-to make the decision to retire.

-My shoulder has caused me problems

-and it's too painful to play.

-I was disappointed to have to end

-my career in this way.

-I'm proud of what I've achieved

-during my playing career.

-The Gwendraeth Valley boy has had

-quite the career on the pitch.

-I won 76 Wales caps

-and three Lions caps.

-I have many wonderful memories and

-highlights from my playing career.

-Dwayne is a familiar face and voice

-We all enjoy dancing but

-it's very popular in North Wales...

-..and the Barton Dance & Drama

-Academy has 300 pupils every week.

-This year,

-the academy is 25 years old.

-One of the classes also visited one

-of the world's most exciting cities.

-Yes, the school was invited

-to New York by Dream Makers...

-..who offer unique experiences

-to performers of all ages.

-Performing on Broadway was

-definitely a memorable experience.

-There were eight schools but

-we were the only ones from Wales.

-Our ten-minute routine was aptly

-about Broadway and New York.

-I've never been abroad

-so it was great to fly...

-..and have such an incredible

-experience with some lovely people.

-I can't put it into words

-how it felt to dance on Broadway.

-Your routine for New York

-had a lot of costume changes.

-Yes, but we're used to it

-as it happens in our annual shows.

-You need to be quick.

-Yes, but one of our secrets

-is that we wear a lot of layers!

-It was very surreal when I was

-on the stage but it did sink in.

-I thought,

-"Wow, I've just danced in New York!"

-It was incredible

-and a worthwhile experience.

-Was New York the best thing you've

-experienced in the world?

-Yes, and I never thought

-I'd go to New York.

-When 20 children are taken

-across the ocean to America...

-..it's important that their parents

-are their chaperones.

-The parents got to visit New York

-and go to Bloomingdale's, Macy's...

-..the Statue of Liberty

-and Central Park.

-I think the parents had as much fun

-as the children!

-Sorry, parents as we know that

-you're also proud of your children.

-All the "Dance Mums" were proud of

-the incredible Broadway performance.

-Miss Helen Barton has been my

-dance teacher since I was about two.

-She's like my best friend and mother

-to us all so I'd like to thank her.

-We've danced all over the UK,

-Disneyland Paris and Florida...

-..and a Mediterranean cruise but

-the highlight has to be New York.

-I'm very proud of this dance group.

-There aren't many boys in the group

-but you obviously love it.

-Yes, and it's changed my life

-as I used to be shy and unsure.

-Dancing has helped as I now know

-what I want to do in the future...

-..and the school

-has put me on the right track.

-Dancing in New York has to be the

-pinnacle of my time in the school.

-I'm still can't quite believe it!
