-trails in Britain if not the world.

-There's Merthyr's Bike Park Wales

-and Coed Y Brenin near Dolgellau.

-As a result, we're starting to draw

-major tournaments to the country...

-British Cycling MTB Championships...

-..that were staged at

-Pembrey Country Park last weekend.

-These days, there's no shortage

-of various cycling races in Wales.

-The best international cyclists

-rarely gather in Carmarthenshire...

-..but they are here

-for this important race.

-This is the first five races held

-across Britain in the coming months.

-They've managed to attract

-some of the world's best cyclists.

-They are chasing the desired points

-to compete in Rio 2016.

-Many competitors who hope to travel

-to the Olympics will compete here.

-The standard has improved from

-last year as people want the points.

-Time is running out and there are

-some important points up for grabs.

-There's a lot of points available

-so that's in the back of my mind.

-It's great the first round of the

-British Championships is in Pembrey.

-As a local, it's great to see the

-world and Britain's best cyclists.

-Mountain bike races vary,

-but this cross country race...

-..asks for a lot of stamina and

-skill to cope with technical areas.

-Last night, it rained and

-the course is quite technical.

-We came at the start of the week

-and it seemed like a fast track...

-..but it has changed quite a bit,

-so it's challenging.

-Sunday was the big race day with

-Grant Ferguson winning the elites.

-This will strengthen his hopes

-for reaching Rio.

-The course was also open

-for amateur races on Saturday.

-Today, for a lot of people

-this is course practice...

-..but we have got a

-sport race going ahead.

-If you're just getting into racing,

-this is the race you would enter.

-We've also got the open and

-fun races which are shorter.

-We have a 5.6km lap here

-and the sport men will do 4km...

-..open men will do 3km

-and fun men will do 2km.

-The races are dependent on ability.

-How did it go?

-It went well, I managed to win

-my category and I'm pleased.

-It looks like a muddy course.

-Yes, it was very muddy

-at the beginning.

-Once you reached the sand dunes,

-it dried off a bit.

-I've been taking part in the support

-races, the sports man, open and fun.

-I took part in the fun race

-and we did two laps.

-What are you doing here?

-We're camping hear and heard of the

-British Mountain Bike Championships.

-You'll find everything in Pembrey

-for all abilities.

-It's safe with miles of cycling

-tracks on tarmac and in the forest.

-Attracting people and organizing

-races like this isn't easy.

-Matt Page from Llangadog should be

-applauded for his hard work.

-Matt is known around the world

-as he was previously a pro rider.

-He's come to the end of his career

-and has turned to organizing races.

-Where did you get the idea?

-The idea is about four years old.

-I was writing the series, Dim Byd.

-It featured some sketches.

-We were thinking about themes

-for sketches.

-One of the sketches featured

-a lookalike company.

-It all grew from them.

-Did you think of Linda

-when you wrote the programme?

-I knew that the agency should be run

-by someone like Linda Brown.

-The lookalikes aren't

-professional actors.

-Was that intentional?

-When we were working on Dim Byd...

-..we decided to stay away

-from actors.

-That ethos continued with 'Run Sbit.

-I don't think it would have worked

-with proper actors.

-It had to be a credible idea.

-Let's have a quick word

-It's very strange.

-I think I've enjoyed it a lot.

-It's been incredible for me.

-I can't believe that I've been able

-to work on two programmes.

-My song is about a broken heart

-and when a relationship falls apart.

-It's wonderful to have every country

-and I think it's excellent.

-I liked the fact that there
