-based in Llwynhelyg in Ceredigion...

-..because they recently won a prize.

-Daf Wyn heard more about it

-and met the owner and locals.

-Llwynhelyg Farm Shop is located

-near Sarnau village in Ceredigion.

-It's famous in the area for selling

-a selection of fresh Welsh produce.

-Teifi and Jenny Davies founded

-the business back in the 1980s.

-Teifi is responsible for

-the food and farm...

-..and Jenny bakes an assortment

-of delicacies in the kitchen.

-Over the years, Llwynhelyg has

-won awards for numerous reasons.

-But the latest award

-is quite an accolade.

-We've won the award for

-Best Independent Retailer in Wales.

-We're in complete shock as

-we were unaware of the nomination.

-We found out via Twitter

-with a tweet that congratulated us.

-It was a complete shock to us and

-thrilling so we are very pleased.

-It's obviously a reflection

-of some of your cooking as well.

-I hope so as people do come back and

-say our shop has made their holiday.

-We offer a vast selection including

-three varieties of potatoes...

-..two different types of cabbage

-and three varieties of carrots.

-The list is endless,

-so the customer has a choice.

-Developing the business has been a

-labour of love since the mid 1980s.

-It all started opposite the shop

-on the site of Teifi's family farm.

-I was born on the farm

-so I'm going back to my roots.

-We farm on over 100 acres of land

-with our bison, Hereford cattle...

-..Welsh Blacks and Aberdeen Angus.

-We aim to focus on this

-in the future.

-How did it evolve

-from the farm to the shop?

-We ran a dairy business

-but a milk quota was introduced.

-We had to think of ways

-of making extra money.

-We sold vegetables

-and milk from the farm.

-The farm shop has developed

-since focusing on Welsh produce.

-I visit the shop a few times a week

-as I only live up the road.

-People visit at the last minute

-and you have to cook for them.

-I'm able to slip to the shop

-and there's plenty of choice.

-There's quiches and salad

-and other quality items.

-They stock an array of produce

-and it's all first class.

-They are worthy winners

-because of the produce they stock.

-They sell local produce alongside

-their own produce and delicacies.

-We always call into the shop

-on our way home.

-The family and food are great

-- hello, Jenny!

-Despite their recent accolade

-and continued success...

-..Teifi and Jenny are retiring...

-..to pave way for the next

-generation to make their mark.

-Over the coming years, we'll take

-a step back and focus on the farm.

-We hope that a younger couple

-will take over.

-I will miss running the shop

-and meeting people.

-But I'm sure we'll still be involved

-in Welsh food and drink.

-I was eleven years old.

-It was my first big role on S4C.

-It wasn't my first television role.

-Dad is an actor and I was always on

-set with him.

-You've done a lot of television work

-since Pen Talar.

-I appeared in Gwaith Cartref.

-I spent five years on the series.

-I've also done a film.

-I appear in High Tide

-with Melanie Walters.

-The High Tide DVD is out to buy

-at the end of September.

-The Swansea Drama Society has

-awarded Sam with a scholarship.

-They wanted to interview me

-following my application.

-They wanted to know what

-I would spend the money on.

-It will cost a lot for me

-to live in London...

-..so this money will be useful.

-Sam is about to start a three-year

-course in Professional Performing.

-The degree is held at the London

-Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

-I'll be starting on the

-26th September.

-The Royal Mint produces

-over 10 million new coins everyday.

-Coins and medals are sent to over

-60 countries across the world...

-..and it has almost 1,000 staff.

-For the first time, visitors can

-now take a peek behind the scenes.

-# Money, get away #

-This is an exciting new venture...

-..offering the public the chance

-to look behind our closed doors...

-..and the process of creating money,

-which is found in their pockets.

-Staff of The Royal Mint have wanted

-a project of this kind for a while.

-We've received funding from the

-Welsh Government and here we are.

-It feels like Christmas has come

-early as I entered The Royal Mint.

-I started collecting old coins

-from the age of five.

-The coins I collect are usually from

-the Tudor times and Stuart period.

-All of the coins

-were made by hand...

-..but today, millions of coins

-made in a small amount of time.

-There are many fantastic

-things to do when you visit.

-The Guided Factory Experience allows

-you to see the machines at work...

-..before seeing the workers strike

-the coins at the Coining Press Room.

-Visitors are gobsmacked

-to see our workers.

-The history of The Royal Mint is

-something that stuns all visitors.

-Alfred the Great first established

-the Royal Mint in 886 AD.

-From 1279 until the 19th century...

-..it was located

-within the Tower of London.

-It also moved to Tower Hill,

-London...

-..before moving to Wales

-and Llantrisant in 1968.

-On a visit to the factory,

-you learn a lot about the history...

-..and admire

-a variety of treasures...

-..including Olympic gold medals

-and historical coins.

-I've seen a penny from 1933

-for the first time.

-Only twelve of these coins exist...

-..and one of these was sold in

-America for half a million dollars.

-After seeing the factory workers...

-..the visitors can strike

-their own last round pound coin.

-Next March, a new pound coin

-will be available.

-One of the highlights for me was

-seeing Edward VIII gold sovereign.

-These are extremely rare

-as Edward renounced the throne.

-A whole set of Edward VIII gold

-coins were sold for over 1 million.

-Whether you're an expert,

-collector or wanderer...

-..this site

-is certainly worth a visit.

-We hope to have 130,000 visitors...

-..and we hope it grows

-even further in the future.

-main chef at The Orchard in Cardiff.

-I have the freedom to cook anything

-and exhibit my talents.

-I'm able to cook the things I love.

-I baked as a child

-with my grandmother.

-She enjoyed cooking

-and making Welshcakes and scones.

-I studied cooking at college...

-..and worked at a fine-dining

-restaurant called Hammet House.

-I developed my skills here.

-If Osian is the chef,

-then what is Catrin's role?

-I market and manage the business.

-I also take bookings

-and do similar tasks.

-Where will your bread?

-We hope to sell at food festivals

-and to local businesses.

-Catrin and Osian have moved back

-to his late grandparents' house.

-He's gone back to where

-his love for baking started.

-She enjoyed watching me cook when

-she came her to make Welshcakes.

-It's quite humbling

-to be cooking here.

-We've wanted to move back here

-for a long time.

-I also missed having a garden.

-He's also got a mountain of patience

-- the all-important ingredient!
