio, it's called Never Get Lost

0:24:010:24:03

and it was choreographed by Luther Brown.

0:24:030:24:06

Shoot, shoot, and then you're going to bring it in.

0:24:060:24:08

You've got to really like control that, bring it in.

0:24:080:24:10

Stupid question, do we look at that?

0:24:100:24:13

Look at that. That's like the power is coming out of that chest.

0:24:130:24:16

-You feel me?

-The trio is a good number for us.

0:24:160:24:18

We like to have a number with just the guys but Luther Brown,

0:24:180:24:20

he's a huge hip-hop choreographer, so we love to perform it

0:24:200:24:23

for that reason because he uses different choreography for us.

0:24:230:24:26

The thing about this is, if it feels good, trust me, it's going

0:24:260:24:29

-to look good.

-Yeah.

-Yes.

0:24:290:24:31

If it feels whack, you know what that looks like.

0:24:310:24:33

All of us kind of really wanted to work with him and, you know,

0:24:330:24:36

they made it happen, so it was great to get to experience that, for sure.

0:26:110:26:12

-Hello, everyone.

-Hello.

-Hey, guys.

0:26:150:26:17

On stage, I love speaking on the mic. I love that part of the show.

0:26:190:26:23

It's different for us.

0:26:230:26:25

We haven't really done, ever, performances on stages before

0:26:250:26:29

and we've never really talked on a mic before, really,

0:26:290:26:32

so that, I think, is probably my favourite moment of the show.

0:26:320:26:35

They were so good.

0:26:350:26:37

-So good.

-They were great but, erm...

0:26:370:26:40

I mean, I know I'm not a tricker, per se

0:26:400:26:42

-but I've been working on this trick for like the past year.

-OK...

0:26:420:26:46

And I think it's going to top every one of the tricks that they just

0:26:460:26:48

-did on the stage, so...

-Really?

-Wow.

0:26:480:26:52

Well, audience, do you want to see Brittany Raymond's new trick?

0:26:520:26:55

CHEERING

0:26:550:26:58

Ready, Britt?

0:26:580:27:00

Everyone, whoo, Brittany!

0:27:000:27:01

I was actually surprised when you came out with that front roll.

0:27:060:27:08

-My trick is amazing.

-That was insane.

-Yeah...

0:27:080:27:11

-I didn't expect that from you, man.

-I'm so...

0:27:110:27:15

You killed that.

0:27:150:27:16

Wait, wait, wait.

0:27:180:27:20

What just happened?

0:27:200:27:21

'Since the characters in the show are so competitive,

0:27:210:27:23

'we thought it would be fun to have the boys get

0:27:230:27:25

'upset at Brittany's somersault and start a competition.'

0:27:250:27:28

THEY ARGUE

0:27:280:27:31

Settle down.

0:27:320:27:35

Take a moment.

0:27:380:27:41

Audience, why don't we settle this with a friendly trick-off?

0:27:410:27:46

CHEERING

0:27:460:27:48

Whoa!

0:27:550:27:56

Audience, did you see that? Did you see the height that he got?

0:27:560:28:01

How great is that?

0:28:010:28:03

Thanks for warming up the stage.

0:28:030:28:05

Whoo!

0:28:090:28:10

Tell me he doesn't have springs in his jeans!

0:28:110:28:14

Can you please show them how it's done?

0:28:140:28:16

That's right. Trevor, everybody.

0:28:220:28:25

Guys, I've got to be honest.

0:28:280:28:30

-It's kind of a close call.

-What?

0:28:300:28:33

-What do you mean?

-Trevor, sorry.

0:28:330:28:35

OK, OK, I have another idea.

0:28:360:28:39

If you guys are up for it, what do you say to another round?

0:28:390:28:42

-OK.

-Yeah.

0:28:440:28:46

Oh, my gosh! Do you see that?

0:28:520:28:55

-OK, thank you.

-I'm amazed, amazed.

0:28:560:29:00

OK. Lamar? Lamar!

0:29:000:29:02

Whoo!

0:29:070:29:08

OK, Brittany, Brittany.

0:29:120:29:14

-Should I just wrap this up?

-Can you please wrap this up, Trevor?

0:29:140:29:18

Come on.

0:29:180:29:20

Give it up, give it up.

0:29:200:29:22

That is what I'm talking about.

0:29:250:29:29

I think it's pretty clear who wins.

0:29:290:29:31

Guys, you guys are incredible.

0:29:310:29:33

-Amazing.

-Yeah, they're kind of really good.

0:29:330:29:35

OK, ladies, can we huddle over there to discuss?

0:29:350:29:38

We're just going to talk about this for a minute.

0:29:380:29:41

Guys, guys, you guys over here, who do you think won?

0:29:410:29:44

Me, right?

0:29:440:29:45

-CHEERING

-Yes!

0:29:450:29:47

Let's just be honest, guys, who do you think won? Let me hear it.

0:29:470:29:50

CHEERING

0:29:500:29:52

-Whoo! Hear that!

-OK, OK, OK, OK.

0:29:520:29:56

Come on, really? Left side, who won?

0:29:560:29:59

CHEERING

0:29:590:30:02

I think it's pretty clear who the winner is.

0:30:040:30:07

Yeah, I know. It's me.

0:30:070:30:08

OK, boys, I think we have a winner.

0:30:080:30:10

It's a tough call.

0:30:100:30:11

It was a very tough call. Logan, can you please take it away?

0:30:120:30:15

Drumroll please, Jordan Clark.

0:30:150:30:19

Brittany Raymond, is our winner, her front roll was just amazing.

0:30:190:30:23

I worked so hard on that.

0:30:230:30:25

'It's so funny, because there was one show where

0:30:250:30:28

'I actually did the front roll on the stage'

0:30:280:30:29

and, like, I actually hurt my neck. It's hard.

0:30:290:30:32

-Actually, like...

-It's hard.

0:30:320:30:34

-Like, I bruised my neck.

-Not everyone can do it.

-I guess not.

0:30:340:30:37

Congratulations as well, but, actually, audience, I think

0:30:370:30:40

we're going to show them how it's done.

0:30:400:30:43

-Is that OK?

-CHEERING

0:30:430:30:45

I love this dance.

0:30:500:30:52

I was so excited because it's, like, my favourite dance in,

0:30:520:30:55

like, seeing it.

0:30:550:30:56

I remember watching and being, like, "Oh, I want to do it",

0:30:560:30:59

-and then I got to do it.

-I mean, yeah, it is a lot of fun.

0:30:590:31:01

There is a lot of head-whipping.

0:31:010:31:03

Yeah, I mean, you get some strains in the neck. So, um...

0:31:030:31:06

I mean, I actually texted Jordan one day and I was like,

0:31:060:31:08

"I think I might have whiplash."

0:31:080:31:10

She's like, "I think I have a concussion." I'm like, "From what?"

0:31:100:31:13

She was like, "Our trio." I was like, "Did you hit your head?"

0:31:130:31:16

She was like, "I don't know, the amount of head whips

0:31:160:31:18

"that are happening, I'm pretty sure I have a concussion.

0:31:180:31:21

"I can't see straight." I'm like, "Are you OK?"

So Lamar and I get to do a hip-hop / ballet mashup duet.

0:33:140:33:19

Yeah, it's just, like, a blend of who I am as a dancer

0:33:190:33:23

and who Lamar is as a dancer. Then we come together.

0:33:230:33:25

-We kind of just make...

-Do a dance.

-Make a dance.

0:33:250:33:30

It came from season one when Daniel and I,

0:33:300:33:32

we had a duet where we had to combine ballet and hip-hop.

0:33:320:33:36

You are going to choreograph a ballet routine for me,

0:33:360:33:38

and I am going to choreograph a hip-hop routine for you.

0:33:380:33:42

We actually got to do it on the mall tour which we did last year, so we

0:33:420:33:46

kind of went off of what Lamar and Brennan did,

0:33:460:33:49

but we made it more fit for us.

0:33:490:33:52

-It's a bigger version of what we did on the mall tour.

-Yeah.

0:33:520:33:54

What we do in the show.

0:33:540:33:55

I don't have very many tricks under my belt,

0:33:550:33:57

but we do do synchronised backhand springs. It's very scary for me.

0:33:570:34:02

I do not like flipping, I do not like going backwards

0:34:020:34:04

and not knowing where my hands are going. I don't like it.

0:34:040:34:07

-But I'm getting better at it.

-She does it every single show.

0:34:070:34:10

She does it every single show, and she hits it perfectly.

0:34:100:34:13

Ballet and hip-hop are two completely opposite dances.

0:34:130:34:17

It's two different worlds. It's like Vancouver and St John's.

0:34:170:34:20

-It's like two different ends of the spectrum.

-Opposite ends.

0:34:200:34:23

Yeah, so it's cool to kind of showcase that in the same number.

0:34:230:34:26

Yeah.

My favourite dance is called Smile At The End Of The World.

0:36:190:36:23

I guess I just love the musicality in it, just the accents they hit

0:36:250:36:29

and the swag of the choreography, the way it feels on your body.

0:36:290:36:34

It just feels like one of those dances you can kind of chill

0:36:340:36:38

and do some nice choreo without having to

0:36:380:36:40

worry about lots of tricks and things like that.

0:36:400:36:43

That's the dance I do that lift with Jordan.

0:36:430:36:47

I guess I don't really partner with anybody but Isaac,

0:36:470:36:50

and we do some pretty cool lifts.

0:36:500:36:54

It looks like I'm just literally picking her up with one arm

0:36:540:36:57

and launching her like that, but with partnering,

0:36:570:37:00

there's always technique to it and all that.

0:37:000:37:02

I always feel pretty cool, and secretly I make faces at Trevor

0:37:020:37:06

and Brittany and Vic when they come in, because no-one can see my face.

0:37:060:37:09

I'm like...

0:37:090:37:10

They just laugh. It's a good time. These are the secrets.

0:37:100:37:13

This is behind the scenes. Behind the behind the scenes.

My daily routine is usually wake up, eat some breakfast

0:40:170:40:20

and then chill through the day.

0:40:200:40:22

I try and keep it, like, super normal through the day -

0:40:220:40:24

like, check my e-mails, catch up on everything outside of the tour.

0:40:240:40:29

If we have time before the show, we'll go, like, for a walk,

0:40:290:40:32

to a mall, like, to watch a movie or something like that,

0:40:320:40:34

just to get out of the venue and to experience fresh air.

0:40:340:40:38

But after that, we'll just come in and the girls will do their make-up

0:40:380:40:41

and the boys kind of just do whatever they want to do.

0:40:410:40:44

Then usually we go on the stage at around 4.

0:40:450:40:48

Then headspace goes into the show, "Let's do this, let's have fun."

0:40:510:40:54

Then we do, like, a mic check.

0:40:580:40:59

What's up, Victoria?!

0:40:590:41:06

A little stage rehearsal, get used to the space.

0:41:060:41:10

Then we always do a huddle before a show, always.

0:41:100:41:14

-ALL:

-One, two three - let's dance!

0:41:140:41:17

It happens pretty quickly.

0:41:170:41:19

Before we know it, we're on stage performing

0:41:190:41:21

and then we're on the bus heading to the next city. It all goes by.

0:41:210:41:24

Yeah, our days are literally just a flash.

0:41:240:41:26

-Let's go to bed.

-Pizza first, pizza first.

0:41:280:41:30

Pizza and then bed, because we have two more shows.

0:41:300:41:34

Pizza!

0:41:340:41:35

Whoo!

0:41:350:41:36

There's been so many cities I can't even remember where exactly

0:41:390:41:44

these things happen.

0:41:440:41:45

Well, we've done the show.... I don't know where...

0:41:450:41:48

We're travelling every single day,

0:41:480:41:50

and I can't remember which one is which.

0:41:500:41:52

There were times when I'd wake up on the bus, get off the bus,

0:41:520:41:55

get into the venue, not know what city I'm in, what time zone it is.

0:41:550:41:58

-Where are we? Oh, OK, that's where we are.

-What day is it?

0:41:580:42:01

When we talk about Montreal, I'm like,

0:42:010:42:03

"Wait, which one was Montreal?"

0:42:030:42:05

I don't remember that.

0:42:050:42:06

-We have to, like, say...

-Was that the one with the two...

0:42:060:42:10

-Yes, the two theatres.

-Oh!

-See? Like that.

0:42:100:42:13

Got it.

0:42:130:42:14

# Let's go out to see... #

0:42:140:42:17

Luckily, we have gotten some chances

0:42:170:42:20

to actually go out into the cities that we're in

0:42:200:42:22

and see some of the things that the city has to offer.

0:42:220:42:25

-OK, what do you guys want to do?

-Let's all go to the mall.

0:42:250:42:27

Let's go to the mall, let's go out and go to a movie.

0:42:270:42:29

Let's all go, you know, to dinner.

0:42:290:42:31

It was really cool for me, personally,

0:42:330:42:35

to kind of be in a place where I've never personally done a show before.

0:42:350:42:41

I never did a show in Montreal.

0:42:410:42:43

To go to Montreal, people that talk a completely different language,

0:42:430:42:46

to go to the show and understand what we're saying

0:42:460:42:48

and laugh at our jokes, you know,

0:42:480:42:50

I think Montreal was definitely one of my favourite ones for sure.

0:42:500:42:53

-Kitchener was huge.

-Vancouver.

-Saskatoon was huge.

0:42:530:42:56

-London was huge.

-London was huge.

0:42:560:42:57

-Red Deer.

-Red Deer.

-Sudbury.

-Sudbury.

0:42:570:43:00

-Medicine Hat.

-Medicine Hat, yeah.

0:43:000:43:02

Winnipeg. Was it Winnipeg? No, Saskatoon.

0:43:020:43:04

Saskatoon.

0:43:040:43:06

-Vancouver was amazing.

-Vancouver was incredible.

0:43:060:43:09

I'll probably always remember Vancouver.

0:43:110:43:14

Vancouver was beautiful.

0:43:140:43:16

Same with Banff. Banff, that was insane.

0:43:160:43:18

-Banff was crazy.

-Yeah, that was beautiful.

0:43:180:43:20

It's nice to have a day off and actually just realise

0:43:200:43:23

where you are, you know what I mean?

0:43:230:43:26

What's up?!

0:43:320:43:36

CHEERING

0:43:360:43:40

You know, I think we can all agree

0:43:400:43:41

that we absolutely love our fans so much. We love you guys.

0:43:410:43:44

We get a lot of questions over social media,

0:43:460:43:49

so we picked a few and we're going to get right to it.

0:43:490:43:51

Here we go.

0:43:510:43:52

Our first question - if you could have one superpower,

0:43:520:43:56

what would it be, Jordan?

0:43:560:43:58

Oh, gosh.

0:43:580:44:00

If I could have one superpower,

0:44:000:44:03

I would want to be able to turn into a mermaid.

0:44:030:44:06

LAUGHTER

0:44:060:44:08

You know? Do a little mermaid dance.

0:44:080:44:11

I've been working on it. I've been working on it.

0:44:130:44:16

But, Trev, what's your superpower?

0:44:160:44:18

Superpower? Um, I would want super strength, straight up.

0:44:180:44:21

I would want to pick up cars and stuff.

0:44:210:44:24

What about you, Isaac?

0:44:290:44:31

I want the power to fly.

0:44:310:44:34

CHEERING

0:44:340:44:36

It didn't work that time. Usually it does.

0:44:360:44:38

Usually I just kind of take off.

0:44:380:44:40

Next question - what's your favourite dance move? Trevor?

0:44:400:44:44

Yo, I like the running man.

0:44:440:44:47

I think everyone needs to answer this. Right?

0:44:510:44:53

Everybody needs to answer it. All right, Jordan,

0:44:530:44:56

what's your favourite dance move?

0:44:560:44:58

Well, I'm sorry to take this away from Vic,

0:44:580:45:00

but what's Victoria's favourite dance move?

0:45:000:45:04

CROWD RESPONDS

0:45:040:45:05

So Victoria and I are hair whip sisters. I think you should do it.

0:45:050:45:09

-Yeah!

-You know, it's always good to just do one hair whip,

0:45:120:45:15

then you've got to give it the look.

0:45:150:45:17

When the hair is not in your face.

0:45:170:45:19

Brittany, what's your favourite?

0:45:190:45:21

I've got hair in my face.

0:45:210:45:23

Um, my favourite dance move. Mine is a little weird, so bear with me.

0:45:230:45:27

It's two body rolls, and on the second one you

0:45:270:45:29

throw your arms down, so you go roll, throw, roll throw.

0:45:290:45:33

Then, as you do it, you have to do, like, a really weird,

0:45:330:45:36

ugly face with it.

0:45:360:45:38

So it looks like this.

0:45:380:45:39

CHEERING

0:45:410:45:43

Yeah, that's my favourite dance move.

0:45:430:45:45

Well, my dad is my number one fan, so he likes to think

0:45:480:45:51

he taught me everything that I know, but he really can't dance at all.

0:45:510:45:54

The only move he can really do is "raise the roof"

0:45:540:45:57

so that's my favourite too.

0:45:570:45:59

What about you?

0:46:010:46:03

My favourite dance move is the Carlton.

0:46:030:46:06

Do it, do it, do it!

0:46:060:46:07

CHEERING

0:46:090:46:11

Yes! That is my favourite move, I absolutely love that move.

0:46:130:46:17

Reason why is because you can pull it out anywhere

0:46:170:46:20

and people will laugh at you.

0:46:200:46:22

There it is, the Carlton, everyone.

0:46:240:46:26

Logan?

0:46:260:46:28

I'm a fan of the ponche.

0:46:280:46:30

Almost. You were really close, buddy. You were almost there.

0:46:390:46:42

And he's the calmest member. He's the calmest.

0:46:420:46:45

-I think I just tore my hip.

-You good?

0:46:450:46:50

Yeah, I'm good, I'm good. I'm kidding. I'm kidding.

0:46:500:46:54

Really took it that far.

0:46:540:46:57

What about you, Isaac?

0:46:570:46:58

OK, my favourite dance move, it's very artistic.

0:46:580:47:01

There's a lot of back-story behind it that inspires me to do the move.

0:47:010:47:05

It's called the pizza dance.

0:47:050:47:06

Here, I'll show you.

0:47:070:47:09

Five, six, seven, eight.

0:47:090:47:11

Serve the pizza. Serve the pizza. Serve the pizza. Serve the pizza.

0:47:110:47:15

BEATBOXING

0:47:150:47:17

Serve it up, serve it up!

CHEERING

0:47:240:47:26

So Isaac and I have been doing this duet for a couple of years now.

0:47:330:47:37

So the name of the song is Inside Out.

0:47:410:47:42

It's actually been playing on the radio, apparently, a couple times.

0:47:420:47:46

-Yeah.

-Which is crazy.

-That's crazy.

0:47:460:47:47

A couple of people told me that they heard our duet song on the radio.

0:47:470:47:50

I was like, "What?!"

0:47:500:47:52

I think for me, personally, just being a guy dancer,

0:47:520:47:56

it's nice to do some lifts.

0:47:560:47:57

And I love being lifted. It's so much fun. It's awesome.

0:47:570:48:00

You're like flying in the air.

0:48:000:48:02

That's probably my favourite as well.

0:48:020:48:04

Even if we are in the middle of the lift and it's not exactly

0:48:040:48:07

where it needs to be,

0:48:070:48:09

we'll always find a way to make sure it's right by the end of the lift.

0:48:090:48:12

I don't think anything has ever gone too wrong, knock on wood.

0:48:120:48:17

Even if the girl messes up, it's still the guy's fault.

0:48:170:48:20

It is always the guy's fault.

0:48:200:48:22

It is your responsibility to make sure the lift goes right,

0:48:220:48:25

so no matter what, you get her up there.

0:48:250:48:30

Isaac and I are really good friends. I feel like...

0:48:300:48:35

Isaac and I just have these jokes that we just take to the next level,

0:48:350:48:39

so basically before we go on stage...

0:48:390:48:42

It's either a really serious talk

0:48:420:48:43

or it's a really funny laughing session that we have.

0:48:430:48:47

We're just really silly together.

0:48:470:48:49

We have that sort of chemistry on stage

0:48:490:48:52

where it's good to work with each other.

0:48:520:48:54

-Yeah.

-Yeah.

0:48:540:48:55

-We like working with each other.

-Yeah.

# Bang bang

0:49:120:49:13

# The gun rang in my head again

0:49:130:49:17

# The light, it shines

0:49:170:49:20

# Nobody sees it

0:49:200:49:24

# A bird circling over my head yet

0:49:240:49:29

# The pitter patter

0:49:290:49:32

# It draws my halo

0:49:320:49:39

# Here your light is a ghost

0:49:390:49:42

# On my mind, you weigh the most

0:49:420:49:44

# Like a country at war

0:49:440:49:48

# Trading towns, keeping score... #

0:49:480:49:52

CHEERING

0:49:520:49:56

# Cracks in the glass when you're moving too fast

0:49:590:50:02

# And the time will turn inside out

0:50:020:50:04

# The moral isn't lost on me

0:50:040:50:07

# I know I'll never see the light

0:50:070:50:12

# If I was brave, if I was stronger

0:50:150:50:19

# Would you hold the candle longer?

0:50:190:50:22

# If I burned it to the ground

0:50:220:50:25

# If I fall, do I make a sound?

0:50:250:50:29

# I can see your head in the crowd like a soul through the clouds

0:50:290:50:33

# You're always turning me inside out

0:50:330:50:36

# Gonna fall through the cracks in the glass

0:50:430:50:49

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:50:520:50:55

My point solo is tiresome just because it's in the second act and

0:51:040:51:08

it's the first number, then right after that, I have my duet with Trev

0:51:080:51:12

and the finale, so I'm kind of like doing it so many times.

0:51:120:51:15

Especially on point, it's very difficult especially

0:51:150:51:17

because I haven't really been training in point as much,

0:51:170:51:20

but it's really, really fun and it's kind of awesome to do

0:51:200:51:23

something different because it's not as upbeat as the rest of the show.

0:51:230:51:27

It's actually a more intense number,

0:51:270:51:29

so it's kind of cool to have that contrast.

0:51:290:51:32

I'm a little nervous for my point solo, to be honest,

0:51:320:51:34

just because the stage is a little bit slippery.

0:51:340:51:37

I have this resin, though.

0:51:400:51:41

It's this rock stuff that you put in a container,

0:51:410:51:44

then you crush it and it makes your point shoes nice and sticky

0:51:440:51:46

so that you don't slide all over the stage, but still nervous cos,

0:51:460:51:50

you know, I haven't done it full out too many times,

0:51:500:51:53

but it should be good. Fingers crossed.

# And all the talk of worlds we have to conquer

0:52:290:52:34

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:53:300:53:33

The little solo I have, it starts the duet I have with Brittany,

0:53:390:53:43

another dance that we did at nationals.

0:53:430:53:45

I was given a little bit of freedom with that solo,

0:53:540:53:57

so I did the choreography for that.

0:53:570:53:59

I took a little break-dancing approach.

0:53:590:54:01

I thought it would be a cool moment to do a lot of floor work and stuff.

0:54:010:54:04

Hey. What are you doing?

0:54:040:54:06

I'm in the middle of an interview.

0:54:060:54:08

You're doing an interview without me?

0:54:080:54:11

Oh, like you tried to do the solo without me. OK.

0:54:110:54:15

We're going to just join in there.

0:54:150:54:18

What are we talking about?

0:54:180:54:19

-OFF-SCREEN:

-Your dance together.

0:54:190:54:21

Oh! Our dance. It's great, I love it.

0:54:210:54:24

He was talking about how much he loved the solo part.

0:54:240:54:26

My favourite part is when I come into the dance.

0:54:260:54:29

We were just talking about how much he loved the solo part.

0:54:340:54:36

Yeah, it's really awesome, because, like, when I come in,

0:54:360:54:39

fans don't expect it, so they just come out of nowhere.

0:54:390:54:41

It's the best. Like, they love it, cos, you know.

0:54:410:54:43

They love James, but James and Riley together is like...

0:54:430:54:46

-They get upset at that part.

-No, they love it.

0:54:460:54:49

-Have you ever dropped Brittany?

-Yes!

-No, I haven't.

0:54:510:54:54

-He did it once.

-I have never actually dropped you.

0:54:540:54:57

-I'm kidding.

-Don't lie.

-He actually hasn't.

0:54:570:54:59

This is truthful here.

0:54:590:55:00

We were doing a lift and I had to lean into it.

0:55:000:55:03

He literally didn't hold me at all. I just fell on the ground.

0:55:030:55:06

Oh, yeah. But, no, no, that was because

0:55:060:55:08

we were in the middle of choreography.

0:55:080:55:10

We were like, flowing, flowing. She was like, "Oh, yeah, boom."

0:55:100:55:13

-I was like, "What?"

-We were in it. We were doing it.

0:55:130:55:15

No, we weren't doing it full out. But you went for it.

0:55:150:55:17

We were. We were doing it.

0:55:170:55:19

He doesn't know what he's talking about.

0:55:190:55:22

What's your favourite part of the duet?

0:55:220:55:24

I actually kind of like one of the lifts that we do.

0:55:240:55:27

-Which one? That one?

-Yeah.

0:55:270:55:29

It's the last one, it's really, really hard,

0:55:330:55:35

so when it's done, it's like...

0:55:350:55:37

"Yes, we did it."

Right now, I'm practising my solo for Oxygen.

0:57:560:57:59

Oxygen was originally Isaac's solo song for season two.

0:57:590:58:04

SONG: Oxygen

0:58:040:58:06

But they gave it to me because they want to see what

0:58:100:58:13

I can do with the song and the dubstep-y feel to the music.

0:58:130:58:16

Depending on the city, I'll still perform the solo.

0:58:190:58:21

We kind of switch on and off depending on, you know,

0:58:210:58:25

if maybe Lamar's ankle hurts or my hip hurts today.

0:58:250:58:29

You know, we'll kind of tag on and off of who does the solo.

0:58:290:58:33

Isaac is all about spins, jumps, turns, legs,

0:58:330:58:37

whereas I have a much more street, hip-hop flavour when I dance.

0:58:370:58:41

So everyone kind of has their own, kind of, certain style.

0:58:410:58:45

Now it's my turn to bring my style to that stage.

0:58:490:58:52

You'll be able to do it.

0:58:550:58:57

'Lamar and I, we do a lot of choreography together,

0:58:570:58:59

'so when one of us has a piece to do,'

0:58:590:59:01

we like to just help each other, cos we get inspired by each other.

0:59:010:59:04

We have, like, two really different styles,

0:59:040:59:07

but when we collab them, we can work so fast.

0:59:070:59:09

He's just doing his solo just now,

0:59:090:59:11

I thought I' just come up and help him.

0:59:110:59:14

We get it done so quick. Plus, it's fun.

0:59:140:59:16

It's great working with Trevor.

0:59:200:59:22

We really excel in working together, you know?

0:59:220:59:25

That's why people love The Next Step,

0:59:250:59:27

because of how we come together.

'You don't ever get to see us teach.'

1:01:321:01:34

-Both Isaac and I teach all the time.

-Yeah.

1:01:341:01:37

And it's something we really enjoy doing, so it's fun to go

1:01:371:01:40

all across Canada and teach everyone steps that everyone can do.

1:01:401:01:45

All right, you guys have been such an incredible audience

1:01:451:01:48

all night watching us dance.

1:01:481:01:50

Now it's time for you guys to get up and on your feet and dance with us.

1:01:501:01:55

-A lot of the parents are very hesitant.

-Yes.

1:01:551:01:58

You can see them, so I come in on the mic and I'm like,

1:01:581:02:00

"That means moms, that means dads..."

1:02:001:02:03

That means grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters.

1:02:031:02:08

Everyone on your feet, let's gooo!

1:02:081:02:11

'A lot of the cities, there will be parents that won't

1:02:131:02:16

'and they'll just sit there and let their kids do it.

1:02:161:02:18

'I saw a few parents sitting down and I was like,'

1:02:181:02:21

"Come on, guys," and instantly they were like, "All right, fine,"

1:02:211:02:24

and they stood up right away.

1:02:241:02:26

We are lucky enough to have the leader of the TNS Spirit Squad,

1:02:261:02:31

Miss Jennie Pappas.

1:02:311:02:33

Give her a hand.

1:02:331:02:35

And she was lucky enough to get us

1:02:371:02:39

two of the TNS Spirit Squad team-mates...

1:02:391:02:43

Can I have Victoria and Logan out on the stage?

1:02:431:02:45

We come out and we help...

1:02:481:02:50

-We assist them.

-It's pretty awesome.

1:02:501:02:52

Basically so the kids can, like, mimic us,

1:02:521:02:54

so if we go left, they go right.

1:02:541:02:56

The first move, we start with this arm

1:02:561:03:00

and all we're doing is pulling down and then we push down.

1:03:001:03:03

'Having them up there, it just gives us, like, a second...'

1:03:031:03:07

If we don't have to do this move, we can just watch and point at them.

1:03:071:03:11

Dougie and Dougie and Dougie and Dougie. Yes!

1:03:111:03:16

'Any time that everyone is just excited to dance with us'

1:03:161:03:19

is awesome and there so many people who don't dance

1:03:191:03:22

that come to see the show. Like, you don't have to be a dancer

1:03:221:03:25

to learn the steps that we're doing.

1:03:251:03:27

And now the fourth move in my section, OK,

1:03:271:03:30

it's very, very important, OK? It's my favourite dance move.

1:03:521:03:55

1:06:271:06:30

It so interesting going from city to city to see what our fan base is.

1:06:301:06:35

In every city we go to, there's the same amount of screams

1:06:351:06:38

and the same amount of appreciation.

1:06:381:06:41

CROWD ROARS

1:06:411:06:43

I can't even describe it.

1:06:431:06:44

It's so crazy that 3,000 people feel the same as, you know,

1:06:441:06:48

the 100 or 200 people.

1:06:481:06:50

Even in some cities, like, they're quieter

1:06:531:06:55

but you can tell that they appreciate us more.

1:06:551:06:57

Like, they are watching us and they are so into us, like this.

1:06:571:07:00

They are so intrigued. It's the most amazing thing.

1:07:001:07:03

I remember specifically my solo, I'd go into this one part

1:07:041:07:08

and I stay at this one corner and this one little girl was just...

1:07:081:07:12

staring, so I was like...

1:07:121:07:13

And she...just kind of had a moment like...

1:07:151:07:17

-"Oh, you waved to me?!"

-"Hi, hey, how's it going?"

1:07:171:07:20

You know, and that's just really cool.

1:07:201:07:22

It's really awesome just for them to see

1:07:221:07:24

and almost feel like they've met us because we are closer to them.

1:07:241:07:28

What's up, Saint John!

1:07:281:07:30

We're not on a TV, we're right there in front of them and for us

1:07:321:07:36

to see them and them to see us is just a really awesome connection.

1:07:361:07:40

It's really cool.

1:07:401:07:42

-Hi! What's your name?

-I like your hair.

-Oh, thank you!

1:07:421:07:45

What's your name? Oh, we're taking a photo? OK.

1:07:451:07:48

Hi, how are you guys? I'm Jordan. Nice to meet you.

1:07:481:07:53

And what's your name? Sorry, I missed it. Brie?

1:07:531:07:56

'Usually we don't leave the venue until, like, 11:30.'

1:07:581:08:01

-Yeah, we leave later.

-Yeah.

1:08:011:08:02

The fans have been waiting outside the venue sometimes near our bus

1:08:051:08:08

and we go out and we get to see them and actually talk to them and take

1:08:081:08:11

-pictures with them and stuff. That's been pretty crazy.

-Yeah.

1:08:111:08:14

And sometimes they even write on our bus.

1:08:141:08:16

Yeah, if the bus is dirty cos the bus is really dirty,

1:08:161:08:19

-they'll write, like...notes.

-"I heart Michelle, I heart Amanda."

1:08:191:08:23

-Stuff like that.

-It's really cute.

1:08:231:08:25

You guys have any questions or anything?

1:08:251:08:28

Anything that you've been dying to ask?

1:08:281:08:30

Want to come home with me?

1:08:301:08:32

Yeah, I mean, can I get a drive? We haven't slept in a real bed

1:08:331:08:36

-for a while.

-Yeah.

-We just slept in a real bed last night.

1:08:361:08:40

A real bed would be really nice.

1:08:401:08:43

'Our first show, the lights came up and it was just so large and

1:08:431:08:47

'enormous and I was so taken aback by it and I came off the stage

1:08:471:08:52

'and...could barely breathe because of the effects that they put on us

1:08:521:08:56

'and our tour manager, she was like, "Are you OK?" I was like...'

1:08:561:08:59

"Just, it's all good, I'm not going to cry, that was amazing!"

1:09:001:09:04

I remember when we were in Montreal, we were walking to our buses

1:09:041:09:08

and there were a couple of fans waiting and I was like, "Hold on...

1:09:081:09:11

"It's been, like, three hours since the show."

1:09:111:09:13

And they were waiting outside the whole time, so it kind of

1:09:131:09:17

blew me away that people will actually wait that long to meet us.

1:09:171:09:21

That's why I love this tour so much, that's why I am loving

1:09:211:09:23

performing on stage, because you actually get to see the fans,

1:09:231:09:26

you get to watch them enjoying it, you see the reactions and stuff.

1:09:261:09:29

It becomes so much more real.

1:09:291:09:30

Yes, they are watching us dance, but, in the same way,

1:09:301:09:33

we're watching the fans, too. We're watching them react,

1:09:331:09:35

we're watching them enjoy it, which is really special.
